Hey, this is my album review series. I will be reviewing rock music here, new and old. I’ll start with
Radiohead’s Pablo Honey. Released in 1993, those only familiar with their later albums would be surprised to hear they put out a grunge album.
How would I rate this album? 8/10 Although not their best effort, it’s certainly not bad. Longtime fans might argue this as one of their worst albums, and I might be inclined to agree, although I enjoy the album.
How would I rate the singles? Creep 9/10 It’s an absolute classic, albeit very overplayed. Not much to say. Creep peaked at #1 on my alternative songs chart.
Anyone Can Play Guitar 10/10 I enjoy this much more, I find it much more grunge-like at points. I think this one sounds better, but some of the riffs sound very similar to those in Nirvana’s In Bloom.
Stop Whispering 9/10 I enjoy this more Britpop oriented track, it’s much lighter than the other singles.
Standout tracks: How Do You?, Vegetable
