It's no surprise since Drake is #1 and Taylor #3 with their new singles. If it wasn't for them, OTR would still be #2, having about 30k streams less than Bad Guy. Plus, original version is #24 with 527k streams. Yeah it’s kinda weird people only watch the one version. Combining the two versions puts the song at #2.

OTR remix dropped to #7 on Spotify already and the airplay is in decline. Not gonna last 17 weeks at #1 on Hot 100, calling it now.

The Youtube streams of next couple of weeks are crucial, interesting to see those.
Kworb is predicting -18% in sales for next week Last week Spotify streams were down approx 1.6M compared to the week before.

99 million streams (the 6/22 number) is still up in Harlem Shake territory
It may have peaked but the decline may not be as fast as some would like

Combining the two versions puts the song at #2. ...and they don't know how to analyze the numbers on Spotify's charts. If you wanna know if a song is declining on Spotify you need to compare with the same day of the last week (Kworb's "7Day+" kworb.net/spotify/country/us_daily.html)Don't use the previous day because in OTR's case it's almost always gonna lose streams from Sunday to Monday, for example. Don't use the position because #7 with 1.5M streams is better than #1 with 1M (this is gonna happen in album bomb weeks). ---> Lil Tecca's Ransom possibly is the song with the best updates this week when you compare with last week's data (~+30%).

Some of y'all have been predicting Old Town Road's quick demise for months now lol. Let's wait and see.

I can totally see Post being at his peak now with two simultaneous smash hits. His next big single will do super well too but like the feature on DJ Khaled's song proved, his name alone can't make song a hit. From what I know correctly, "Celebrate" is not released as a single. But yeah, not all Post songs do big, another example would be his feature on Lorde's "Homemade Dynamite" with Khalid and SZA (which I think was released during the time "rockstar" leads the charts). Pretty much all big artists have some collabos that have underwhelmed on the charts. Not exactly sure what y'all trying to prove here. Post giving washed up Tiesto his biggest hit ever in 2018 is more noteworthy than any other example y'all listing here.

Wasted reached #49 in 2014. And Jackie Chan is still the bigger hit and my point still stands.

There's a fake image being spread around that Adele is dropping music on Friday, there's nothing on her instagram and there's no news about anything actually coming. Just an image that's circulating online that set Twitter ablaze. Don't believe the hype people.

Then we could get a new #1 that we could quickly grow tired of and wish wasn't there

Week to week, “OTR” has only lost about 160k streams between the two versions. The two versions combined were still #2 yesterday, and it still has over 11 million streams in the past week on Spotify between the two versions.

99 million streams (the 6/22 number) is still up in Harlem Shake territory It may have peaked but the decline may not be as fast as some would like OTR could cut its points total in half and still hold a comfortable lead over the #2 track. Thinking it won't break the record for most weeks at #1 is, in a word, wishful.

Yeah. It's YT daily streams are still triple the #2 song there.

Hence I said "interesting to see the Youtube numbers for the next couple of weeks" as they alone keep it afloat even if others are in harsh decline.

It'll pretty much depend on how big Ed actually debuts. If he breaks the day 1 streaming record again, I could see him being the one to do it.
I'm still thinking it'll make it to 15 and drop or just barely make 16 and tie

I’d hate a three way tie. I prefer that he either misses it at 15 or break it at 17

Well Ed would debut during that potential 15th week, so your wish may be granted lol.

Hope it doesn't hit 15 weeks exactly lol.
I think Boyz II Men having a single with the most weeks #1 (OSD 16 weeks), second most weeks #1 (I'll Make Love to You 14 weeks), and third weeks most #1 (End of the Road 13 weeks) is so randomly awesome.
Same with Mariah having a single with the most weeks #1 (OSD 16 weeks), and second most weeks #1 (We Belong Together 14 weeks).
A 15-weeker would mess all that up.

If OTR falls under 600 and Ed having multiple 3M day, its possible because he always puts the new songs on YT which should help a bit. If I had to guess it'd be the Travis song, the leaked snippet is fantastic and both are steaming monsters. Match made in heaven imo. Also top 3 ain't really a high bar when number 2 is closer to 300 then 400

Haven't we recently seen a bunch of collaborations outright flop, or at best make like the bottom of the top 10? This is particularly true when they aren't the main single. Heck, look at "End Game." Or "River." Or that Game of Thrones track.

I'm more inclined to think this won't flop because it'll have album hype and Ed's name alone will give it a pretty healthy boost. I mean Cross Me was Chances like 3rd song to make top 30 and PnB's first ever I think. Also I'm sure He's got something else for release weekend.
Also him literally just breaking the day 1 stream record again with a pretty average song gives me faith lol
