Shocked she's moving on so fast, I think Still Learning could've been a cute single for her.

If Post were still putting out singles from his album, I would have loved to see Die For Me happen

Between her speech at Women's March and this, Halsey is climbing up my list of favorite pop girls quickly.

Mad late but god she really takes the cake for the improving over the years award I'm proud to be a fan since Badlands and to actually grow to like her as a person outside of her music too now Also the night where she was performing during a miscarriage was the performances she did for Vevo Lift live and she killed those performances, even stage diving during Is There Somewhere (which is an all time favorite from her for me)

It is a shame that this era wasn't huge. "You Should Be Sad" alone should've been a massive hit.

Halsey just isn’t connecting. Usually I’d say do some features, but that approach doesn’t seem to be working for her either.

"Nightmare" and "You Should Be Sad" are still iconic, imo.

The path her career has taken post-"Without Me" is still so confusing to me. She should be a bigger deal.

So she released a kind of deluxe album this Friday and no one noticed? Lol It was so quietly released. Very strange. Of course it was just the two bonus tracks that weren't previously available on streaming (one was a Target exclusive, the other a Japanese exclusive), "Be Kind," and a bunch of remixes/acoustic versions that were already available. And one of those bonus tracks isn't even 2 minutes long. They're total bops, though. Also, what exactly is the difference between "Graveyard (Acoustic)" and "Graveyard (Stripped)"?

"I'm Not Mad" is great. They really went in a lowkey route for this deluxe tho, I only saw the single tweet she did about it.

So she released a kind of deluxe album this Friday and no one noticed? Lol I think she just wanted to do something for her birthday or something so she slapped on Be Kind and Target/Japan exclusives, as well as remixes of the singles on the album and called it a day. the only promo I saw about it was her tweet, and I don't think she's selling physical copies of the deluxe either. a pointless release if you ask me.

Really digging "I'm Not Mad". She's got something super special this era, and I am absolutely here for it.

She was done dirty during this last era. I want to understand what's behind that. Did she get herself blacklisted somehow? Who did she/her team piss off? This reminds me slightly of Michelle Branch's public note about being tired of giving radio programmers blowjobs to get her music heard. Though, I feel like Halsey has always been MUCH more vocal than Michelle Branch ever was.

There was one proper single released from the album (well, as part of the album’s promo itself: You should be mad) and after that, nothing was pushed. Halsey has had an odd chart trajectory where she could go from completely flopping to have a massive radio hit, seemingly without any indication of which will happen. She could put out a song tomorrow that ends up charting until next summer and it wouldn’t make me blink twice. So it’s odd to me that there doesn’t seem to be more of a foundation for her music. She has the name recognition and she has a handful of major hits, but for some reason it still seems like each single released is a struggle.

The only thing I can think of is the issue she had with not being nominated for a Grammy....but I doubt that would affect radio plays (maybe future nominations). She opened with huge numbers and was doing well on radio in the initial weeks but things stalled.

Nightmare ruined her, she should've kept it to herself or released it as a gift to fans at a later date.

Without Me was easily one of the biggest songs of the year and decade #3 on the 2019 year end chart, #12 on the Decade end chart of 2010s, and the #1 song on Pop radio of 2019 It was completely robbed at the Grammys though, zero nominations across the board for her and the song Meanwhile every other big song around it got nominated in everything: Sunflower, Bad Guy, and Old Town Road Essentially she was completely absent in the nominations even in the Pop categories

Not saying it wasn't a huge hit, but "Without Me" being the 12th biggest hit of the decade is literal proof that year (and decade) end charts mean very little.
