Clearly this album is not meant to be ranked as a standalone album. It is just too painful. Hopefully there's no pregnant women or people with heart problems watching this right now.

Y’all aren’t really about to let Let’s Dance escape the bottom-3, are you?

Y’all aren’t really about to let Let’s Dance escape the bottom-3, are you? Thankfully, no! "Let's Dance" rounds out the bottom 3 for Born to Fly. It actually tied with the next song to go, but loses the tie-breaker due to its highest rank being a #3 versus a #2 for the one that snuck ahead of it. One of the more uptempo tracks on the album, "Let's Dance" is a basic ditty about Sara Evans wanting to dance with her lover. Nothing more, nothing less. The melody is admittedly pretty enjoyable, which likely led to it getting six top 5 ranks, but it also fell victim to getting a lot of low ranks as it acquired five #11s, the most of any song revealed thus far. Also, at three reveals in and bboat11 has already lost 3/5 of his top 5. It spent some time in last place in the middle of the submissions process, but in the end it separated itself from the bottom two songs by 10 points. "Maybe with a little love Our world will turn slower Cause we've been moving so fast Seems life is flying past"

"Let's Dance" is catchy and she sounds great on it (no surprise), but the song has always felt like the one B-level song on an album full of A-level material. It just feels very basic, especially lyrically. They did a great job dressing it up though in the studio and Sara sings the fire out of it, but something had to be last on my list and even with this one being the clear outlier for me, it's still perfectly fine for what it is. I just feel compelled to revisit it far less than the rest of the album.

I like the whole album so none of the songs that are out are bad at all, but so far so good as far as reveals go for me!
Not upset to see any of these songs go.

bboat11 is the new flops huh... Fflops11 I liked "Let's Dance" a pretty good amount so sad to see that one leave, but the other two I'm fine with leaving (considering both were in my bottom 3).

As expected, these results were painful from the very beginning. Four Thirty is such a good song. I’m not surprised to see it at #11, but damn that still sucks. To me it shows just how strong this album as a whole is. Show Me the Way to Your Heart is another good one, but I find it somewhat forgettable compared to most of the other songs. What really surprises me is Let’s Dance at #9. I really thought it would be in the 5-7 range.
I’m somewhat surprised that You Don’t is still in. I thought that would be a surefire bottom three. I’m pleasantly surprised to see I Learned That From You still in. I kinda figured that would be in the bottom three, even though it deserves better. I don’t expect it to make it much farther, but I’m happy to see that it escaped the bottom three.

I feel like bboat11 is doing as bad here as I did on Martina's Timeless album (which is still painful). Though I do have to say these 3 were the right 3 to be the bottom 3. I liked this album well enough but I do think that the singles were among the strongest songs on this album, though I will forever not be crazy for her cover of "I Could Not Ask For More" as I've never cared for how she sounded on that one even though it has grown on me a lot over the past year or so. also "You Don't" should be the highest album track, just saying.

Winning the tie against "Let's Dance," we see "Every Little Kiss" narrowly escape the bottom 3 due to having our first #2 loss of the game. This lengthy 6-minute outro to the Born to Fly album frequently makes appearances in Sara Evans' live show even in recent years despite being a random album cut. It's no surprise though given how lively the production is on the track (with a lot of instrumental soloing), and Sara's vocal delivery is delightfully bright and cheery. For some it was less so, as it received five last place ranks, dragging it down. Despite that, it was rarely in the bottom 3 and only flirted with landing that low as the finish line approached. gardyfan gives a kiss goodbye to his #2 and a number of others lose a top 5 in the process, too. "Everybody here's a number, not a name But I guess that's alright with me"

"Every Little Kiss" is an incredible song. I'd say Sara does Bruce Hornsby proud with this one!! However, this song has always felt to me like it doesn't fit in on this album. It was my least favorite song on the album for many years, but has been growing on me exponentially the last 5 years or so Sara's vocal absolutely slays on this one, and the production holds up very well in the modern era. It is also really cool that this has managed to become a live favorite for her to perform. I wish she would perform album tracks more often! It was a very nice surprise when she switched this one into her setlist a couple years ago!

I am going to predict that "You Don't" is next, although I would prefer that one outlasts "I Learned That From You"... But I could see "You Don't" being Kanenrá:ke's #1, based on his reaction on the first page of this thread

As a collective y'all said you don't want to see "You Don't" make it any higher in this rankdown, and it bows out here in seventh. "You Don't" is a beautiful fiddle-laden number about the secret deepness with which she loves her significant other and featuring a rich, velvety vocal performance from Sara Evans. It came in ahead of "Every Little Kiss" by 6 points, but it fell short of sixth place by almost 30 points, so it never really had a chance to go any higher than this. We see our first #1 casualty of the game, as Kanenrá:ke becomes the first to say goodbye to his favorite Born to Fly track. This reveal wipes out six additional top 5s... but it also wound up with six last place ranks, too. "You don't know how it feels To be the one who loves the most How hard it is not to beg you to stay Then watch you go"

"You Don't" is an INCREDIBLE song, and I love everything about it!!! However, I expected it to be pretty polarizing, and tbh I am a little shocked it lasted this long. This is definitely a song where some would love the vocal performance, while some would consider it to be over-sung. I personally love it, and the epic fiddle-laden production just makes it that much better This is such a different song for Sara, but tbh I wish she would attempt songs like this more often!

I'm happy with 7th! 7th being I Learned That From You and You Don't getting 6th would've been even better though, js. Thank you Kanenrá:ke for giving it #1 rank it deserves! <3

The final song to depart before the top 5 of the Born to Fly rankdown is "Why Should I Care," a heartbreaking ballad detailing the emotional turmoil of taking someone for granted and only caring when they've moved onto someone else and see how much better off they are now. Another #1 loss happens here (every song in the top 7 had at least one poster rank it #1), with it being austin who loses his favorite just shy of the top 5. This also becomes the first reveal so far not to acquire any last place ranks from anyone, easily making it one of the least polarizing album cuts from the record. "Why should I care if you found somebody new And you look like you're in love And why should I care if she looks a lot like me And she's all you've ever dreamed of"

The top 5 for the Born to Fly rankdown winds up being the first 5 songs on the album, 4 of which were the singles + "I Learned That from You" (the final album cut standing).
Post top 5 predictions if you'd like!

Wow, a second perfect ranking in a row! "Why Should I Care" is an incredible song! I just love the soft, velvety shine to her voice in this song, from beginning to end. It is one of her most spectacular vocal performances on the album. It is also an incredibly underrated song, as I never hear it talked about, and had no idea what to expect from it in this rankdown.
However, I am shocked that "I Learned That From You" is going on to be the highest album track... I would have never in a million years expected it to be THAT loved! Every album track on this album is incredible, and yet that one is the only one that I could imagine ever being accused of being "boring". Which I figured would work against it!
