if he had 4 then yes but I only remember the 2 songs. No. I meant overall. You're correct when you say Michael Johnson only had two chart topping hits. The thing I always wondered about him is why did RCA repeat The Moon Is Still Over Her Shoulder on the That's That album. It was originally on the Wings album. Yes as of right now I’m missing 4 overall. The 2 Michael Johnson tunes, the SKO one and Jim Glaser one. I need to finish going through and and looking at the rest of the 80’s #1’s to see if I’m missing anything else. I did however notice the 2 Michael Johnson hits are available on iTunes on a compilation album called Then & Now. Do you know are they re-recorded versions on that album or the original versions?

Yes. That was released on the Intersound label during the 1990s. Decent rerecordings, but not the originals. I would get those on The Best Of Michael Johnson on RCA Records. That CD has a song called Life's A Bitch And Then You Die (were you in a good mood when you recorded that, Johnson?). Another hits compilation, The Very Best Of Michael Johnson is on Razor And Tie. That one combines his pop hits of the late 1970s with his country hits. It even includes I Love You By Heart, his duet with Sylvia that became his first top ten country hit (#9 in 1986). That is absent on the RCA disc.

Here's an update:
1. Added I Don't Know A Thing About Love The Moon Song, The Legend And The Man, and You'll Never Know How Much I Needed You Today to complete my Conway Twitty Number Ones And More album. 2. Added Think About Love, Tie Our Love In A Double Knot, Don't Call It Love, I Will Always Love You with Vince Gill, and Yellow Roses to add to The Essential Dolly Parton. 3. Added We Believe In Happy Endings with Emmylou Harris and Shadow Of A Doubt to complete The Essential Earl Thomas Conley. 4. Added I Wanna Hear It From You, I Could Use Another You, Sooner Or Later, In A Letter To You, Bayou Boys, and Island to add to my Eddy Raven. 5. Greatest Hits and Super Hits by Exile. To complete those, I added High Cost Of Leaving and She's Too Good To Be True. 6. John Anderson Essential. This is similar to Conway Twitty's Number Ones And More. This one was released by Warner Music/X5 Music. The X5 specializes in digital music. This one is a combination of Anderson's two Warner Bros. greatest hits CDs. His version of The Fightin' Side Of Me is here. To complete it, I added You Can't Keep A Good Memory Down and Goin' Down Hill. I also added Greatest Hits from BNA and Paradise from Super Hits. 7. I added Buried Treasure to complete Kenny Rogers' Greatest Country Hits, Volume 2 album. Again, Islands In The Stream is available on my Dolly Parton Essential album. 8. Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's Fishin' In The Dark: The Best Of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. This is a combination of their two Warner Bros. hits packages. I added Uncle Charlie And His Dog Teddy. Twenty Years Of Dirt kicks off with it before delving into Mr. Bojangles. 9. Added Point Of Light, I'd Surrender All, Hard Rock Bottom Of Your Heart, If I Didn't Have You, and Cowboy Boogie to complete I Told You So The Ultimate Hits Of Randy Travis. I'm still missing An Old Pair Of Shoes which is not available on mp3. 10. Ricky Van Shelton's 16 Biggest Hits. I added from Greatest Hits Plus: Just As I Am, Rockin' Years with Dolly Parton, and Wear My Ring Around Your Neck. Added from Super Hits, Volume 2: After The Lights Go Out and Wild-Eyed Dream. 11. Added Snap Your Fingers, Button Off My Shirt, Old Folks with Mike Reid, In No Time At All, Prisoner Of The Highway, Houston Solution, and Don't You Know How Much I Love You to complete The Essential Ronnie Milsap. 12. Southern Pacific's Greatest Hits. To complete it, I added: Memphis Queen, Reckless Heart, Killbilly Hill, Don't Let Go Of My Heart, and Someone's Gonna Love Me Tonight.
There. I will be adding more in the next two weeks.

I remember Country Again was one of the albums but don't recall the other. An Old Pair Of Shoes by Randy Travis I have as well as I have both volumes of his Greatest Hits on CD. Without looking on my iTunes library I believe it was on Volume 1. I just bought Southern Pacific's County Line album on CD for $1 at an antique mall a few months ago. By the way what was their biggest hit? The only song I faintly remember of theirs was Any Way The Wind Blows. Nice pickups as well!

For CoJoFan (and anyone else who is interested): Per our recent conversation about Juice Newton, I have decided to recreate the Anthology album (seeing since it is not available as an mp3). Before I get into that, here is some background on the CD. It was released in 1998 on the Renaissance label. It is the ONLY Newton hits package to contain hits from both labels that she was signed to: Capitol and RCA. It is by far the most definitive CD of her hits, even though it leaves a few behind. Here is the track listing for Anthology (did you get that one on CD yet?). Ready? 1. Angel Of The Morning-1981-#22 2. Queen Of Hearts-1981-#14 3. Love's Been A Little Bit Hard On Me-1982-#30 4. Break It To Me Gently-1982-#2 5. Heart Of The Night-1982-#53 6. The Sweetest Thing I've Ever Known-1982-#1 7. Love Is A Word-1976-#88 8. Can't Wait All Night-1984-did not chart 9. A Little Love-1984-#64 10. You Make Me Want To Make You Mine-1985-#1 11. Hurt-1986-#1 12. Old Flame-1986-#5 13. Cheap Love-1986-#9 14. What Can I Do With My Heart-1987-#9 15. Both To Each Other Friends And Lovers-with Eddie Rabbitt-1986-#1 16. First Time Caller-1987-#24 17. Tell Me True-1988-#8 18. When Love Comes Around The Bend-1989-#40 19. Easy Way Out-1984-did not chart Now, for the songs and albums I cherry picked from: 1. Angel Of The Morning, Queen Of Hearts, Love's Been A Little Bit Hard On Me, Break It To Me Gently, Heart Of The Night, and The Sweetest Thing I've Ever Known from Greatest Hits And More, the album you downloaded. The Anthology version of The Sweetest Thing was taken from the Juice Newton And Silver Spur album, which is more acoustic. The version I took is more poppy. 2. Love Is A Word from Juice Newton And Silver Spur. 3. Can't Wait All Night, A Little Love, and Easy Way Out from Can't Wait All Night. 4. You Make Me Want To Make You Mine, Hurt, Old Flame, Cheap Love, What Can I Do With My Heart, and Both To Each Other Friends And Lovers from Old Flame. 5. First Time Caller and Tell Me True from Emotion. 6. When Love Comes Around The Bend from Queen Of Hearts The Best Of Juice Newton. Unfortunately, the parent album, Ain't Gonna Cry is NOT available as an mp3. This is a rerecorded version. With that in mind, here is the amended version of Anthology. Amazon keeps the albums in alphabetical order and preserves the track listing of EACH album. Ready? 1. A Little Love 2. Can't Wait All Night 3. Easy Way Out 4. First Time Caller 5. Tell Me True 6. Angel Of The Morning 7. Heart Of The Night 8. Love's Been A Little Bit Hard On Me 9. Break It To Me Gently 10. The Sweetest Thing I've Ever Known 11. Queen Of Hearts 12. Cheap Love 13. You Make Me Want To Make You Mine 14. Hurt 15. Old Flame 16. What Can I Do With My Heart 17. Both To Each Other Friends And Lovers-with Eddie Rabbitt 18. When Love Comes Around The Bend 19. Love Is A Word Amazon is treating Juice Newton and Silver Spur as a separate artist from Juice Newton, so I put Love Is A Word last. I hope this was extremely helpful!

I don't understand this thread. If you were to take a look at the opening post, I am asking what country songs or albums you have downloaded on your electronic devices.

Yeah, I would have to list like 2000+ songs and I think most people in 2019 are similar. Just basically seems like a, “what music have you purchased?”

An update:
1. Music and Just In Case to complete Exile's Epic hits. I subtracted Super Love from Greatest Hits as it is repeated on Super Hits. The GH version is 2.75 minutes long while the SH version is four minutes long. I subtracted Woke Up In Love from Super Hits as it is repeated on Greatest Hits. Kept the two Kiss You All Overs.
2. Added Sweet Life with Paul Davis and Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, two tracks from Dancing With The Best Of Marie Osmond that is not on The Best Of Marie Osmond. I added the lead single to There's No Stopping Your Heart, Until I Fall In Love Again and the final single from I Only Wanted You, Cry Just A Little.
3. Greatest Hits by Restless Heart. To complete it, I took from RCA Country Legends: I Want Everyone To Cry, 'til I Loved You, Wheels, Say What's In Your Heart, We Got The Love, You Can Depend On Me, and Mending Fences. I added When Somebody Loves You from Fast Movin' Train. Familiar Pain from The Best Of Restless Heart is not available on mp3. I'm on the fence whether to add Feel My Way To You from Still Restless.
That is it for now.

An update:
1. Added Anthology by Charly McClain. 2. Added Anthology by Sylvia. 3. Added The Essential Janie Frickie. 4. Added Greatest Hits: Songs From An Aging Sex Bomb by K.T. Oslin (still love the title of that one). To complete it, I took Wall Of Tears from 80s Ladies, Money, Didn't Expect It To Go Down This Way, and Mary And Willie from RCA Country Legends.

I think K.T. is one of the most underrated female country artists ever. I still remember one of her music videos vividly from my childhood. It was a Halloween themed music video but don’t recall the song it was for. Thinking maybe it was either “Hey Bobby” or “Mary And Willie”?

onebuffalo To answer your question from a few posts back that I just now seen, no I haven’t ordered Juice Newton yet. Also another question I have is about Ed Bruce’s only #1, You’re The Best Break This Old Heart Ever Had. I have the digital version of this song from an album called This Old Hat. Is it a re-recorded version or the actual recording?

Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys 2. Diane 3. The Last Cowboy Song 4. Girls, Women & Ladies 5. Evil Angel 6. (When You Fall In Love) Everything's A Waltz 7. You're The Best Break This Old Heart Ever Had 8. Love's Found You And Me 9. Ever, Never Lovin' You 10. My First Taste Of Texas 11. Theme From 'Bret Maverick' 12. You're Not Leavin' Here Tonight 13. If It Was Easy 14. After All 15. Tell 'Em I've Gone Crazy 16. You Turn Me On (Like A Radio) 17. When Giving Up Was Easy 18. Nights I hope that was helpful!

onebuffalo I just purchased Don Gibson’s RCA Country Legends CD. I know there’s other artists that have these collections but my question is are these re-recorded songs or the originals on these collections. I’m interested in getting a couple others I’ve seen before but wanted to ask before I pulled the trigger on them.

I've recently been downloading Columbia's Essential albums, well the ones I already don't own on CD. These are the few I've downloaded.
The Essential Earl Thomas Conley The Essential Rosanne Cash The Essential Ricky Skaggs (Sadly this is missing my favorite song of his "Cat's In The Cradle")

onebuffalo I feel like I've asked this before but on what album could I download a good version of Janie Fricke's "Always Have Always Will" and "On My Knees". Thanks as always. An update: 1. If you want the complete Janie Frickie, that's the one to get. Downloading the Essential Janie Fricke as I write this. One more question I'm looking for a good Loretta Lynn compilation, particularly with all her solo #1's (I have the Conway duet #1's on my Conway Twitty Gold compilation) if there is one. Do you have any suggestions?

I'm getting very close to having all the artists #1 singles that have had 10 or more on the country charts. Just need a few of Eddy Arnold's and Sonny James', all of Webb Pierce's, Red Foley's and Loretta Lynn's. Red's may be hard to find.

I have a question: Are you collecting chart topping hits so you can say you have all of them or are you a fan of the artists? Just asking.
