This one gained 40 spins and 300k in total audience in today’s Mediabase update. Less than 60 spins separate Luke and Old Dominion but Combs is still 1.3 million ahead in audience and hasn’t fallen off at all this week. There’s just no room for either song to grow at their airplay levels and I think Luke will get #1 for a third week on both charts this week.
Sony isn’t losing sleep over it though since they’re promoting both songs. Old Dominion will be maxing for #1 again this upcoming week and will for sure get to #1 by then.

Fascinated to see what they do next.
Every Little Bit Helps and Reasons are the 2 biggest radio singles off the record I think.

“Better Together” is the gigantic hit off this record I think. Perfect for winter months too. I’d imagine we get that next, then something uptempo for summer.

I don’t know for sure but I got a feeling “Does to Me” is next. “Better Together” will be released at some point but they might hold off before releasing it.

As long as they don't go with "All Over Again" then I'm fine.

I was disappointed to see that "Every Little Bit Helps" was one of the worst performing songs of the record when it dropped (the only song that debuted lower from the album was "Angels Workin' Overtime") so I hope that doesn't deter them from releasing that as a future single, because I definitely think that's one of the best choices for radio on the album. Obviously anything he touches is going to be a smash at this point so it shouldn't matter much, but it's not the most promising indicator that on an album of 17 songs, it was the 16th most popular.
"Better Together," on the other hand, had by far the biggest splash from the non-singles when the album was released (it was the only one to chart on the Hot 100), so I'd be surprised if that one wasn't chosen at some point, but I think they'll go with it later in the album cycle.

I think that Moon Over Mexico would be good for radio and during these winter months. I do hope we see that become a single. In fact, I hope it goes something like this:
1. Beer Never Broke My Heart 2. Even Though I'm Leaving 3. Moon Over Mexico 4. Every Little Bit Helps (yes I know, it was the 16th best but still) 5. Better Together
I feel like Better Together would be a good final single, and I can see them going 5-deep with this record, considering that with the first album they went with that total, combining the standard and deluxe versions.

His first album actually went 5-deep, not 6. That said, I personally think with the album just having come out and with how fast his singles are climbing, I will be shocked if we don't at least get 6 singles from this record. I think he'll definitely be able to run through at least 4 more in the next 1-1.5 years, and I don't see new music coming from him until probably mid-2021 at the earliest.

Personally, I think "What You See Is What You Get" and "Refrigerator Door" are the biggest hits in waiting (though "Reasons" and "Every Little Bit Helps" are certainly solid choices as well). I'd be kind of disappointed if "Does To Me" gets released. It's a thoroughly enjoyable song, but it feels more like a Church song than a Combs song. I'm kind of surprised that they would consider releasing something as stripped down as Better Together, but I could definitely see it paying off it they did. It's not my personal favorite, but I'm always in favor more songs like that on the radio.

You know it's a special album when he could choose from about a dozen songs that would be great singles and likely #1 hits.

I’m glad this has spend a 3rd week at the top. I’m hoping “1,2 Many” is the next single, partly because it would give B&D another hit.

“What You See Is What You Get” is gaining some spins according to the Spincrease section on AllAccess.

"1,2 Many" needs to be released at some point this cycle. I love him with B&D. I think it would be bigger than "Beer Never Broke My Heart" ever was.

It looks like Thomas will be #1 again this week but I could even see this making it back to the top on BB if Thomas drops enough and Dustin doesn’t gain enough over the weekend.

ETIL was at #1 for 3 weeks; has there ever been a re-peak at the top spot before? That would be absolutely phenomenal if Luke pulled that off.

Any news of the next single? I think Better Together could be a good option.

My hopes for the next single are "Better Together" or "Moon Over Mexico." I believe both would do incredible at radio (a seemingly moot point as whatever he touches is a massive hit, but I believe these could possibly become BHC-level crossovers with radio, especially Better Together.)

Beautiful Crazy (which has even more hype before it is selected as a single) did not happen in other radio formats if I remember correctly, so I doubt Better Together will. Plus I don't think his vocals help with crossover.

What is BHC? indulge just told you, but it's "Before He Cheats," Carrie Underwood's most massive crossover single. A Top 10 hit on the BB Hot 100, Adult Top 40, Mainstream Top 40, and AC charts. And of course #1 at country for 5 weeks straight.

I don't see "Better Together" crossing over to those formats, and certainly not on the level that BHC did, but I do think it's obviously one of the fan favorites that would likely have the biggest impact from the remaining selections. I think it would be wise for him to save it until later in the album cycle though. I'd personally prefer something with a little more tempo next, like "1, 2 Many." The title cut from the record would also work and has apparently already been getting some unsolicited airplay so far. He can't really go wrong with anything on the record though, except maybe "Dear Today."

For the record, the first time it happened in the BDS Era (since January, 1990) is when Garth Brooks was tops with Ain't Going Down 'Til The Sun Comes Up for one week and then Tracy Byrd took over with Holdin' Heaven. Then Brooks retook the top spot. That happened in 1993.

Then there was the time that Toby Keith’s You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This and Diamond Rio’s One More Day went back and forth at #1 for 5 weeks I think it was. I don’t know that that will ever happen again.
