Crazy that this will only be her second Top 10 hit (third counting features). Her profile seems so much larger! she's definitely more of a global sensation. I'm honestly glad she's established herself in the us without a proper follow-up to "New Rules", I was worried about the second album. (I know she released singles after "New Rules" but none of them even reached top 40 -- I was over the moon when this debuted at #30.) Not gonna lie here, I definitely thought Dua was going to be one of those people that fell into the Best New Artist curse. She's on the right track (even though this song still deserves more recognition), but I still don't think she's officially out of the woods yet. As someone who likes her sound I'm rooting for her though. |

Callout hasn't returned before the last week of January for the past four years (actually, it didn't return until February for 2016, 2018, and 2019) so I wouldn't expect to see anything for at least another four weeks, really. Anything earlier than that will be a pleasant surprise...I think their number of survey takers has ticked up slightly since last year though so I suppose it's possible if they hit a sufficient number earlier than expected. |
