I have a question: Are you collecting chart topping hits so you can say you have all of them or are you a fan of the artists? Just asking. Collecting chart topping hits. I'd love to have them all someday. If you do, I would love to see a picture of your collection. I'd be jealous!

onebuffalo Are there any other Essential album collections of country artists that I'm missing? I currently own all these Alabama, Alan Jackson, George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Ronnie Milsap, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Rosanne Cash, Rodney Crowell, Mickey Gilley, Janie Fricke, Jim Reeves, Tammy Wyneette, Brooks & Dunn, Earl Thomas Comley, Marty Robbins, Charley Pride, Eddy Arnold, Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, Ricky Skaggs, Ray Price, Porter Wagoner & Keith Whitley. I know that's quite a collection but I only own the physical versions of less than half of them and the rest I downloaded. Thanks!

It's not that I'm not a fan of Mickey Gilley, it's just that I don't care for his voice. He has some good songs and I did download The Essential Mickey Gilley so I'd have his #1's. I really wish there was an Essential Loretta Lynn. I own the Icon Loretta Lynn CD but not sure if they're all original recordings.

If you want more Loretta Lynn, check out the Gold two disc set or The Loretta Lynn Collection, the three CD set that was released around the same time as The Conway Twitty Collection.

onebuffalo Are the songs on The Very Best of John Michael Montgomery remastered like the ones on the Tracy Lawrence and Travis Tritt Very Best Of albums? I know them 2 are on Rhino but John Michael is on Warner I believe.

So far, I have not seen anything that would indicate that the songs on The Very Best would be remastered.

So far, I have not seen anything that would indicate that the songs on The Very Best would be remastered. I have never bought The Very Best Of John Michael Montgomery yet either because I have all the songs except the 2 new ones on CD already. I'm not sure if either of the new singles ever were released as singles and if so if they charted in the top 40. I bought Tracy's on CD so I could have Renegades, Rebels & Rogues and bought Travis' on CD for the cover of The Eagles Take It Easy. I've had them both since they came out or not longer after they did I think. Then when I got into collecting country CDs about 5 years ago I got the original versions of both songs on The Maverick soundtrack and Common Thread: The Songs Of The Eagles. John Michael, Tracy and Travis are hands down 3 of my favorite country artists from the 90's.

onebuffalo Are there any good Tanya Tucker or Kathy Mattea compilations? If you want the most comprehensive Tanya Tucker collection out there, it's called The Upper 48 Hits. It was released on the Raven label, meaning it's an import CD. I would get The Definitive Kathy Mattea. Here is a link for Tucker and a picture for Mattea: www.allmusic.com/album/the-upper-48-hits-1972-1997-mw0000226082

Downloaded The Very Best Of Dan Seals about a month ago. I remember loving Bop and Meet Me In Montana as a kid. Then as I got older got into his other well known hits such as One Friend, Everything That Glitters Is Not Gold, Big Wheels In The Moonlight, etc. Most recently though listening to this compilation one song I had never heard really moved me for some reason. The song I’m talking about is Addicted which coincidentally is one of his #1 hits. Don’t know why it moved me the way it did but I have listened to it at least 2-3 times daily the past few days. It’s sad Dan left us a few years ago but his music still holds a place in my heart and always will.

onebuffalo Sorry for the double question but is The Ultimate Collection: Michael Martin Murphey the original recordings? This album is nothing but original recordings: Awesome! I don’t know if this became available digitally but I’ve been searching for a good version of what I think are his only 2 #1 singles What’s Forever For and A Long Line Of Love. The latter is my favorite of the two.

This album is nothing but rerecorded hits. Just like the recently released 40 Years album: Is there a good compilation of his hits then that’s not re-recorded versions then? You're going to have to download this mp3 that I did from Amazon: Then, you're going to have to add You Can't Keep A Good Memory Down and Goin' Down Hill from Greatest Hits Volume II. Then, you're going to have to add this album: Lastly, I added Paradise from Super Hits. That should be about 95% of John Anderson's hits.

This one: How about Restless Heart? Not a single or double disc, but this is what I did to complete my collection: 3. Greatest Hits by Restless Heart. To complete it, I took from RCA Country Legends: I Want Everyone To Cry, 'til I Loved You, Wheels, Say What's In Your Heart, We Got The Love, You Can Depend On Me, and Mending Fences. I added When Somebody Loves You from Fast Movin' Train. Familiar Pain from The Best Of Restless Heart is not available on mp3. I'm on the fence whether to add Feel My Way To You from Still Restless.
