So...I completely forgot to do a "top ten preview" for this RD. I think this is the first one I haven't done in a long time. Since the top ten is already over, I'm not going to pretend it didn't happen. Instead, though, I'm going to do a short rundown of the particulars.
- First top ten for White Zombie
- Third top ten for Stone Temple Pilots, yet to finish above #9
- Second and third top tens for Nirvana, all in the same year
- Fourth top ten for Filter
- Fourth and fifth top tens for Pearl Jam, who have now made more top tens in 1995 than in any of the previous 20+ years of RDs
- Sixth top ten appearance for Soundgarden, finishes #1 after never previously making the top five
- Seventh top ten for Green Day, still looking for their first #1
- Ninth top ten for The Offspring, still looking for their second #1

10. Hey Man, Nice Shot - Filter
'Yup that's the one. I never liked this song nor this band for that matter. "Take a Picture" was decent enough. Anyway good news for some of you. They are coming out with new album right?
9. Unglued - Stone Temple Pilots
STP clicked all my buttons at just the right time. Another 90's Alt Rock classic in my book.
8. About a Girl - Nirvana
This band beating out STP again. Not happy about that. This isn't entirely horrid ,but still very simple sounding. I would have had to tank it for it to be lower, but this was way better than "Hey Man Nice Shot"
7. Corduroy - Pearl Jam
Another fairly decent Pearl Jam song, but these songs are never gonna be my crown songs. Not even on Alternative Rock.
6. Self-Esteem - The Offspring
Nice to a song we can all fairly agree on. I love that intro ,and guitar riff paired up with that yelling.
5. The Man Who Sold the World - Nirvana
I like this one. I charted this one. It doesn't sound sooooo Nirvana. Apparently I gave it the correct slot it deserves on an Active Rock YE RD.
4. More Human Than Human - White Zombie
Great song. I like this one about as much as his own Rob Zombie band.
3. Better Man - Pearl Jam
Not so band for Alternative Rock. It one of their better songs too.
2. When I Come Around - Green Day
This is actually funny. I love this all Green Day songs, the only Soundgarden song I even think could give it competition would be "Spoonman" Anyway, Green Day got robbed again.
1. The Day I Tried to Live - Soundgarden
Just a tad toooooooo mellow for me. I didn't even know this song was about depression. I thought it was about trying to F U C K depression?
'94' will be even tougher between these two bands. You got "Spoonman" and Green Day's best offerings ever. Than you have STP that could take it all home? I kinda hope either Green Day or STP finally win one of these. Alt or Active.
