I've been seeing some gross ads on this site recently. They are mostly pictures of weird creatures with health product related titles. Is there a way for user to choose what kind of ads we want to see and skip the ones that make us uncomfortable (like google ads does)? Thanks.

I got these really weird invasive pop up ads on my phone when I was viewing Pulse on Taptalk. They redirected me to the iTunes App Store to buy some game and other stuff. I had to close Taptalk completely and reopen it to make it go away.

AdBlocker (desktop) and Blockada (mobile) are the best inventions.

AdBlocker (desktop) and Blockada (mobile) are the best inventions. Thanks for the pointer. I try not to use them because I do want to support websites like the ProBoards but I'll start using it just to avoid running into these creepy ads.

I'm not sure if Blockada has this feature (I'm sure it does I've just never had a reason to look into it), but AdBlocker does have the capability of only blocking ads from certain sites.

There is also a web browser called Brave which has an ad blocker built in, so you don't have to download any plugins/extensions for it.

I've considered using something like that because I often get very random ads lol. One that keeps showing up is one proudly proclaiming "Take the time to be a father today!"

AdBlocker (desktop) and Blockada (mobile) are the best inventions. I still get ads even with those ad blockers on some sites.
