I don’t know how this will end up faring in the end on the charts but if this ends up hitting the top 10, Trisha would be the 90th artist in history with 20 top 10’s. Let's list those Trisha Yearwood top tens. Ready? 1. She's In Love With The Boy-1991-#1 2. Like We Never Had A Broken Heart-1991-#4 3. That's What I Like About You-1992-#8 4. The Woman Before Me-1992-#4 5. Wrong Side Of Memphis-1992-#5 6. Walkaway Joe-with Don Henley-1993-#2 7. The Song Remembers When-1993-#2 8. XXX's And OOO's An American Girl-1994-#1 9. Thinkin' About You-1995-#1 10. I Wanna Go To Far-1995-#9 11. Believe Me Baby I Lied-1996-#1 12. Everybody Knows-1997-#3 13. How Do I Live-1997-#2 14. In Another's Eyes-with Garth Brooks-1997-#2-her biggest #2 hit 15. A Perfect Love-1998-#1-chart wise, her biggest hit 16. There Goes My Baby-1998-#2 17. Powerful Thing-1999-#6 18. I'll Still Love You More-1999-#10 19. I Would've Loved You Anyway-2001-#4

The funny thing is I haven’t even listened to the new single yet at all. My next question would be with Garth releasing a new single in the upcoming weeks and this potentially maybe returning to the top 40. When was the last time Garth and Trisha we’re both in the top 40?

What about FOUR entries between Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks? It happened on May 3, 2008 when Yearwood was at #19 with Josh Turner with Another Try. She had her solo hit, This Is Me You're Talking To at #26. Brooks was at #38 with Midnight Sun while his duet with Huey Lewis, Workin' For A Livin' just entered the top 40 at #40. There.

"Every Girl In This Town" is the most added song on Mediabase with 80 first week adds. The only other female song released this year that scored more adds out of the gate was "Girl" by Maren Morris. Looks like country radio was pretty excited for Trisha Yearwood to return and this looks to be off to a great start if you ask me. That's great! Go Trisha!

Debuted at #21 according to the ad in Country Aircheck (strangely, the chart positions on Billboard's website haven't been updated yet).

MY GOODNESS. #21? That’s way higher than I expected and I’m so thrilled for her.

Wouldn’t surprise if that’s the peak but that’s still way higher than I thought she’d get. I thought she’d get what Sheryl Crow is getting tbh. Guess Garth’s team can help her a lot, Hope they got the muscle to keep it alive for a bit.

What is definitely helping Trisha Yearwood is the fact that it is a weak Top 30, more specifically Top 20. The song that will probably be at #20 in "Buy My Own Drinks" by Runaway June I have just barely over 10 million in Billboard audience.

History tells me that there's a good chance that the inflated debut will wind up being her peak (as Kanenrá:ke said above) even if this one hangs around on the chart for a long time, but still a #21 peak for a Trisha Yearwood single is like 20-30 positions higher than I would've expected new music from her to land. That is just awesome to see her that high on the chart! The silver lining here is that this one did pull in a really impressive amount of first-week adds, so it seems like radio is actually a bit excited about this release, which makes me happy. Even if it doesn't eventually crack the top 20, I can see it spending awhile on the charts at least which will be good prolonged exposure for her new album whenever that drops.

The #21 debut is amazing. Absolutely thrilled for Ms. Yearwood. Even if it ends up being her peak (which is certainly a possibility), it’s still a huge accomplishment for her at this point in her career.

I have nothing against Trisha, Sheryl or any other artist getting these iHeartRadio premieres but I have to say I miss the way the charts were back in the 90’s. We didn’t have very many high debuts at all but the only draw back was songs didn’t go recurrent after falling out of the top 10. If we used that rule and didn’t have iHeartRadio premieres this or Sheryl wouldn’t have debuted so high. Probably wouldn’t have debuted on the chart at all. Also Ryan Hurd would’ve gotten his first top 40 hit if these both hadn’t debuted.

One week isn't gonna make it impossible for him to get into the Top 40. Like Ryan Hurd has his whole career ahead of him with country radio so I am failing to see why it is so bad that he missed the Top 40 by a couple of weeks when country radio decided to have 2 female iHeartMedia debuts. I also think it is great they debuted this high, because more than likely 1 or both of Trisha and Sheryl iHeartMedia debut would've been the peak. I find it great that even for 1 week we have Trisha Yearwood in the Top 25 on Billboard and Sheryl Crow with Stevie Nicks & Maren Morris in the Top 40. I don't know, I just find it odd to complain when it is two female songs getting the iHeartMedia treatment. But that's just me.

I’m happy Trisha and Sheryl both debuted that high. It’s great seeing female artists in the top 40 especially since country music is so male dominated anymore.

Driving home from the airport on Sunday evening, this came on the radio. I'll admit, I've never been a huge Trisha fan. 'Heaven, Heartache' was brilliant but prior to that it was very hit or miss. This song is a smash and it is SO refreshing to hear a classic female voice get quality radio time.

Worried about where she will drop to tomorrow. She's out of the Mediabase tracking range. The adds are promising though.

Great video! Simple, but she captured the essence of the song really well. I'm glad that the song seems to be having some staying power. It's far exceeding what I would have hoped that a Trisha Yearwood single would do at country radio in 2019.

I went on a camping trip with some friends last weekend and the guy I was riding with had a country playlist on. He says "There are some new country females that I'm really liking", as this song was playing. I was like "You know she's not new right?". He couldn't believe it! LOL I gave him a hard time, but he is 23 years old, so I guess I get it.
Point of the story though, this song is connecting with people that hear it!

I’m thoroughly surprised that Trisha is still chugging along on the chart at a decent pace. Months ago, when both this and “Prove You Wrong” were given hourly deals, I thought it was a given that Sheryl would do better because Maren Morris was on the track and she has had more recent country radio success that Trisha. I’m glad that country radio proved me wrong (haha), for once.

This has exceeded every expectation that I had for it.

I hope not, but I'm wondering if the end is near for this one. She got a grace week on Billboard last week, and is currently sitting without a bullet on Mediabase. Unless she gets it back tomorrow, it'll be her second week in a row there without one. It has been treading water for awhile, so I guess it wouldn't really surprise me if that was the case.
On the plus side, this far exceeded my expectations at radio, but I would love it to do even more.

Pleasantly surprised that this stayed on the charts this week. She's currently back in Mediabase's top 30 with a bullet. I hope that continues.

This is probably fine on Billboard, but has had two weeks in a row of (very small) losses on Mediabase. It'll be interesting to see what happens tomorrow. It usually works the other way around, when a song in the teens or 20s loses its bullet and goes recurrent on Billboard. I can't remember a case when it happens this way.
Hopefully Trisha will rebullet and it won't matter, but the situation is interesting anyway.

This song is still in the top 30 on mediabase and it's been there forever. It loses it's bullet on one day and then gets it back the next day but it's not moving anywhere.
I know that the next single won't be as successful as this one but I still think it's time to move on (maybe after a holidays).
I hope she release What Gave Me Away as a next single - it's a good song and also sounds like something radio might play.
