After it had been announced that the tour was postponed and a few dates were canceled, news is starting to come out that the whole Romance Tour has been canceled. There has been no official statement yet from her camp yet. I checked Ticketmaster and some dates are showing that they are rescheduled and others are canceled, but there is no mention of many of the confirmed U.S. dates now. A fan posted this on Twitter earlier. not that I wanna talk about her, but this whole thing leaked and found its way into my YouTube recommendations.
I'm glad she isn't on the final version, this sounds much, much more vapid than the Maren Morris cut.

This isn’t bad at all, but still prefer Maren’s version. Wow, 3rd big hit she dropped (after Closer and God is a woman) "Same Old Love", too! "The Middle" was before "God is a woman." She was among the 15-ish different people that recorded a demo, including Tove Lo, Lauren Jauregui, Demi Lovato, Bebe Rexha, Charli XCX and more. Camila passed the opportunity because "Havana" was taking off (this would be late 2017). |

It's not an issue for me when an artist takes a song they didn't write and still own it with some personality or vocals, like Dua making "New Rules", Britney with 99% of her hits or even Whitney owning her entire catalogue of songs that she didn't write thanks to her amazing vocals. Miley didn't write "Wrecking Ball" but she still infused the song with her personality and story.
But "The Middle" is so faceless and generic that it hurts and none of the snippets and versions that leaked has changed that.
