This was one of my favorite album track rankdowns as I became a bigger fan of Pam's because of it. I really had no idea how this was going to go and at times it was a hot mess (for me at least), but in the end the right song won! Thanks again castleoblivion26 !

What an amazing finish. "Tryin'" made it a bit further than I expected, but tbh so did the entirety of the T&R album (aside from "Jagged Hearts"...), and with it being a rankdown winner already it figures that it would do really well here. (Not that that status helped "Someone Somewhere Tonight" at all, but I digress....) But it totally deserved to do well here! T&R really feels like the sort of change-of-pace album that turns out to be a creative peak for the artist with or without radio success, similar to Faith Hill's Cry album, Terri's Fearless, and maybe even Trisha's Inside Out. "We've Tried Everything Else" is one of my favorite album track discoveries from any album series, so it was literally a no-brainer to put it at #1. This is such a powerful song, with slay-'em vocals from Pam. I was hoping it would be a potential contender to win this thing, but didn't want to get my hopes up because album tracks rds are always so unpredictable... "Mandolin Rain" is such an amazing winner though, and also one that I was hoping would be able to pull it off, so I am thrilled with this outcome!!! Another one of Pam's best vocals on record, especially when she launches into the climactic sustained bridge (y'all know I am a sucker for climactic sustained bridges!) She does Bruce Hornsby proud with this one. I first heard this on her Country Legends hits collection, so tbh it has always felt like a hit to me (same with "Sweetheart's Dance"). It is certainly amazing enough to hold its own alongside her hits, which is a huge accomplishment considering how strong her strongest hits are! Thank you for hosting castleoblivion26 I'll do the singles rd soon!

I actually gave this playlist a listen the other night and made a rough draft, but just haven't gone and finalized it yet, so I'll try to get that wrapped up today!

Also, I kinda liked this idea of doing the albums before the singles when this series started... It was definitely worth trying, and I did personally find the singles rd to be a lot easier because I was already just as familiar with the flop singles as I was with the huge hits! That being said, I feel like this singles rd is struggling as a result of its placement in this series. People who are usually interested in singles rds but don't do album series have been tuning this thread out for so long that this isn't going to get more than the 7-8 people that usually have done the albums Especially since the singles rd has been buried in the same giant OP as the album tracks rd this entire time. I honestly think this rankdown could benefit from having an entire relaunch, in a separate thread differentiating it completely from the album series, tagging everybody regularly, making sure that people who usually do singles rankdowns are specifically hunted down, etc. I know that's a ton of work though and may not be entirely practical, lol. I just know that this should easily be able to draw in the same 13-16 people that have done Tracy Byrd, Mark Chesnutt, Tracy Lawrence, Joe Diffie, etc... It's honestly not worth closing it if we only end up with like 7 people :(

I definitely want this to be as successful as other Singles rankdowns for sure!

It might be kinda neat to hear other people's thoughts too on how well this format worked!

I think bboat11's idea is a good one and I co-sign it! I'd hate to see this flop because it got lost in the mix of all her random flop albums and such that no1curr'd about, lol.
