The tracking week has started.
Big releases include Post Malone & Ed Sheeran.
I donβt see anything else impacting big.

Revenge of the Dreamers may also cause some issues considering how much of an album artist J. Cole is.
Also, OH MY GOD POST RELEASED AN ACTUAL VIDEO ON RELEASE WHAT IS HAPPENING? THE FABRIC OF THE UNIVERSE IS LITERALLY TEARING APART

Side note - when/if Post Malone 4(I think) drops, He's coming for Drakes record for most top 10s in a week calling it now.

This could be nothing, but while watching the music video for Goodbyes, at about 1:10, Post comes out of the grave and on one of the gravestones has something written on it, like β______ Daysβ. Didnβt know if he could possibly be hinting at an album title ala T-Swift. Normally I would be overthinking this, cause itβs Post, but we got a music video on the same day as a new song, so Iβm not ruling anything out haha

Omg, what have they done to Goodbyes? Why does the final version sound so subdued? What is that new beat and synths??? Why does it sound like it was produced by Max Martin and The Weeknd? What is this FLOP???

It does not sound more "Max Martin" than Sunflower to me.

Sheeran will dilute his impact because he's released 3 different tracks this week: Blow with Chris Stapleton & Bruno Mars, Best Part of Me with Yebba (my favorite of the 3), and Beautiful People with Khalid, which will probably have the most chart impact. But I doubt it will even make the top 10.
I hope radio picks up on Best Part of Me. Reminds me of some of his best early work.

"Goodbyes" is pretty great and Post has never looked better. 2019 continues to impress me.

The video views are very low, Post needs gigantic audio streaming (like 6M daily on Spotify as it's his #1 streaming platform) to challenge OTR this week and even that might not be enough.

BLOW by Ed Sheeran with Chris Stapleton and Bruno Mars is not what I expected at all, and for that reason I hope it catches on and becomes a fairly large hit. It's definitely going to be the least likely to out of the 3 newest releases from Ed's upcoming album.

Post's video isn't doing anything crazy and it's kind of underperforming on AM.
Looks like OTR is gonna do a 15th week at #1

So many Post stans on twitter and instagram trashing both the song and poor Thugger. The way things are going, we are going to be lucky if we see Top 5 debut.

It's not his best single and after Rockstar/Psycho/Better Now/Sunflower/Wow. Post has become really predictable with his singles. I wasn't the least bit surprised when I heard Goodbyes. It's exactly what I expected. It's also not a really good song. It's a weaker single than Psycho to me. It should still manage a top 10 debut and knowing Post, it'll remain there for a long while, so he's good either way.

While I'm not a huge fan of Sunflower, I can admit that the song has its own charm. Goodbyes final version (I still like the demo) sounds like any faceless song on pop radio. When I heard those claps and synths, I was so confused because it sounded so out there, so Top 40, and not in a good way. I'm so over that type of pop. You're right about about him becoming predictable and lazy. I kinda hope this underperforms, just to send him a message.

This song is amazing and I think he's doing a great job with his releases.
