But its similar to billboard same artist other peaks so whats the point??? They're just making a shittier version of an already s**tty product. I would love a real popularity chart with just streaming and sales. No radio, no bundles and other nonsense. The problem is that Rolling Stones can't even secure a complete data. So yeah, what's the point?

Streaming must be weighted way more than radio since Talk and Sucker are not even top 10... Radio isn't included. It's a sales+streaming chart basically, like UK's chart. If my formula is accurate, Billboard uses: 1 download = 250 paid streams 1 download = 375 free streams

i would understand some of the statements in this thread if the charts were like, three months old and they hadn't squashed some of the basic bugs (like how "J Balvin, Bad Bunny" are listed as a separate artist from J Balvin and Bad Bunny) or they were still unable to find a way to incorporate video streaming… but this is a consumer magazine—not a trade magazine, unlike billboard—doing record charts for the first time ever. said charts have only been publicly available for two days and are still in beta testing. maybe we should wait a bit before we start talking about "this is a sh*tty product"?
just to clarify, no, i am not saying that we can't point out the currently-existing bugs (incorrect album peaks, incorrect streaming totals for artists, multi-lead credits being considered as their own artists instead of being counted for all of the artists, featured artists being completely ignored) as well as design flaws (like how rockgolf pointed out that loading the top 500 by every 15 artists is just outright painful)… you can point out bugs and design flaws w/o jumping the shark and crying "it's sh*t, ignore it, chart nerds don't approve of it, no, it's trash, sorry"

The thing is that while the current form of the chart is new, the chart itself isn’t by a long shot. Essentially, what’s going on here is a repackaging and slight reformulation of BuzzAngle’s charts, who have a consistent history of questionable data (they’ve been the partner for HITS’ album and streaming charts for a while now and keep having to covertly correct errors or just leave them standing, like with Sanguine Paradise’s debut week being listed as ~35m on-demand streams when it was nowhere near the number) and incorrect editorial decisions (e.g. not catching the Kris Wu VPN fiasco). With them building the archives and still showing signs of their old mistakes, it seems doubtful they’ll improve with a new presenter.

Passive streaming is exactly the same as radio, so they got that part right. I wish Billboard would devalue PS more.
Like HDD's charts, it's always nice to have other charts/data.
Billboard will always be the industry standard - Rolling Stone is about 40 years too late.

Whatever thread we keep, can we make sure the title is ‘Rolling Stone’ and not ‘Rolling Stones?’

Looks like the charts still haven’t fixed themselves, as Drake’s new songs are listed with peaks in the 5-6 thousands. Unless the peak is the weekly peak now, in which case it sort of makes sense.

^It has Boyfriend projected at #1. Even Tool's Sober and Schism at #56 and #98, respectively.

For what it matters, the songs from Post Malone's new album had 17 out of the top 21 spots in the latest top 100 chart. It has Circles with 19.1 million streams, while Spotify reported 18.5 million streams.

This merger basically makes the Rolling Stone charts redundant. It will be interesting to see if they keep them around... I honestly haven't even seen them referred to since they first launched.
