"Hell on the Heart" was released as the second single off Eric Church's Carolina album in October of 2009. It peaked at #9 on Mediabase in May of 2010, making it the longest chart run of Eric career up to that point. The song was written by Eric, Jeremy Spillman and Deric Ruttan.
This is such a catchy tune that was definitely something that could work its way up at radio. It's got great production, too. It's a a forgotten hit from Eric. "Smoke a Little Smoke" coming after it, then the breakthrough album Chief made this one get lost in the shuffle.

I expected Smoke A Little Smoke to be eliminated soon but it went before Hell On The Heart which he hates :(

Wow, "Up On The Ridge" is absolutely incredible y'all. I can't with this being outside of the top 20.
"Smoke A Little Smoke" is my favorite Eric Church song. Such a catchy, rock-leaning jam. SO glad to see this make the top 40 cuz I would not have been surprised to see this much, much lower.

"Temporary Home" does nothing for me. Yeah Carrie delivers another great vocal but the song itself... no. I've never really cared for 'Christian Carrie', give me truck-vandalizing, black-out-drunk-marrying, Cadillac-murderess Carrie anyday!

#32. Brad Paisley - "Water"
Total Points: 806 Average: 50.3 Year Released: March 29th, 2010 Mediabase Peak: #1 Billboard Peak: #1 Rankings:ClevelandRox - 18 tim - 23 recordyear - 26 sabre14 - 28 George Strait Junkie - 32 bboat11 - 35 g8erboi - 40 someguy - 51 castleoblivion26 - 52 kw9461 - 52 gardyfan - 55 Kanenrá:ke - 55 Cody Wants Out... - 73 .indulgecountry - 77 toomuchboy - 83 LBTrocks - 106 Following: Mylo13 💜"Water" was released as the fourth single off Brad Paisley's American Saturday Night album in March of 2010. It peaked at #1 in July. The song was written by Brad, Chris DuBois and Kelley Lovelace.
Brad wanted to write a song based entirely around water. His co-writers and longtime collaborators didn't know what he meant at first but he literally said, I want to write about water lol. They decided to make it a summertime anthem.
This isn't Brad's best song by a long-shot but I really like how fun "Water" is. It's always a must add for the summertime playlist.

"Water" is a fun listen, but I am a bit surprised it lasted as long as it did! I kinda had the impression that people were getting tired of Brad's schtick around the time this song came out (although "Camouflage" was probably an even bigger offender) I love it though, so no complains from me!

"Free" is one of my favorite Zac Brown Band songs. I can totally see why people find it boring, and tbh I never paid much attention to it when it was a hit. But as I got to know my best friend in college, who is a musician and does gigs with a local country band and stuff, I realized what a FUN song this is to sing! Seriously, sitting around a campfire with a small group of friends who can all sing or whatever, this is one of those songs that is perfect for that environment

American Saturday Night should have been the highest Brad Paisley song. "My great-great-great-granddaddy stepped off of that ship" is a very fun line to sing and I like the glimpse of globalization in the lyrics. Free is also a bit too low. Have always enjoyed their fiddles and this is one of them. Very epic sounding.
My #126 is still in...also the two Kellie Pickler's songs can leave any time now.

I can totally see why people find "Free" boring (hell, this is the exact kind of song I usually find boring), but for some reason I've always loved it. There's something about how the production perfectly fits the lyrics that totally works.

Boo at this being out but yay at it at least making the top 30. First off, lyrics are awesome! Gary’s delivery is fantastic as usual. The instrumentation rocks and the song is perfectly produced. This is one you can’t help but crank up. Such a jam.

It reached #1 on Mediabase in November. The song was the first single from Sugarland in nearly a year. It was written by Kristian Bush, Jennifer Nettles, Kevin Griffin and Shy Carter.
I can totally see why people hate this song and while it's far from the incredible material on Sugarland's first two albums, I can't help but enjoy "Stuck Like Glue." It's just so damn catchy lol. The reggae part is a bit annoying but the stations I listened to dropped out the reggae verse, which I'm sure was many other stations as well.
Ryan McPartlin stars in the music video with Jennifer and Kristian.

Not a song that will win "song of the year" but it's a harmless diddy that was perfect for summer. I love the steel guitar laced throughout the track and that guitar riff in the melody is one of the catchiest things I've heard the past decade at country radio.

It was off her self-titled, full-length debut album for Lyric Street Records. It peaked at #22 on Mediabase in February of 2010 after a lengthy chart climb. The song was written by Sarah, Gary Burr, Mark Hudson and Victoria Shaw. It was Sarah's final charting single at country radio.
If the music video looks homemade, that's because it is lol. It cost $80 to make and features writers Mark Hudson and Victoria Shaw; along with pop group Hanson. It also was released when the single was, which Sarah pushed for.
This is probably my favorite single from Sarah. It's carefree and puts you in a better mood. I remember thinking at the time how long it had been out by the time of February of 2010 came around.

It peaked at #14 in February. The song was written by Chris Lindsey, Aimee Mayo and Troy Verges.
Never been a huge fan of this song. I like Kellie's material for the most part but this one is just too over-the-top in vocals and production. I liked "Makin' Me Fall in Love Again" much better.
This made up huge ground after I tallied the last 4-5 lists.

"Turn On the Radio" isn't my favorite Reba song, but even a middle-tier Reba song is better than most other artists (which is why I ranked it at 21). I do really enjoy the chorus. The verses make her sound "old," particularly that line, "Twitter me."
