Since Kelsea released an official clip of Underestimated, you can hear how great the chorus of that song really is. And the verses are sung in a unique way that Kelsea has never done before. I think that song would make a tremendous single and be a fan favorite. Going back to the Unapologetically deluxe, which you referenced, the original four bonus songs were supposed to be: Fun and Games, We Were Like, Miss America, and Naive. It was a true loss when Miss America and Naive were cut because they are such great songs. I kind of wish Kelsea's team would consider making this a double album. There is so much material available to her since, as she has said, she wrote over 100 songs for the album. Yeah, I know. I've probably listened to the snippet at least 200 times. The chorus is so catchy, that's why I was hoping it would make the cut. It would be awesome for Underestimated and Therapy to make the cut. I think I've said this at least 6 times now, but a boy can dream. I absolutely love We Were Like and Fun And Games, that's why I wanted to hear the other two songs so bad. I double album would be incredible

Wow, things are moving along quickly. Not sure if anyone figured out the song title based on the clue from her lyrics: "Carpet’s red, ego’s fed, but it’s myself that I have to face". Red carpet = L.A.
We now have 6 songs confirmed for the album: Homecoming Queen, Club, Love & Hate, The Other Girl, Hole In the Bottle, and L.A.

Kelsea is on Walker Hayes' new Ep on a song called "Acceptance Speech" and it's out December 6th.

When I first heard Acceptance Speech about 6 months ago, I didn't really like the verses, only the choruses where Kelsea sings. But the song grew on me over the months and now I really like the whole thing. I'm glad to see that it is finally being released in just over a week so everyone can finally hear it. It is definitely different and unique, that's for sure.

Acceptance Speech is only 2:12 long. The songs she released/is featured on this era are really short. I hope we'll get a few 4+ minutes songs on the album.

Oh wow that is really short. The demo clocks in at 2:51. The producers must have cut one of the verses and a couple of the choruses, perhaps to give it a more radio-friendly time. The demo doesn't have a break between vocals for a guitar solo, so that couldn't have been what was cut.

Hey guys! I’m so excited to be joining the conversation with you. I’ve been reading all of your posts over the last few months and thought with the album release approaching early next year, it was time I joined in on the fun!

Acceptance Speech is really bad, the worst song Kelsea was involved in. I thought she would have a verse in the song, but nothing.
But Carly Pearce's new album includs Finish Your Sentences, which Kelsea performed live before I think.

Oh wow that final released version of Acceptance Speech turned out awful. Whichever producer made the decision to cut Kelsea's parts from the song and replace them with another singer made a really bad decision. On top of that, they shortened the song and changed the whole vibe which made the demo special. I wish everyone could hear Kelsea's version... it is 100x better.

Since you’ve heard a lot of the music recorded for KB3, what are the 13 songs you ideally want to see on the tracklist?

I'll answer the question in case you are someone from Kelsea's camp. Last year, I started working up my own KB3 playlist which I have continued to refine up until this point. Here is my current KB3 playlist of how I would release the album along with which 4 songs would be the singles. Only 3 of these 13 songs are currently scheduled to be on the album. A couple notes: Clear Air is a good album opener because it signifies a fresh start, which fits with a brand new album era. Drinking Together is a short but incredible sing-a-long type song.
Album title: "Pretty"
1. Clear Air 2. Cool Being Cool 3. Bones 4. I Started Writing Love Songs (single) 5. Miss America 6. Underestimated (single) 7. Homecoming Queen (single) 8. Pretty 9. Love and Hate 10. I Didn't Stutter (single) 11. The Other Girl 12. Drinking Together 13. Naive

Someone just alerted me to this clip which I don't think anybody has mentioned before. This is a clip posted by Kelsea of her song "Naive". http://instagr.am/p/BV20E2tggUV

I only asked you because of your first hand knowledge with the songs and was curious to know which songs you thought would make for an amazing album. It’s a little upsetting that majority of your tracklist are not contenders to making the final cut, but maybe Kelsea will release a Side B project in 2021 given the creation of this album has been a monumental moment in her life? Side note: can you shed any light on Spilled Champagne? I’m very curious about this title and have been for a while.

I don't get why her team is choosing songs like Homecoming Queen or Club, when there are a lot of more instant songs. And the fact you didn't put L.A. on there scares me a little bit as well. Naive sounds incredible!! Now that I've heard a snippet: Naive, Graffiti, Underestimated and Therapy are the songs I would die for to hear in full.

Acceptance Speech is horrible, but I for one am quite glad Kelsea isn't involved in that, because I find Walker Hayes style of 'singing' unbearable. Kelsea might have made it slightly better, but I doubt it would have prevented that train wreck. I really wish country artists in general realised in this day and age there is not point in making short albums (11-13) with the streaming, and would include 15-18 songs per album. Regarding tracklisting, I really can't comment on these albums picks, since we don't known the official tracklist yet, and I haven't heard most of the songs they cut off the album, but considering they left Hit song off the last album, to include far lesser songs, I don't have high hopes for this one!
For example I quite like Homecoming Queen, but club is 5/10 at best, and being released early makes me think it's likely to be one of the highlights of the album, which makes it harder to be excited about the songs that make the cut.

taurus, here is a song description I wrote up for Spilled Champagne. I'm behind on my song descriptions, as I was waiting on Kelsea to choose her final tracklisting before talking about the cut songs. But I'll work on writing up some more over the next few months. Spilled Champagne
Kelsea uses various aspects of a bottle of champagne to illustrate how she fell in love with a boy and things were going wonderfully. However, the cup was only half full and the bottom fell out. They went from being the toast of the town to falling on the ground. But Kelsea has no regrets and isn't crying over the spilled champagne. This song has some heavy electric reverb.

Thanks for taking the time to write this up! Kelsea comes up with some unique track titles that I just need to know the story behind them. Regarding the tracklisting again, do you know why they’re focusing on the music written in 2019 rather than picking the best songs written over the last 2 years?

@steveic
Kelsea just posted that they added one song to the album. Do you know what it's called?

That's called "A Country Song". I'm guessing the label wanted another song that sounded more country. Interesting because that is not on the Music Row circulated preliminary tracklisting for either the main album or deluxe.

A brief clip of a new song can be heard in the background of Kelsea's current Instagram story about doing final mixes. Not sure how to save or post that.

What is everyone expecting from the upcoming track? I’m personally hoping for it to be a little more upbeat with some west coast vibes given the title.

I'm not sure how to verify this from songwriting databases, but I was told that the reason L.A. is included on the album is because Kelsea wrote it all by herself. The demo is a pretty ballad.

Thanks for the tidbit! Should we assume a ballad heavy album is on the way? Do you think this release will launch with an album pre-order?

Kelsea herself said that L.A. is self-written and she wanted to include the song, because she always has one self-written song on the album. I hope it's not as boring as homecoming queen and will build up more.

Thanks for the tidbit! Should we assume a ballad heavy album is on the way? Do you think this release will launch with an album pre-order? I think it would be safe to call the new album ballad heavy. Even though I would make different song selection choices, I'm sure that would be true of every single fan out there. Kelsea has put together a fantastic album and I'm sure that everybody will love it. She's such a prolific songwriter that it really exposes the archaic nature of how the music industry works with just releasing 1 album every 2-3 years. Artists should be able to release every song that they write, as they are written and recorded. It seems like such a waste to write over 100 songs for an album and yet the public will only get to hear 13-17 of those at most.

It really saddens me, that she has so many great songs, and we will never get to hear most of them :'( Btw, do you guys think we'll get the album pre-order, including album cover and release date along with the release of L.A.?
