I like this. It’s a little below my expectations but there’s plenty of good material on here. Certainly a lot more country than his previous 2 records.
Standouts: Down To The Honkytonk (of course), Catch a Cold One, Grass Is Always Greener, Homemade, In It, Made For You, Mexico In Our Minds, Damn
Something To Ride To should’ve made the album over Senorita. Easy

I have to say this is a lot better than American Love. Homemade was probably the standout song to me but a solid album all in all.

Went to look for the physical CD but Big Loud must just be releasing it digitally like they do all their other albums.

Homemade is definitely the hit single on this album. Instant for me.
Jake has some quirky stuff on here...not my favorite album of his to be honest.

I think if the track list was edited down a bit, (with STRT added) it’d be a better album. Something like:
1. Down to the Honkytonk 2. Something To Ride To 3. Catch a Cold One 4. Made For You 5. That’s On Me 6. Grass Is Always Greener 7. Homemade 8. Drink All Day 9. In It 10. River Of Time 11. I Was Jack 12. Damn

I’m not blown away by this album but considering my expectation was low, I’m impressed

It’s one of his weaker albums IMO, but it’s still solid. “Homemade” needs to be a single at some point, great song. “Catch A Cold One” is another standout too.

After having more time to digest the album, I think “In It” is the best song actually. Hopefully that can be a single at some point, great song.

I’ve got Damn, Homemade, and Grass Is Always Greener on repeat. Not to mention Down To The Honkytonk was my most played song in 2018, and well on its way to repeating in 2019.

There’s a physical release. You can order it off his website store. Not as a standalone album though. Have to buy a bundle to get it. You can now order his CD alone without a bundle through his store for $10, and shipping rates apply.

I’m listening to this right now on shuffle so my rankings aren’t complete or the order of the album but here they are so far plus the singles:
1. Down to the Honkytonk 2. Ain’t Here To Talk 3. Drink All Day 4. I Was Jack (You Were Diane) 5. Catch a Cold One 6. Senorita
I like them all so far though

After about a month of digesting this album, which is fantastic from start to finish btw, these are how my rankings go....
1. Down to the Honkytonk 2. I was jack 3. Made for you 4. Thats on me 5. Homemade 6. Drink all day 7. Mexico in our minds 8. In it 9. Catch a cold one 10. River of time 11. Aint here to talk 12. Senorita 13. Damn 14. Grass is always greener (Only song i skip when i listen...and only song i would have put something to ride to in place of if it were up to me)
Again...a fantastic album. I Might even like it more than BFBJN.... not quite ready to 100% say but it just might over some more time
