I'm assuming some of those Zimmer tracks are probably featuring Beyonce. The producers from the film have stated that she has original music for the film so I doubt she's only on ONE song. I always that she would be the one to sing Circle of Life but I guess not? To be honest, I'm not too excited about this even being a proud and longtime member of the Hive. I just want Homecoming on vinyl and a new album TBH. I also wish they would have pushed Before I Let You Go as a single for the summer. Strange as they had great promo for it with the viral side but they didn't follow up with a proper video/release.

That picture looks like Beyoncé has a lion growing out of her head but I am SO excited for this movie and music to come out — one of my most anticipated projects in a while!

Beyoncé Produces And Performs On Multi-Artist Album "The Lion King: The Gift"
NEW OFFERING IS A MUSICAL INTERPRETATION OF DISNEY'S "THE LION KING" AND A LOVE LETTER TO AFRICA
ALBUM SLATED FOR RELEASE ON JULY 19
INCLUDES BRAND-NEW SONG, "SPIRIT," TO BE FEATURED IN THE BODY OF THE FILMBURBANK, Calif., July 9, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- 23-time Grammy® Award–winning global superstar Beyoncé is the executive producer of The Lion King: The Gift album, a musical ode to the classic story of Disney's "The Lion King" feature film. Directed by Jon Favreau, the film includes the new original song, "Spirit," performed by Beyoncé. The Lion King: The Gift album is set for release on July 19. The powerful track, "Spirit," appears in the film, during a pivotal scene with Beyoncé's character, Nala and appears on the Walt Disney Records original motion picture soundtrack and on The Lion King: The Gift album from Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records. The song, available globally later tonight, was written for the film by IIya Salmanzadeh, Timothy McKenzie and Beyoncé and is produced by Beyoncé and IIya and Labrinth. smarturl.it/beyoncespiritWith The Lion King: The Gift album, Beyoncé curated a masterful recording, a robust soundscape bringing together some of her favorite artists with the most talented and important African artists of the day to both pay tribute to the iconic film and bring the authentic sounds of African music to the world. "This is sonic cinema," said Beyoncé. "This is a new experience of storytelling. I wanted to do more than find a collection of songs that were inspired by the film. It is a mixture of genres and collaboration that isn't one sound. It is influenced by everything from R&B, pop, hip hop and Afro Beat." In planning and recording the album, the artists' personal connection to the iconic film and its story was highly considered. "I wanted to put everyone on their own journey to link the storyline," she continued. "Each song was written to reflect the film's storytelling that gives the listener a chance to imagine their own imagery, while listening to a new contemporary interpretation. It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Authenticity and heart were important to me." The Lion King: The Gift, with new recordings by Beyoncé, features a beautiful, multi-genre symphony, steeped in African influences from various corners of the Continent, with unexpected collaborations, pulsating rhythms and crisp production that celebrate the African diaspora. This love letter to Africa highlights the setting of the film, rooted in African culture and wondrous narratives. Track list and featured artists on The Lion King: The Gift are forthcoming. "The Lion King" original motion picture soundtrack is produced by Hans Zimmer and Jon Favreau. The digital soundtrack is set for release on July 11 at 8:00 a.m. Pacific. The physical album is now available for pre-order disneymusic.co/TheLionKingPreOrderHere's the link to the artwork for the "Spirit" release: sm01.box.com/v/BeyonceSpirit Photo credit: Kwaku Alston for Disney Studios BITCHHH Mariah is on it, I can feel it! ^I really hope so! I mean that random rumor about a choir and Mariah singing something that had to do with The Lion King can’t be coincidental.

Song is...aight. It's exactly what I expected. I'm more excited about The Gift project. I remember "4" was originally supposed to be a Afro-beat infused album (you can hear it on End of Time) but she scrapped it. Wonder if she'll dig up some music from that. TBH - I just want a new album.

Beyonce is perfect. The production is perfect but I found her vocals and song overall to be boring. Considering what it's intended for i get the execution and purpose but i honestly won't be listening to it again in full. 💤

No Mariah, no party.
Bye Beyoncé, it's been nice knowing ya! She's become so monotonous, always the same 4 people collaborating with her and I'm sick of it.
Wake me up when you release new and fresher material for a solo album.

I feel like they're trying to push this as the next Black Panther soundtrack and I know it's just going to majorly disappoint with that hype. Especially if "Spirit" is any indiciation as to what this is going to sound like.

I hope she does wins an oscar and a Grammy it will take the size of Wakanda to fit all her writers and it will be good to see all those other black faces thanked for her music finna Considering she's won 23 Grammys in her lifetime (the second most awarded female in Grammy history and the most nominated in Grammy history) pretty sure she'll take the stage alone when she wins her first Oscar and a few more Grammys :)

Especially if "Spirit" is any indiciation as to what this is going to sound like. I think these two are on different wavelengths, as I doubt Beyonce wanted to make a streaming juggernaut of a song. "Spirit" works really well with the movie in my opinion, a good mix of paying homage and modernizing it. "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" was a beautiful rendition, too (though I believe it's not on The Gift). This is definitely going to score big nominations throughout the next year.
