1) What will be #1? "Because of You"
2) What will be #11? One of the broken heart songs (Don Henley, Vince Gill)
3) Which songs will be in the top 5? "Sleeping with the Telephone" and "When You Love Someone Like That" should be locks. I also think her duets with Ronnie Dunn and Trisha Yearwood will be strong contenders.
4) What song will be most polarizing? Least polarizing? Most: "Every Other Weekend" / Least: "Because of You"
5) Which of the singles will place highest? Where will it place? (Because of You, Every Other Weekend, The Only Promise That Remains) "Because of You" at #1
6) Which of the singles will place lowest? Where will it place? "The Only Promise That Remains" at like #9ish.
7) What will be the highest-placing album track? Where will it place? "When You Love Someone Like That" at #2
8) Any other thoughts/predictions? "Every Other Weekend" is dragged down by Kenny Crapney so I hope it finishes in the bottom half of this.

1) What will be #1? ~ "Because of You" should easily win this.
2) What will be #11? ~ Hmm...not really sure. "She Can't Save Him" maybe?
3) Which songs will be in the top 5? ~ "Because of You", "When You Love Someone Like That", and "Sleeping with the Telephone" should be up there for sure. I'd also like to see "Every Other Weekend" and perhaps "Does The Wind Still Blow in Oklahoma" make it there too.
4) What song will be most polarizing? Least polarizing? ~ Most polarizing will most likely be "Every Other Weekend" and least polarizing might go to "Break Each Other's Hearts Again".
5) Which of the singles will place highest? Where will it place? (Because of You, Every Other Weekend, The Only Promise That Remains) ~ "Because of You" will land at #1.
6) Which of the singles will place lowest? Where will it place? ~ "The Only Promise That Remains" outside of the bottom three, maybe #8 or #7.
7) What will be the highest-placing album track? Where will it place? ~ "When You Love Someone Like That" should make the top five, and it wouldn't surprise me if it was #2.
8) Any other thoughts/predictions? ~ This was an odd album to listen to imo; all of them sounded great, but I think the song selections left much to be desired. Upon the first few listens, there weren't that many standouts to me outside of the two big singles except maybe "Sleeping With the Telephone" and "When You Love Someone Like That". The latter two grew on me over time. However, I think there were more clunkers than gems on this album as I found some of the album tracks to have underwhelming melodies and very few redeemable qualities. I'll try to comment more once reveals begin though!

Flops told me he doesn't actually have time to submit a list, so let's go ahead and get started early! Contrary to our last album, the last place was FAR from obvious. We actually had four songs fighting it out for last place... Coming up at #11, we see a song that made it up as high as #5 before finding its way to the bottom!

Everyday people are the ones who are making miracles, And it's beautiful. Everyday people lifting up the world Like an answered prayer. I thank God they're there. They're the one's who care. Everyday people.

Bowing out in last place, we say goodbye to the Carole King collaboration, "Everyday People". Like I said before, this song was far from universally hated. It actually seemed like the majority of people put it in the 7-8 range. However, there is a lot of competition on this album, and the overall lack of high ranks came back to bite it in the butt in the end.
I do think this is out too early. There are some clunky lyrics making the song come across as more cheesy than it probably needed to be, but overall the chorus is catchy and the electric guitar melody is infectious!

Carole King is one of my favourites, and I was so glad when she and Reba worked together. I wish it had been with a song that Carole wrote, but this one was really good too. I missed participating in the pre-reveal questions, but I am really surprised that this song finished in last place.

Kicking off the top 10 we say goodbye to the Vince Gill duet. This is yet another song where it seemed like just about everybody put it in the 7-9 range, which doesn't mean it was necessarily hated, but in the end it ended up having too few high ranks to pull it ahead of the competition. This song's strong point is in the production, but I think that it would have made a better solo song for Reba. (And yes, I say that knowing that it is actually Vince's song... Lol) But I just feel like in this duet version, his vocal performance is not as emotionally invested as Reba's, so his half of the song is pretty boring, and completely takes me out of the song.

Given how epic their past collaborations have been, this song with Vince Gill was a total waste.

Leaving us at #9, we will say goodbye to a song that SHOULD be way better-liked imo... I think people over-hate it because of who the duet partner is...

We were just two hearts Bound for different roads. Why they didn't lead us to forever We may never know. Oh, I will carry you with me. I will hold on to our memories. Don't let the dreams we didn't find Make you feel like giving up. Keep holding on, And don't lose your faith in love.

"Faith In Love" was one of the more consistent last-place contenders in this rankdown. It was last place for the majority of the first half of the submission process. However, this song also got a bit more love than the last two, including the first top 3 rank we've seen so far and multiple other top 5s. In my opinion, "Faith In Love" is an incredible song! The lyrics shine brightly for sure, but I also think Reba and Gary sound great together. The production is very wall-of-sound-ish, very much like a Rascal Flatts song, but the melody more than makes up for it. That whole interplay between the two vocalists on the "Oh, I will carry you with me" and "I will hold onto our memories" lines has always jumped out to me in particular as being one of those iconic moments that randomly pops into my mind even when I haven't heard the song for months...

Carole King has some phenomenal songs in her earlier catalog, but I don't think Reba's vocal styling meshed very well with Carole's in "Everyday People".
Reba and Vince go very well together (vocally, that is), but "These Broken Hearts" was very underwhelming for me and didn't improve much after more listens. Sorry guys.
Despite my middling rank for "Faith in Love", I do like it quite a bit. It does tend to be schmaltzy at times, but I too wouldn't have minded seeing it go just a little bit further than it did here. Definitely wasn't bottom three worthy imo.
I anticipate that "Break Each Other's Hearts Again" will be coming up soon alongside maybe "She Can't Save Him"?

I meant to come back around to the pre-reveal questions but by the time I woke up from my nap you had already started lol...
Anyways no real surprises with the first three reveals and I probably would've predicted "Everyday People" to come in at or near last place. I liked more and more after each listen but knew that it would likely fall to the bottom 3 for quite a few participants.
I'm content seeing "Faith In Love" leave early because the song just never clicked with me and it had nothing to do with Rascal Flatts because more than not I enjoy their music.
As for what to expect next I could see "Break Each Other's Hearts Again" leaving soon because I think Don Henley is a bit polarizing on Pulse.

happy to see "Everyday People" go first. While I think it is an okay song (I don't dislike anything) I also don't love it and think something about the song just feels off. That is how I feel about "Faith In Love" as well, as much as I do think Gary and Reba sound good together the song just doesn't work for me like most of the songs do.
I figured "These Broken Hearts" would go early and I'm not sad to see it go but I do like it well enough. They could have definitely done better than this though for sure.
My #9 is not going anytime soon but I kinda wish it would lmao.

I hope one of the singles will be eliminated next. I actually quite like Faith in Love and These Broken Hearts and I only ranked them so low because I like almost every song on this album and this two are just not as memorable as are some other songs. Everyday People has a nice melody and Reba and Carol sounds good together but lyrics are just bad/too cheesy and this is one of two songs on this album that I usually skip.

"Everyday People" just works for me despite the cheesy lyrics, I loved Reba and Carole together. Having said that not too surprised to see it out early.
"These Broken Hearts" is great however, Reba and Vince just always sound so good together imo. I also just really love the production and lyrics to this one. I expected this to escape the bottom 3 though. :(
My distaste for "Faith In Love" has nothing to do with Rascal Flatts, it's the song itself. It doesn't stand out to me and I honestly can never remember how it goes despite knowing every other word to the lyrics on this album. It's forgettable and that's a killer on an album I find to be so strong otherwise.

"Break Each Other's Hearts Again" was another consistent last place contender, spending the majority of the first half of the rankdown in last place. It did manage to accumulate a flurry of high ranks, however, which ultimately saved it from being in the bottom 3. It was so thoroughly saved, it made it the highest out of all the last-place contenders! Everything from this point forward was never even close to landing in last place :)

Up next, the 2nd most polarizing song! Despite four last-place ranks, this song was never actually a last-place contender... Probably thanks to the 7 top 5 ranks it got!!!! The first #1 loss of the rankdown happens next as well
