Lyrically great!
Melodically pretty simple. Songs kind of run together. A couple songs sound pretty much like “Key to Life”.

All due respect but does Vince not rock anymore? I’d have liked to hear a couple upbeat songs with the telecaster. Maybe he can get together with Brent Mason’s crew sometime soon and rock a little.

This is just a ok album I’ve never been huge on Vince but there are a few standout track for me

My favorite - That Old Man of Mine - i can relate to this
A World Without Haggard - this song cuts me deep its like Vince wrote the words from my soul and put it in this song
I Don’t Wanna Ride The Rails No More - a good ole hobo tale

The rest i could take ‘em or leave ‘em

I loved his last two albums and thought they were among his career best. This one is not bad, but it all blends together and doesn’t have any real high points. Probably my least favourite album of his since ‘The Key’
