1. I Hope You Dance? 2. Not the slightest clue. About 90% of the songs were new to me so I have no idea how others feel about them. 3. I Hope You Dance, Forever & For Always, The Long Way Around? 4. Fearless for most polarizing, Taylor seems to get very polarizing results on country RDs. Maybe Kerosene for least polarizing? 5. I didn't realize she won the 90s RD. Higher than I ranked her I guess... 6. #25? 7. As I said about 90% were new so I feel like I'd be giving away too much if I listed my favorite discoveries, but my #1, #4, #5, #7, #8, #9 and #10 were all discoveries. I really like my top 7 in particular, I hope they do well. 8. Taylor was my fave but I'd argue she was already straddling country and pop with songs like Teardrops and You Belong With Me, so other than her I'd say the Dixie Chicks.

1) What will be #1 and what other songs will be top 5 contenders?I can only picture "Forever and for Always" or "I Hope You Dance" winning, but at the same time I'm sure they've got tankers. "Backseat of a Greyhound Bus," "Who I Am," and "That's the Way" are other ones that are probably near the top.
2) What will be #55 and what other songs will round out the bottom 5?"The One in the Middle" and the Julianne Hough song are two near the bottom.
3) Only three songs held the #1 position at one point in time or another. What were those three songs? "Forever and For Always," "Backseat of a Greyhound Bus," "Who I Am."
4) What songs do you think will be most polarizing? Least polarizing?Chely Wright and Jewel for most. "Don't Forget to Remember Me" and "Who I Am" for least?
5) The winner of the 90s Women of Country rankdown Deana Carter is featured yet again with "I'm Just a Girl". Where do you expect her to finish this time?In the thirties.
6) Where will the theme song of the rankdown "This One's for the Girls" finish? In the 10-15 range.
7) Were there any discoveries from the 00s that you liked? "The Clown." I already had Reba's newest album (where she covered the song), but I must've overlooked it. Great discovery.
8) Who is your favorite Country Girl from the 2000s and why? Sara Evans for sure. Two of her best albums were released in that decade, and her voice is just amazing, imo. Reba and Kellie Pickler would be my next picks.

1) What will be #1 and what other songs will be top 5 contenders? I mean, it took the rest of ya'll so long to do this rankdown that I don't completely remember which songs are in it... But I'd say "Who I Am" is the most likely #1 contender. Sara will be right up there too. Lee Ann will have tankers, but probably will still be in the top 5. Maybe Terri Clark's "She Didn't Have Time"? I'd like to think "When God-Fearin' Women Get The Blues" could be a top 5 contender, but that might be wishful thinking. Hoping for at least top 10 for that one!!! OMG Queen Reba needs to make the top 5 with "Because Of You" too!! 2) What will be #55 and what other songs will round out the bottom 5? No idea... Probably songs from lesser-known artists. 3) Only three songs held the #1 position at one point in time or another. What were those three songs? Who I Am, Backseat Of A Greyhound Bus, and no idea... Maybe Jo Dee?! 4) What songs do you think will be most polarizing? Least polarizing? Most: Don't Forget To Remember Me. Least: I think "Kerosene" is a safe guess. 5) The winner of the 90s Women of Country rankdown Deana Carter is featured yet again with "I'm Just a Girl". Where do you expect her to finish this time? Lmao Deana fans are going to be disappointed, is my prediction... I love this song, but I remember how people felt about it in Deana's artist rankdown, and was honestly surprised you had the guts to include it in this rankdown too! 6) Where will the theme song of the rankdown "This One's for the Girls" finish? Top 15!! Might get knocked out before the top 10. 7) Were there any discoveries from the 00s that you liked? There are always discoveries that I like! I don't remember off the top of my head though... Lol 8) Who is your favorite Country Girl from the 2000s and why? I mean... Y'all can probably guess But honestly, Martina has such a pleasant tone to her voice, and is extremely consistent in how she uses it. Singing high or low, singing loud or soft, singing traditional or pop-leaning material, her timbre is always just so pristine. She doesn't thin out when she is near the top of her range, she doesn't become obnoxiously brassy when she pushes hard, she doesn't lose power as she goes low, she sounds as amazing live as she does in studio, etc. Just an absolute queen of vocal technique! Every vocalist in this rankdown has strengths, many of them even better than Martina in some regards (Reba and Jo Dee can emote better any day, Terri Clark's low range has way more power, Carrie can go higher, Faith has a bit more soul, etc.), but Martina is the most well-rounded blend of positive vocal attributes, in my opinion. And to top it all off, she has usually been a very consistent albums artist. Even as her radio success dropped off, her albums have kept delivering! But I love SO many of these women I could rant all day about why Sara, Reba, Jo Dee, Terri, etc. are all so perfect!!

I ranked "When God-Fearin' Women Get The Blues" higher than most of the other songs you listed, it was one of my favorite discoveries, so maybe it has a chance. Aside from that I'm already starting to get a bit worried about how people will react to my rankings... For what it's worth I didn't straight up dislike any song here, even the bottom few were songs I merely didn't care for.

I mean, you put in the time and effort to check out these songs for the first time! As long as you honestly ranked the songs based on your enjoyment level, nobody will give you a legitimately bad time :) It's when people try to strategically tank artists that usually do well, or do other shady things, that people get mad. But just plain questionable taste is usually not an issue! (I mean, we keep LBTrocks around! Lol)

As for the predictions, all I know is that some of these lesser-knowns (Kellie Coffey, Rebecca Lynn Howard being prime examples) should have definitely continued making music. Coffey legitimately sounds like the American, country Celine! I personally wish for Terri to go as far as possible, and I hope she has time for a #1 finish. That song spoke massive volumes to me and watching the video made me tear up.

“Fight Like a Girl” was released in February 2009 as the second single and title track from their debut album of the same name. It was co-written by the duo's two members, Kristy Osmunson and Kelley Shepard, along with Bob Regan. This song remained a bottom 5 contender for most of its run as a majority of us ended up placing this within their top 50 and only a handful put this into their top 40. It only slid into last place at the very final moment and unfortunately taylor is the first to lose a top 15 while an the other end Troublemaker loses their last place right out of the gate along with two others who lose a bottom 5. All in all most of us were in agreement and this ended up coming in as the least polarizing song of the rankdown!

“Honeysuckle Sweet” was the debut single from the album of the same name and released in 2004 where it peaked at #52. This remained a consistent last place contender for the majority of the time as it received nine bottom 5 rankings. Unfortunately Kanenrá:ke becomes our first participant to say goodbye to a top 10 while nickd loses a top 15 which happened to give it enough support to escape last place. Jessi has since gone on to be a successful songwriter and has co-written numerous hits including Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb”, Blake Shelton’s “Drink On It”, “Mine Would Be You”, and “Turnin’ Me On”, as well as the 2013 CMA Song of the Year “I Drive Your Truck”. She has also co-written numerous songs for Ashley Monroe including “If Love Was Fair”, “If The Devil Don’t Want Me”, and “I’m Good at Leavin” along with “When Love Gets a Hold of You” which Reba released as the third single from her All the Women I Am album.

I know "Fight Like a Girl" wasn't a big success, but I can think of quite a few songs it should've outlasted instead. Deserved way more support than this. P.S. Don't let my ranking for "Honeysuckle Sweet" fool you; I actually liked it quite a bit. It was pretty cute if you ask me.

Aside from "Song In My Head" which I don't care for at all, this is off to an... interesting start. Neither "Fight Like A Girl" or "Honeysuckle Sweet" deserved to be bottom 2.

"That Song in My Head" was released in 2008 as the first single from Julianne’s self-titled debut album and became her first and only top 20 hit. As a couple of you had predicted this ended up exiting in the bottom 5 which is where it mostly remained as a majority of the participants placed this somewhere within their top 40 and only a handful put this inside their top 30. SHOOTER is the sole participant to lose a top 20 while three others lose a bottom 5 including Kanenrá:ke and toomuchboy who see their last place song exit.

I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few of us have this same thought regarding "Honeysuckle Sweet". I myself find it to be a rather harmless song and I actually quite enjoy it. In the end, though, I just couldn't find room to place this any higher.

Honeysuckle Sweet is nice song. It has that warm and nostalgic feeling to it and the theme is also close to me. But I couldn’t rank it any higher because it don’t have that wow factor, that would make me want to listen to it again and again.
