So why are they all blaming Chase Rice? This was a scheduled show put on by a radio station with other artists appearing later this summer and into fall. "Cancel" the radio station instead. I don't blame the artists for not turning down an opportunity to make money. Maybe for the next concert they should just require masks. One of my favorite Collin Raye song's is a song that didn't make much impact on radio. But I still adore it to this day. It has these lyrics in it: I was nineteen, it was a good job Moving TV's on a loading dock Till the boss said, "son Try to lose every seventh one I got it worked out with a good friend Keep your mouth shut, and we'll cut you in Now what do you say Don't you want to be rich one day" I lost a real good job that night But I kept my prideYeah, there are times in life when you might be able to make some money or get ahead of the game by doing the wrong thing. But it doesn't mean you should. Should the radio station get part of the blame? Sure. But that really doesn't matter here. Chase is the name. He's the, "star." If you think what he did was okay, no one is going to be able to change your mind. Just like the hundreds of people at the show. Some people have different standards though. The song you are referring to, I know this is a late response but you are referring to 2001's "Ain't Nobody Gonna Take That From Me" from Collin Raye and the album Can't Back Down.

Something needs to be done about these god awful long chart runs. I mean we’ve gone from 56 weeks to 66 i think in the span of a year, and this looks like it will overtake that, if they don’t set some kind of age rule or something in the not too distant future we might start seeing 100 week chart runs. 🙄

Hopefully today’s spin loss is not a fluke and this is getting ready to leave the chart soon.

Hopefully today’s spin loss is not a fluke and this is getting ready to leave the chart soon. Yes, I believe that this song is done...it looks to me as if Broken Bow finally pulled the plug on it, as it lost 94 spins and almost 800k in audience in today's update. That's a really steep single-day drop that almost certainly indicates the song is done. It's embarrassing that this song was allowed to climb so high, because it's barely been able to crack the top 700-800 on iTunes...usually songs that go top 10 at country radio are in the top 200 or better on iTunes. I've never seen such a poor-selling song climb so high on the airplay charts.

I agree it’s cooked, as I heard a radio ad today that he’s announcing his new single tonight on Nights With Alaina.
