Someone in another thread suspected the impending announcement was for a new tour, but I really hope it is a new single. I've missed her. Even with the Pistol Annies project to hold me over, it still has felt like far too long since I got new solo music from Miranda Lambert. I am ready!

Love that the rotating lineup of openers she has scheduled for the upcoming tour are all female. Yessss! And she's coming to Wichita! I need to go so bad.

*sighs* happy it's an all female line up, but I am still internally annoyed with the whole either all female or all male tours this summer. I think besides Carly Pearce opening for Jason Aldean, I can't think of any tours this year that aren't either all male acts or all female acts.

I think besides Carly Pearce opening for Jason Aldean, I can't think of any tours this year that aren't either all male acts or all female acts. I don't see why anyone should be bothered by strong female artists like Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert using their position as some of the very few female country acts with major touring pull highlighting all the women who are routinely ignored by the genre because of sexism. Besides, if you're going to see Carrie or Miranda in concert, it's already confirmed you like females in country music, so it's probably better for them anyway. I'm sure a lot of the people at Aldean's shows will give 0 fucks about Carly Pearce's set. I think it's important for the bigger male acts to continue giving opening spots to female artists when they can, but the trend for all-female lineups for major tours is beautiful to see given the gender imbalance.

Besides, if you're going to see Carrie or Miranda in concert, it's already confirmed you like females in country music, so it's probably better for them anyway. I'm sure a lot of the people at Aldean's shows will give 0 f**ks about Carly Pearce's set. I think it's important for the bigger male acts to continue giving opening spots to female artists when they can, but the trend for all-female lineups for major tours is beautiful to see given the gender imbalance. I get where you're coming from. It's more of the all male tour that annoy me then the all female tour because I do think if an FGL or Luke Combs has a female opening act that is a great way to help promote more female acts to their fanbase. I just wish it was more of a mix up having say the Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood tours have a male opening act with a female as well, while the Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line tours have a female opening act with a male as well. I put more blame on the male headlining tours. It is why I love that both Dierks Bentley and Jason Aldean have both a male opening act and a female opening act, I feel like that's one of the best way for men to champion for women in country music. I guess I'm just odd in that I don't like going to a concert where it leads very heavily in one gender either way. I like it more when it's mixed up myself and a balance of both across the board. But that's just me and the way my mind works. But it is what it is. I am annoyed with it, but it won't matter too much overall.

I am in agreement with many of the comments above, but I am continually bothered by (IF there's a woman on a man's headliner tour) that they almost always are the first of three acts. I understand that it depends who else is on the tour, (Luke Combs should not play before Carly Pearce), but Carly Pearce and Lauren Alaina are incessantly the first of three acts when they are big enough to warrant the direct support position.

Sorry Ray, I missed that. Yes, Caylee is joining the tour for the last weekend, and she is playing Dierks's Seven Peaks Festival too. (As are Deana Carter, Maren Morris, and Tennille).

Lauren was literally just direct support on Blake’s tour. The all male tours definitely annoy me though, as does eric’s no opener tour

so my city is one of the cities that this tour is coming to, but i am seriously sad about it because Maren Morris, while is a part of the tour, is only doing a certain number of them, and unfortunately one of the dates she is not scheduled to be at is in my city :( What annoys me more, is that she IS going to be at the stop prior. But i would have to travel 230+ miles and get a hotel and spend all that extra $ just to see her(don't really care to see any of the others on this bill). So... i guess i'll just sit this one out.

I will wait till I hear the studio version, but right now this is a no for me. I liked Kerosene era, but the lyrics of this don't do much for me (has no story) and it just feels like a wall of noise for the sake of noise.

Then again this could be her attempt to pander to radio

That sounds like the worst single of her career. Hopefully she chose to perform it at CMA Fest because she felt it best suited the stadium atmosphere, and it’s not actually getting a radio release.

At the very least, this has way more energy to it than any of the singles from the WOTW era. Curious to see how the studio version will sound. We'll see, its been awhile since i've really cared for anything she has put out.

Very overdue for new solo Miranda Lambert.
Also I am very intrigued how radio responds to her new music. It's been almost 5 years since Miranda Lambert was in the Top 10 with one of her singles ("Something Bad") but she is a really well known name so I am gonna stay optimistic about this one's chances.

Miranda Lambert has been teasing the new album lately, saying to the Chicago Sun-Times in June, “I would call it old Miranda, but a Miranda at a whole new level, if that makes any sense. It’s not going to be love song overload or anything like that. [Laughs] I made a career on being a rock and roller and I think fans are going to hear that throughout. And yeah, there is this vibe of being happy that goes through this album. I am really, really happy.” Lambert also revealed that for the first time in her major label career, she’s working with a different producer. A long time collaborator with producer Frank Liddell, Miranda is now going with well-known mainstream country producer Jay Joyce on the upcoming record, due out in the fall.

It’ll be interesting to see how this does, as Miranda has gone nearly 4 years without releasing new music. It does appear that Blake got radio support in the divorce as her songs have failed to take off since they split. I would imagine that she would have a big first week, considering she’s one of the top 5 females in the format.

I'm really looking forward to this. I would have been anyway, but that title is really intriguing to me. I have high hopes that she can still turn out #1s with the right material.

Sound like some of the fun songs from Platinum, nothing groundbreaking but definitely an easy listen.
