My dilemma is do I rank these on the all time impact I feel they’ve had on me, or do I go with what I go back to listen to most now... ugh.

Not gonna have time to finish this one, unfortunately. I've only listened to this album like twice all the way through prior to the rankdown (eek) so not enough to give it a solid ranking. I'll gladly follow along though.

1. What song(s) do you think could win the Born to Fly rankdown? Honestly, I think any can win. Born to Fly seems the most obvious choice, but I think it will be between that and I Keep Looking.
2. What song(s) do you expect might come in last place? Hard to tell...maybe You Don’t Or Four Thirty.
3. Will any of the album's 4 singles (Born to Fly, I Could Not Ask for More, Saints & Angels, I Keep Looking) miss the top 5? I honestly don’t think so. IMO this is one of those rare albums (as good as the whole thing is) where the single choices were spot on. I’d like to see some surprises, but I don’t see any of them missing the top four.
4. What single do you expect to place highest? Lowest? Highest will probably be Born to Fly or I Keep Looking. I’m guessing lowest will be Saints & Angels
5. What album track do you think will be the highest and where will it land? I’d go with Why Should I Care, probably #5. If any song places higher than one of the singles, I’d guess it would be this one.

1. What song(s) do you think could win the Born to Fly rankdown? Frankly, it could be ANY of the singles... Most likely the title track, but dark horse to "Saints & Angels". 2. What song(s) do you expect might come in last place? This is an impossible question, because the only last-place-worthy song was left out of the rankdown... I will literally be disappointed with what gets eliminated first no matter what. I could see it being either "You Don't" or "I Learned That From You" though. 3. Will any of the album's 4 singles (Born to Fly, I Could Not Ask for More, Saints & Angels, I Keep Looking) miss the top 5? Nope! I agree that they totally nailed the singles this era. The 4 singles will be the top 4. 4. What single do you expect to place highest? Lowest? Highest: "Born To Fly" or "Saints & Angels", at #1. Lowest: "I Keep Looking" at #4. 5. What album track do you think will be the highest and where will it land? This is SUPER tough, because while this is an extremely consistent and incredible album, it is not really one where the album tracks have been pined over by the masses as missed single opportunities, a la "Rocking Horse", "Niagara", "New Hometown", "Missing Missouri", etc. I therefore have zero clues which ones will be more/less loved. I honestly expect every single one of them to be well-loved by at least some participants... I'll go ahead and predict "Let's Dance", although I could see arguments for "Why Should I Care" and "Four-Thirty" and "Show Me The Way To Your Heart" as well... 6. Any other predictions/thoughts? I am expecting results to be a huge clusterfuck... This album is too perfect. Something will have to get shafted, but nothing deserves it. I have a feeling that everybody is going to be extremely disappointed at some point during this rankdown. I cannot wait though! It is going to be such a glorious occasion!!!

1. What song(s) do you think could win the Born to Fly rankdown? any of the singles 2. What song(s) do you expect might come in last place? Either I Learned That from You or You Don't 3. Will any of the album's 4 singles (Born to Fly, I Could Not Ask for More, Saints & Angels, I Keep Looking) miss the top 5? I would be surprised if I Could Not Ask for More made top 5 4. What single do you expect to place highest? Lowest? Born to Fly (highest) I Could Not Ask for More (lowest) 5. What album track do you think will be the highest and where will it land? Let's Dance probably top 5 6. Any other predictions/thoughts? This is a really strong and consistent album. Let's Dance was a pleasant surprise (it's been stuck in my head since i submitted my list)

1. What song(s) do you think could win the Born to Fly rankdown? I'd love to see the title track win for once, but "Saints & Angels" is a contender as well.
2. What song(s) do you expect might come in last place? I'll take a stab in the dark and say "Every Little Kiss".
3. Will any of the album's 4 singles (Born to Fly, I Could Not Ask for More, Saints & Angels, I Keep Looking) miss the top 5? I sense some type of twist is gonna happen with either "I Keep Looking" or "I Could Not Ask For More" missing the top five, but just barely.
4. What single do you expect to place highest? Title track ftw please! Lowest? "I Keep Looking" or "I Could Not Ask for More" at #6.
5. What album track do you think will be the highest and where will it land? I have no idea. I'll go with "Why Should I Care" at #4; I can also see "You Don't" being pretty high as well.
6. Any other predictions/thoughts? This was NOT easy to do...AT ALL!

1. What song(s) do you think could win the Born to Fly rankdown? Born To Fly, possibly I Could Not Ask For More
2. What song(s) do you expect might come in last place? The ONLY correct choice is Every Little Kiss. It’s a “B” on an album full of “A”’s.
3. Will any of the album's 4 singles (Born to Fly, I Could Not Ask for More, Saints & Angels, I Keep Looking) miss the top 5? I don’t think so, but if one does, it will be Saints And Angels.
4. What single do you expect to place highest? Lowest? Born To Fly, Saints And Angels
5. What album track do you think will be the highest and where will it land? I Learned That From You, #4.
6. Any other predictions/thoughts? This is going to be PAINFUL. In all honestly my predictions are probably way off. I can see “I Learned That From You” and “Why Should I Care” being shafted because of their tempo, even though they are the 2 most superior album tracks.

We kick off the Born to Fly reveals with "Four-Thirty" coming in last place. Only BlueShades874 correctly guessed that this one might land at #11. It's a mid-tempo tune that finds Sara singing about hitting the road in the middle of the night to reach her love interest and curb her loneliness, crooning that if he waits up she should be there by 4:30 in the morning. This one started off outside the bottom 3 for the first stretch of submissions, but it continued to slide as more lists came in and ultimately came up 4 points shy of the song that finished just ahead of it. The passion just wasn't there for this one as it yielded only four top 5 ranks. On the other hand, it racked up four #11 rankings, which helped stop Sara's late night drive in its tracks. "Hey, I know just what I need That's you and in a hurry If I got on the road right now I'd see you at four-thirty"

"Four-Thirty" is a fantastic song. I knew the last-place would hurt no matter what because this album is perfect, but BLOODY HELL!!!!! This song is very unique, but it is odd in all the right ways. Sara's voice is so soothing and warm, and the way she launches into the chorus with that suddenly raised "Hey" line is just so damn catchy. Not to mention that the way she changes between "Hey I know just what I need" and "Hey I'm letting go" is just shocking enough to where nobody could ever possibly find the chorus to be boring. I never expected this to be the highest album track or anything, but it at minimum deserved to escape the bottom 3...

WELP. Based on the above reactions, bboat11 is probably going to continue being upset. "Show Me the Way to Your Heart" lands in penultimate position of the Born to Fly rankdown, narrowly avoiding last place in the final stretch (a spot it frequently held throughout the submission process). A light, breezy number, this song finds Sara Evans singing about someone showing her the right way to love them over groovy guitar riffs and with catchy background vocal moments peppered in. With only three top 5 ranks, the passion for this one held it back as well. Ultimately, it only got three #11 placements though, so it seems most participants weren't swayed one way or the other on this song and the majority put it somewhere in the middle. "Think you've locked your heart away Baby, I hold the key Believe me when I say My love can set you free"
