Artist: Eric Church Single: "Monsters" Writers: Eric Church, Jeff Hyde Album: Desperate Man Label: EMI Nashville/UMG Nashville Impact Date: TBA
I have it on good authority that "Monsters" will be the third single off Desperate Man from Eric Church. :)

I think this is the right choice. "Hippie Radio" and "Heart Like A Wheel" sound a little more radio-friendly to me, but this is one of Eric's best songs and has a chance to blow up into a huge hit.

Back to back #1’s calling it now! I was hoping it was this or “Hippie Radio” next!

Wanted Heart Like a Wheel, but this will do. What a great song. But have a feeling today’s youth might not understand the meaning

Think this one was a good choice as well. It has a possible "wild card" factor where I could see it blowing up well sales/streams wise. Still relatively radio friendly as well even though its on the slower side.

I think both this and Heart Like a Wheel will do about what Kill a Word and Wrecking Ball did. Good sales and reviews, around a #7 peak. Don’t think it’ll be the smash Some Of It was

On first listen, I like this quite a bit more than the lead single (which I flat-out disliked) and "Some of It" (which felt like an unnecessary re-tread of like 4 or 5 of his other midtempo 'introspective' singles he's put out in the last 5 or so years). This one is pretty solid though. Probably my favorite single of his since "Record Year," at least.

"Monsters" is my favorite song on the record, with "Hippie Radio" and "Heart Like A Wheel" being my next two favorites so hopefully those 3 are the next singles but if only one becomes a single I'm glad it is "Monsters"!

Next to "Hangin' Around" this has been my favorite song off the album since I first heard it. I was just listening to this the other day in hopes that they would choose it as the next single and I'm really looking forward to hearing this on the radio soon.

“Monsters” is coming soon. UMG Nashville running this teaser ad in Country Aircheck’s email this week. No label or artist info in the ad but it’s Eric.

It's being bugging me and I can't figure out where I've seen those monsters before. I think they might be close to the monsters that Target uses in their Halloween decor... or something like that. I swear I've seen those monsters before. (I have seriously been thinking about this too much and needed someone else to know about it)

EMI Nashville just sent out "Monsters" to country radio; impacts immediately according to the press release but I'm assuming Eric will see a good chunk of adds starting next week, the day after Labor Day.

I can already see uneducated kids saying Church or Combs copied the ‘monsters’ line from each other.

The melody is pretty good but I don't like that instrumentation at ALL. Hoping I get over it because I'd probably listen to this otherwise.

Yeah, I agree with .indulgecountry on this one. It's better than the retreaded garbage he put out previously, but still not as good as his older stuff. Just kind of dull. Should do fine as a single. May need a bit of corporate cash to energize its chart run, but it'll all work out.

Combs, Maren Morris, Chesney, Pardi, McGraw, etc all speaking about Eric. Taken from his Some Of It party

What else does Eric Church have to do? Nearly died after his 2017 tour, does 2 tours SOLO for 4 hours a night and loses to a guy who bleaches his beard and lip syncs?
It’s time for him to blackball the industry like Sturgill did. Legacy will be even greater.

What else does Eric Church have to do? Kiss ass, which is why he will never win. His touring speaks for itself, he doesn't need some stupid award anyway.
