Rapping Dustin is awful. đ€źđ€ź Sounds like he is doing his best Sam Hunt imitation on this one.

The song is TERRIBLE, but I actually don't find the title itself that egregious or stupid lol.
I'm lost on Dustin Lynch these days. I used to love him and the majority of his music, but he has become a mess and a joke to me. I HATE this rap/bro/edm style he's gone to. It's terrible. I'm lost on him until further notice lol.

@mods, it looks like you forgot to remove one of the April Fool's joke threads from this forum.

I actually like this. Kind of reminds me of âSmall Town Boyâ in a way.

Gorgeous music video. He's so good to look at. Love everything about this song and I'm looking forward to hearing it more and more on the radio. <3

Like others have said I am kind of lost on Dustin Lynch. I feel like ever since "Cowboys and Angels" his songs have basically been about a girl or having tailgate sex with a girl.
I imagine "Small Town Boy" and the success afterwards was gonna probably be the 1 shot for Dustin Lynch to become a huge household name but then "I'd Be Jealous Too" happened. Now Dustin Lynch seems to be back to coasting now.

No posts in over 6 months, so I don't care that this is a double post.
"Ridin Roads" enters the Mediabase Top 10 at #10, with the great callout solid enough sales, and bullet this week of 696 (only "What Happens In A Small Town" and "What She Wants Tonight" have higher bullets). I would be stunned if this song missed #1.
As much as the lyrics are stupid, dated and quite frankly uninspired. This song is very catchy and I do think the backing female vocalist definitely helps a lot in making me like the song, so this song is my guilty pleasure of the year.

It's a pleasant, inoffensive bop. The music video is really well shot. The overlapping of the scenes and visuals gives it a dreamy feel.

This will get the holiday shutdown this year. I was wrong. I thought it'd be a battle between Thomas Rhett and Luke Combs. I did predict that this would be a big hit and get multiple weeks at #1 similar to "Small Town Boy," however.
Anyway, the next few weeks are pretty much already set in stone. Old Dominion gets the #1 on both charts for two weeks. Thomas gets the #1 December 9th through December 16th. Valory lets Thomas go after only one week to play nice with label mate Lady Antebellum. Lady A maxes the week before Christmas and snags a Mediabase-only #1 (likely peaking at #2 or #3 on Billboard), with Dustin taking the Billboard #1 that week and remaining at the top of the charts through the holidays.
It's gonna be a very Dustin Christmas, y'all! Jingle Bells and Ridin' Roads! Aren't you excited?!
(The good news if you don't like this song is that you'll have all the Christmas music to listen to instead while it's getting its weeks in max rotation.)

This entered the top 5 this week on Billboard Country Airplay. I think it will be the last #1 of the calendar year.

This is actually much better than his past few singles. I'm so sick of "Small Town Boy." If this can finally replace that in the recurrent airplay rotations, that's an improvement. I'm fine with this. It's pleasant enough. It deserves to spend a few weeks at #1. And it's way better than the competition. Natural selection.

There is a âPower Upâ ad for this one in tonightâs Country Aircheck and there is also a Power Up ad for âHeartache Medicationâ. Thomas should get #1 easily before Dustin or Jon hit the top Christmas week.

There is a âPower Upâ ad for this one in tonightâs Country Aircheck and there is also a Power Up ad for âHeartache Medicationâ. Thomas should get #1 easily before Dustin or Jon hit the top Christmas week. Lady A will probably hit the top next week. They can pretty easily get a Billboard #1, too. Then, Dustin will take over for the holiday shutdown. Jon is looking likely to wait around in the top 5 through the holidays and hit #1 in mid-January. Luke, Thomas and Old Dominion are all likely to hang around in the top 5 throughout the holidays. All three records were huge and none is burning fast at all. In fact, Lady A's "What If I Never Get Over You" is also looking like a solid hit in its own right. None of the recent or future #1s will be burning very quickly at all. That's unfortunate for the songs just entering the top 10 and on the cusp of joining the top tier. Kenny Chesney's "Tip of My Tongue," Sam Hunt's "Kinfolks," Jason Aldean's, "We Back," and Jimmie Allen's "Make Me Want To" are all going to have to wait quite a while before they can get big heavy conversions. Some may not last the holidays. I'm inclined to think Kenny will settle for a top 5 peak and Jason will settle for a top 10 peak at the beginning of the new year, while Sam and Jimmie will hang around for another couple of months and climb pretty close to #1. But they'll all have to wait for Maren Morris' "The Bones," as that continues to be a monster hit that will pass them all by New Year's, most likely.

I donât know if you misread the chart, but Lady A is 15 million AI behind the current #1. It would be impossible for them to get the Mediabase #1 next week, let alone the Billboard #1. Theyâll have to wait until January most likely.

But my instinct is that Big Machine is maxing Thomas this week so they can push Lady A next week. Lady A can easily pull off 35 million next week. Old Dominion's at 38 million and falling. They'll be nowhere near that 35 million marker. Thomas is a label mate, he'll be no threat. Maybe Luke falls really slowly and gets the Billboard #1 that week. I can see that happening. In fact, Luke still has a chance of getting the holiday shutdown over Dustin. It's going to be close.

Alpha you are really overthinking this and no offense probably have a wrong read on the top of my chart. This upcoming week is 99% sure that "Remember You Young" will be the #1 this upcoming week than the following week "Ridin' Roads" for the holiday break while Lady Antebellum and Jon Pardi wait it out til the charts get back to moving in the early January, like there is no way Lady Antebellum is gonna hit #1 next week and is probably gonna hit #1 in early to mid January. Like testing and sales are fine for Lady Antebellum for them to hold on through the holidays.
Also given the losses Kenny Chesney has had this week compared to the competition I think "Tip Of My Tongue" is done and is missing the Top 5.

I could see that scenario, raylatch98 . Max Thomas this week to get him out the way, then let Dustin get to #1 as soon as possible. The thing is Lady A is already starting to have the big gains. Yeah, the numbers show a low burn rate and clearly they could wait this out, but right now it's looking like they're gearing up for a big push next week. We'll see what happens this week.
