Curious as to their strategy with the venues for this tour. She last played Barclays Center when she was in NYC in 2018 and it was completely sold out (15,249/15,249). For this tour they're at The Beacon which has a capacity of 2,394. Wondering if it's because they want a more intimate experience or the team was worried that she wouldn't be able to pull in numbers?
Of the seats that are available to the general public (not re-sale or a locked offer), there's only about 26 left so that's definitely going to be a sold out event. Other dates are not looking so hot, though. Portland has quite a way to go and even the LA date has thousands of tickets left. I'm sure there will be some promo ramping up to the release so that should hopefully help.

Reverted back to “she/her” pronouns.

Her instagram profile says they/them/she/her so apparently she just added she/her and didn't drop the they/them.

I don't think it's messy to be unsure of your gender and alter your preferred pronouns as you continue learning about yourself.
I mean, she is definitely still messy, but this isn't one of the reasons. Girl gets angry at diet soda and calling extraterrestrial aliens, her pronouns should be the least of anyone's concerns.

This album is gonna flop so hard if the most high-profile promo Demi's getting is another roundtable discussion on pronouns hosted by Fox news.

I mean, I recall someone saying here that she was probably going to revert back in a matter of months... well they were right lol.
She has a likability problem. If this was someone more dear to the public no one would bat an eye at the pronoun thing. But Demi has annoyed people for too long now. And the new music is not good enough to offset the bad press, not to mention it has barely made any impact commercially.
Scooter needs to do better with Demi. Where's the same hustle he uses for Ariana and Justin? I know Demi ain't on the same level of impact but she's not even charting on the Hot 100 at all.

I don't understand why anyone cares about the pronouns -- it's her personal business.
The problem with her is that she only makes headlines for her pronouns, and never for her music. Her music career as a current artist is likely over.

Re: Pronouns
The headlines about this have been pure misinformation. She was asked a question about it in an interview, and the answer was thoroughly misconstrued. She merely confirmed what her IG profile has stated for some time now. She's adopted she/her pronouns IN ADDITION TO they/them.
But yes, her problem from a career standpoint is that there's zero public goodwill at the moment. And any headline she makes is going to be slanted toward the negative. She's going to have to quietly grind it out, please her core fanbase, keep busy with other endeavors, and hope that it can sustain her for a while.
Notice how no one gave a fuck about Kesha's announced alien show, but went ripshit regarding Demi's.

Because Kesha seemed more genuine? And this is just another thing to add to Demi’s ‘almost (?)’ attention-grabbing behaviour? I agree with, she’s just going to have to grind it out, and do her.
The only issue I have with the pronouns, is that’s the only news she seems to make. She’s becoming infamous for it, while diluting everything else. Do you, but you certainly don’t need to update the public with every discussion you make.
Acting would be in her best interest imo. Music isn’t going to be the same for her if she’s not going to release the bops. And you can’t tell me half the stuff she’s released as of late deserved to be smashes. I loved her first record, but slowly lost interest over time.

Don't want to hijack the Demi thread but what's the current norm for people with she/they pronouns?
I've been getting conflicting instructions on this. Some told me with this combination "they" is always the preferred option, while others told me there's usually no particular preference.

I would go with “they,” to be safe.
I read something about she’s using she/her lately, because she’s feeling more feminine; isn’t that the reason you identify as gender fluid and go by they in the first place, because there’s two sides of you? So ‘they’ would still apply if you feel more feminine or masculine lately. That’s my only confusion about it with regards to her comment.

This may be a bit controversial, so I want to make sure I don't get misconstrued here. But, how can anyone expect pronouns to be widely accepted and understood by the general population when individuals who are requesting to be called certain pronouns do not seem to understand the pronouns (meaning Demi).

I loved her first record, but slowly lost interest over time. To your first point, as someone who stanned both Demi and Kesha from 2009-13, I know that each have always mentioned their belief in the alien stuff. So, again. This is just people having made their minds up about Demi. There's plenty of valid examples of Demi being messy, doing shitty things, and even being an attention seeker. The argument that she's doing that with the alien stuff is BS. And, again, she was asked point blank a question regarding her pronouns and gender identity in an interview. She didn't proactively put out a press release with this news. The same when she just simply changed her IG pronouns and media sources picked it up. I'm not sure what you expect of her in regard to just about anything.

This is the most interested I've been in a Demi album, the 3 tracks she's released so far are all good! Her voice really suits the pop/punk vibe she's going for with the album. Reminds me a bit of Hayley Williams of Paramore at times.

So where are we predicting this will land, sales-wise - somewhere between The Spirit Indestructible and Traumazine? Given that the lead single has only 12M streams, I am expecting closer to the former.

I'd say 30k. With a sizable share from physicals. Week 2 it drops into oblivion.

Listened to a handful of tracks, not something I will keep returning to but her voice sounds as strong as ever.
