I hated New Rules. I hated IDGAF. I was meh with One Kiss. I was meh with Swan Song. Now this is actually really good.

I wish the video was better, it isn't bad it's just underwhelming. So happy with how they are handling this release. Do Dua I'm perched for that album now.

The production is nice and her vocals have improved, but am I the only one who finds this song forgettable? There's no instant hook and I couldn't recall anything back after hearing it on first listen. I'll give it a few more listens but idk I find the melody to be very hook-less

I like the song but the beginning is very messy when the second verse kicks in that is were I start bopping my head. Grower.Video was kinda underwhelming. 7.5/10

This has a radio deal. The track will be played at the top of every hour today. Just to clarify, it seems that I misunderstood Z100's tweet. It's true that this had a radio deal yesterday, but it was at the top of every other hour, not every hour as I said before. This means that this was played at alternate hours, hence the reason why it didn't have a huge start. |

I haven't turned this off for 48 hours and I have no regrets. At all. It doesn't get old!
Also I'm genuinely shocked by how many people are saying it shows no artistic growth? Yeah there's SOME similarity's to her other songs like the pre-chorus is Electricity/One Kiss-esque but that's the only thing for me? Dare I mention she was also recording the album at the time Electricity and One Kiss came out?
Anyway, this has to be one of my favorite songs of 2019, and maybe even my favorite song from her. It's so so infectious. Ready for the album!

It was #2 a couple hours ago before Maroon 5 passed her. Kane Brown's sales were decreasing though so hopefully she can still snag that #1.

Thoughts on 1st listen:
Dua Lipa just took a melody that is close to a song very popular in the 80s, then placed wonderful vocals in it, then voila! She made an absolutely amazing pop song that can likely jumpstart her 2020s success.

pop perfection!! this song and the video really cements her star power in my eyes, she has so much natural charisma.
very pleasantly surprised by how well this is doing, especially considering it sounds way more like a euro hit then an american one. she really should have released this (or another lead) after Electricity flopped instead of wasting her time with a bunch of one off singles -- that being said, it looks like it luckily didnt kill her momentum *too* much.

Other than Swan Song (which had to come out with that film) she didn't release anything after Grammy winning song Electricity flopped (in the US).
I think the break from that until this song was fine. Made us miss her (not like, say, Ariana), but also didn't test our patience (like Rihanna I mean come on now...)
