No one knows when Rihanna is releasing. She confirmed via. IG that she’d be releasing in 2019. As of late, all signs point toward a summer release. Her ‘FENTY’ house launch commences next week - May 22nd - and even ‘The Dream’ confirmed via. ‘The Breakfast Club’ that the only reason why her current project is delayed is due to her “fashion house commitments” as well as her current vocal producer Kuk Harrell being in hospital due to a cancer diagnosis but he’s out now. She’s just announced that her annual ‘Diamond Ball’ is on again this year in September. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has music ready to be released now and them. Her fans are well aware of when she’s releasing, well most are.

Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber's 'I Don't Care' Headed for No. 2 Billboard Hot 100 Debut
News
By Gary Trust | May 15, 2019 2:02 PM EDT
The song could mark the third track in as many weeks blocked by "Old Town Road."
Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber's new single "I Don't Care" could launch at No. 2 on next week's Billboard Hot 100 (dated May 25).
The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming, radio airplay and digital sales data.
The track, released at midnight ET Friday, May 10, could arrive on the chart with more than 40 million in airplay audience, 30 million U.S. streams and 60,000 downloads sold in the week ending May 16, according to industry projections and building Nielsen Music data.
Meanwhile, Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road," featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, should score a seventh week at No. 1 on the Hot 100 with over 80 million U.S. streams, 80 million airplay audience impressions and 40,000 sold.
Sheeran is seeking his seventh Hot 100 top 10 and Bieber should add his 15th. While "Care" marks their first song co-billed as artists, Sheeran co-wrote two Bieber top 10s: "Love Yourself" (No. 1 for two weeks in February 2016) and Major Lazer's "Cold Water," featuring Bieber and MO (No. 2, August 2016).
Sheeran and Bieber also contributed vocals to Lil Dicky's recent No. 17 Hot 100 hit "Earth" (of course, channeling a koala bear and baboon, respectively).
If "Care" starts at No. 2 on the Hot 100, it would mark the third consecutive week in which a song surged to the runner-up spot below streaming monster "Road." On the latest chart, dated May 18, Shawn Mendes' "If I Can't Have You" bows at No. 2, a week after Taylor Swift's "Me!," featuring Brendon Urie, blasted 100-2 following its first full week of tracking.
The top 10 of the May 25-dated Hot 100 is scheduled to be revealed Monday (May 20), with all charts updating Tuesday (May 21) on Billboard.com.

I think the top 10 ship has sailed for Sweet but Psycho. Always painful to watch a song peak at #11. The DJ Khaled tracks live or die by the popularity of the featured act. For every "I'm The One" or "Wild Thoughts" there's a "Shining" or a "Top Off". Either way I don't see him debuting at #1. Rihanna was "surely" releasing in January too. Wouldn't be shocked if there's no new Rih music this year, even if she did say the album was gonna be released. ANTI suffered several delays too, remember? When was Rihanna ever supposed to release in January? Her PR team confirmed that album was “finished” around that time and the news/tabloid media/blogs all ran with it and assumed that’s when she’d be releasing.

With all these massive streaming numbers OTR has been pulling, how many times platinum should it be eligible for right now?

All these artists probably want to get albums out before Adele in Q4.

lol I wouldn't be surprised if OTR blocks Rihanna! Rih isn't releasing until August at the least, I don't think she was gonna release soon anyways but with the crowded market right now her label probably wants her to wait longer.

I'm fairly sure her team will stay silent until a single is released, so it won't be confirmed until something drops on Spotify on a random Friday. OTR might still have 80M streams but I feel like it might end up with a similar run to "In My Feelings" (10 weeks at #1 but started to freefall like a meme song after that).

By this time in it's run In My Feelings already had a music video but Columbia were smart enough not to release one for OTR until this Friday because it will extend its run. I also see OTR going higher on radio than IMF, cuz it has better call out scores but also it just appeals to a wider audience. My mom was singing the chorus to OTR, when it gets to old people you know it's the real deal.

Sure! But I'm guessing the video might could be pretty frontloaded. At one point or another the audience will get burned on it. (And the big summer releases should start popping up now too).
Or maybe it'll break the record and get 17 weeks at #1... hopefully not LOL.

So, Me! could be #9 as there are only 3 points away and Bad guy could be #3, really interesting.

DWAS rising back up while Shawn freefalls would be a kii but I see that unlikely considering Shawn’s song still doing well on Spotify and ITunes

Is Bad Guy getting bad callout scores? I don’t know why radio is so slow here.

Those predictions look a bit off to me. Could be wrong, but I don't think Mendes and Swift will fall as far, and I don't think Eilish will be Top 5.

Is Bad Guy getting bad callout scores? I don’t know why radio is so slow here. bad guy wasn't pushed to radio until a few weeks ago. It actually started taking off on radio all on its own. Don't forget, Billie has never had a radio hit before. Prior to bad guy, she had only ever hit radio charts three times: you should see me in a crown went top 10 on alternative radio, bury a friend had just got to the top 30 on alternative, and when the party's over had just gotten into the top 40 on pop. She actually has two songs climbing simultaneously on two formats right now. bury a friend and bad guy are both climbing on alternative while when the party's over and bad guy are climbing on pop. when the party's over just entered the top 50 on hot AC as well. Prior to bad guy being a big streaming hit, she's practically never been on radio before. Now she has three songs gaining in airplay. It's an unprecedented situation.

Bad Guys not getting radio play because it’s grating to the ears. Other than that I’m not sure why it’s not.

If you look at its points last week, you would've thought that it debuted at #5 or #6 (it's not much stronger than Lucky You, for example), so falling out of top 10 is not surprising.

Yeah, but none of them are even in the top 50 yet. I think the unprecedented part is that we have a song that has consistently been in the top 10 (if not top 5) of all the streaming services and sales for weeks now and it still hasn't even made it to the Radio Songs chart. Yes, Billie is a newer artist, but considering "Bad Guy" in particular could easily be classified as "pop," it seems really odd that radio hasn't jumped all over this faster. Looking at Kworb, there are only 3 songs on the radio list that are in the top 10 of iTunes, Apple Music, and Spotify -- Old Town Road (#4 radio), I Don't Care (#13 radio), and Bad Guy (#75 radio). Clearly Bad Guy is a weird outlier here. Mostly I'm saying: radio is being stupid to not pick up on this faster.

Just listened to bad guy for the first time; I can see why radio wouldn't play it. It's very....weird.
