Wow..very surprised that there is no thread for this, one considering it was one of their huge hits in the 90s, and I don't see that many threads for their singles from that era apart from "Water Runs Dry". Anyhoo, this is one of my favorite singles from them.
I love this line:
"Can we go back to the days our love was strong? Can you tell me how a perfect love goes wrong? Can somebody tell me how to get things back The way they use to be? Oh God give me a reason I'm down on bended knee I'll never walk again until you come back to me I'm down on bended knee"
It went to #1 on the Hot 100 Airplay and spent #1 on the Hot 100 for 6 weeks. It also notably replaced "I'll Make Love To You" for the #1 song. It was the first time that an act had replaced itself at number one since the Beatles. The song was written by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
The video features Kim Fields, Renée Jones, Lark Voorhies, and Victoria Rowell.

Love this as much as "I'll Make Love To You", and that song is good as well.

I like it, but it's my least favorite single from II.

I like it well enough, but all these years later now.. when I listen to them, it's usually not their big crossover hits that I play.

Decent but not my favorite from them (I prefer "End of the Road", "Motownphilly", "Water Runs Dry", etc).

I like this. I remember it being used in the Tyler Perry film Nobody's Fool with Tiffany Haddish, Mehcad Brooks and others, in a very cringeworthy scene that, thankfully, didn't turn me off the song.
Boyz II Men as an act always confused me. They were big, actually not just big, they were massive, especially stateside, for nearly an entire decade... but then became complete flops afterwards. It's like audiences almost immediately abandoned them. WTF?!?

I love this. Love the intro, love their individual parts. Boyz II Men did absolutely no wrong for me in the 90's, and this was no exception. I'm a sucker for this kind of R&B, tho.

I was only 1 years old when this song was being played on 92.3 The Beat, Power 106 and Rhythm 102.3 KJLH back in 1994-1995.

Boring and worthless today like most of their big hits.
It was a good day for both R&B and Pop music when they were kicked to the curb.

All B2M hits from the 90s are classics. “No I don’t believe our love’s terminal . . .” is one of the best bridges ever.
