Glad to hear that this is more of an extension of the first album than a change of direction. Made it about halfway through on the way to work and it sounds good so far. Was afraid we would get a straight up pop album.

Certainly a step below her gem of a debut record, but also better than I was expecting.
Favorite track, by a mile is “All My Favorite People”. Really hope that hits radio. I LOVE that song. “Song For Everything” is also an early favorite.

I agree, HERO is far superior but it would’ve been hard for her to match that one.

I'm happy that Maren didn't go too much further in the pop direction, and this is a solid album overall. My single picks would be: 2. All My Favorite People 3. A Song for Everything (Love that it mentions "Springsteen") 4. The Feels 5. To Hell and Back

Maren and busbee are a dream team! Besides The Bones, I wasn't the biggest fan of the Greg Kurstin work. A nice experimentation for her but it yielded an "alright" first single when she had much better to offer.

not a fan of this one on the 1st listen. that may change cause i love her voice. the only song i really enjoyed was the duet with Brothers Osbourne. that track was killer.

haven't listened to the entire album but I did not like what I heard at all unfortunately. Hopefully it grows on me but very disappointed. Only song I really liked was the duet with the Brothers Osborne (other than the 3 pre-release tracks)

Love this album! So far my favorites (outside of the title track -- which I also love) are "All My Favorite People," "A Song for Everything," "Gold Love," "Great Ones," and "Flavor." There isn't a bad song on the record, and it's incredibly tight and consistent just like Hero was. I'm also glad she kept the sound of this album in a similar wheelhouse to that one and didn't go too far in the pop direction. This is the perfect sound for her imo. Very strong record.
For singles, I definitely think "All My Favorite People" and "A Song for Everything" sound like surefire smashes and I'd go with those as the second/third releases. After that, she has a few options for what she could do fourth, such as "The Feels," "Flavor" (feels like a successor to "Rich"), or "The Bones." I hope she continues to do well at radio with this era.

Fantastic album! Even though I really like the title track, I'm almost sorry that they used a single slot on it. "All My Favorite People", "A Song For Everything", "The Feels" and "The Bones" are so strong. I hope that she continues to do well at radio, because she has certainly given them the material.

RSVP!!! I love her R&B leaning songs honestly. The only songs I'm not a big fan of are "There's a Song for Everything" and "Great One's". I think "Girl" was an important song for her to release and shine a spotlight on and I thoroughly enjoy it.

Surprised she didn't push further into pop, and that makes me happy!
After 4 listens here's how I'd rank things (Still probably gonna change as things grow on me)
01. To Hell & Back 02. The Bones 03. All My Favorite People 04. Good Woman 05. Great Ones 06. Common 07. Girl 08. RSVP 09. The Feels 10. Gold Love 11. A Song For Everything 12. Make Out With Me 13. Shade 14. Flavor
Nothing weak on here and nothing sounds like filler, a very strong sophomore! If "The Bones" isn't a single they're crazy!

I really am loving this album more and more everyday. I was really concerned after I heard “Common” and “GIRL” that she had experimented a bit too much. I really do like “GIRL” as it’s different, but it’s nice to have some familiarity too. I’m glad we still have that on this album. Top three:
1. Flavor (Guilty Pleasure, sorry) 2. All My Favorite People 3. The Bones
It’s funny because Greg and busbee were the two producers that I really wanted Shania to collaborate with on NOW before it was released. Good to know they both found space here and made a pretty solid record with Maren. Not a bad song on here.

I’m late to the GIRL party but I loved this album so much I had to get it on vinyl....so what is with the hate?! We’re cooking up our own flavor I guess.
