It contains an interpolation from "We're Going to a Party" (1977) by Evelyn "Champagne" King. Written by Lucas Secon, Makeba Riddick, Joseph Freeman, Aubreya Gravatt, Theodore Life, Jr. and produced by Lucas Secon for Toni's sixth studio album Pulse (2010), it was released on February 23, 2010 as the album's third and final single.
All her sisters were featured in the video.

I didn't like it. The only song I liked from Pulse is "Hands Tied."

I loved this when it first came out. Now it's just okay to me.

A fun dance number. This is a cute lane for her. I wonder what a Toni braxton dance album would give.

I didn't like it. The only song I liked from Pulse is "Hands Tied." Pulse has loads of gems like “Hands Tied”, “Lookin’ at Me”, “Wardrobe”, “Hero”, “Stay” but it’s hard to blame anyone who likes “Hands Tied” more. These youngings would kill to have a song like that

I like it. It's really catchy.
I never realized just how many remixes there were, there are like five different remix EPs on Spotify. They must've really pushed it to the clubs.

This is a great song. I loved the Alexander & Mark VDH and Chris Malinchak remixes. Then newcomer Avicii remixed this too! I like it. It's really catchy. I never realized just how many remixes there were, there are like five different remix EPs on Spotify. They must've really pushed it to the clubs. They did commission a ton of mixes but it never ever charted on the Billboard Club Play charts. I don't think it was given proper promotion. Given Toni's history and success with Dance remixes of her material, and this being a Dance flavored song, it would have been super obvious to give even a little push. The song was quite good so it would have taken off.
