The remix is coming y'all. This white horse really attracts the attention. Fans on Twitter are already speculating if Billie is featured. I'd lose my shit because then she would get a #1 either with Bad Guy (remix with JB) or Old Town Road (if she gets credited). Either way, OTR is coming for that record

People say in Twitter that the movie seems awful.. I dunno. However, the quality of the movie (or lack of it) has never stopped a SONG from a movie from topping the charts. I hear its just a shot for shot remake. Which is what i expected it to be. Super HD Lion King lol. Perfect example - FF7 and See You Again. Average movie plus average song somehow got a 14(?) Week number one |

So at this point Sunflower is gonna be Post's biggest hit ever Nah. Rockstar is still bigger, especially worldwide. Rockstar spent 124 days at #1 on US Spotify and is still #74 there. As far as superstar remixes designed to keep the song at #1... Young Thug is a bit of a non-event.
But don't worry, the "Bad Guy" remix is godawful. OTR will be fine.

It never mattered if the song was awful or not to go number one. Harlem Shake, Closer, Despacito, Girls Like You, these are all examples. I don’t hate OTR as much as I used to, but I don’t think it deserves to break the record. I understand it that many want this song to break the record because he’s a progressive figure, but why can’t everyone root for songs made by progressive figures that are actually good?

Because quality is subjective. Closer is my favorite song of the decade, btw. |

I thought the white horse was just diplo? That would mean it's gonna be the Diplo remix just with YT verse added to it. It doesn't make sense to me especially since this Diplo version hasn't sold well but maybe, who knows at this point |

Well, guess Bad Guy’s remix is germane to this thread thanks to the Thursday launch. I hope it cuts the boost’s legs under itself losing the day 1 to this week, the remix is bad imo and I hope Talk or Truth Hurts passes it soon to give us a new #2 or a new challenger as karma.

Lizzo and Billie Eilish both have songs in the top ten and are both arguably progressive role models for many. Lizzo’s song “Truth Hurts” has been rising quickly and is in my opinion a sleeper hit. Her whole persona is about being herself and loving her body, I think that is a progressive viewpoint to many. Billie Eilish has been on the radar for a year or two now and has a big hit now, “bad guy”. I think she’s progressive because she’s so young and already making hit music. I gave some examples but in reality every number two hit this year deserves it and Lil Nas X ruined the flow of 2019 having the most number ones of the decade and I hate OTR because of it. |
