Good. I've heard this a few times on the Highway and really enjoy it. Definitely sounds like a strong hit.

This is a lot better choice than “Drink All Day”. 3 for 3 on single choices from the new album. Now I hope they close the era with “Made For You”.

This is a wise choice for the 3rd single. It’s very radio friendly and has a catchy chorus. Also extremely relatable, and I think it will connect well with listeners. One of my favorite songs on the album.

Absolutely killing it with single choices this era. After my first listen of the album, this was the clear standout track. That catchy melody immediately grabs you and as already mentioned, very relatable lyrics. Never heard of any of the writers, but they wrote a damn good song. Looking forward to hearing this on the radio.

Great call here. As a previous poster said, hope they finish this album era with "Made For You". Bobby Pinson is one of my favorite writers and Drew Parker's demo is arguably better than Jake's cut. But great single choice and will be a summertime jam.

So glad this is the new single over drink all day. Not that drink all day is bad, but this is just so much better. I would love to believe this can reach #1, but if the equally excellent DTTH couldn't do it, i won't get my hopes up with this. I do expect at the very least another top 10 though. Would love to see jake start getting the recognition he deserves, he is super underrated. Maybe he can land a much deserved performance spot at the CMT's next month.

I like the melody..... this is much stronger than most of his recent singles. He isn't doing that drunk talk/singing thing. Melodically this is super strong.

This is really great, and a fresh hook. I'm shocked I've never heard another song with that play on words.

Most added song with 47 adds. I am impressed since this was up against lead Jon Pardi single and the second single from Brett Young's latest album.
I am so glad that Jake Owen made the change in labels because it seems like Big Loud has really struck gold with Jake Owen and I imagine he will be a consistent radio hit maker for a while now.
Honestly some of the single choices Sony made for Jake Owen were just confusing imo. I never got why they released songs like "Days of Gold", "Real Life" "If He Ain't Gonna Love You", and "Good Company" never sounded like hit songs in any capacity.

I do agree the change in labels was a good move and that the single selection was iffy while with Sony but I did love "If He Ain't Gonna Love You" lol

Jake’s past two singles might be the best back-to-back melodies he’s ever released to radio (“Down To The Honkytonk”). “Homemade” has a strong melody and I agree the play on words is clever. I didn’t even notice the “home made me” and “homemade” usage the first time I heard it. Thought it was just using the one word “homemade” every time lol.
Jake need something different for him. This isn’t out of his wheelhouse but he’s released plenty of songs like “Drink All Day” to radio the last few years and releasing a mid-tempo like “Homemade” will benefit him.

"Made For You" is #7 on iTunes, #3 on country behind "God's Country" and "Shut Up About Politics".

I'm curious if at one point if "Made For You" wasn't planned to be this single. Seems too coincidental that The Bachelorette performance timed up perfectly with the adds date for this single. Obviously, The Bachelorette was filmed well in advance (before Greetings From Jake was released), but "Homemade" was more than likely already recorded and in theory could've been performed instead of "Made For You". I'm sure The Bachelorette makes everyone in the crowd sign NDA's in reference to their show, so you'd think if Big Loud was worried about "Homemade" leaking via that performance that they could've added their own NDA in the mix. These are the things I think about when watching that darn show. (I'm team Jed) Either way, good for Jake to get a nice exposure spot.

they would not have performed "Homemade" on the Bachelorette because it is not a love song. The lyrics say otherwise. That would make no sense. I could have seen them thinking, "Made For You," being the 2nd single like you said. But there is no way they would have performed, "Homemade," on that show. That would be so out of place.

But there is no way they would have performed, "Homemade," on that show. That would be so out of place. Billy Currington sang freakin' "Hey Girl" on the franchise. Other country performances on The Bachelor/Bachelorette include: Lanco with "Greatest Love Story", Chris Lane with "For Her", Eli Young Band with "Even If It Breaks Your Heart", Clay Walker with "She Won't Be Lonely Long" and "Like We Never Said Goodbye", Granger Smith with "Happens Like That" and Brett Young with "Here Tonight". "Homemade" fits just fine among those songs.

Made For You is now #2 on all-genre iTunes. This has to be his next single and his Die A Happy Man.

I absolutely love this. This and "Down to the Honkytonk" are some of the best singles of his entire career imo. Very happy with the music he's putting out right now. He's really on quite a roll since changing labels.
