Yeah, I'm going to need help from Mr. Adrian C. on tanking a certain song. :sip2: I know most of these, and it's only 20 songs, so I'm definitely in. I'd be fine with "bad guy" or "Sunflower" or even "Sucker" or "Dancing With A Stranger" winning. That is about it (at least for songs with the tiniest of chances). My #1 will do well, but I'm sure it won't win. Why do I fear this is a song Gabe would agree in you tanking :( |

My list here will pretty much reflect what order I'll put the songs in the final year-end ranking, but some of the particulars were influenced by "was this really a summer-defining song or not". There are a significant number of songs here that lingered from earlier in the year that were docked points because of this.

IMO the songs of this summer mostly sucked or felt like leftovers from the previous spring or winter to the point where I didn't want to hear them
Truth Hurts being the main exception cause Lizzo is the queen we desperately needed and deserved

Sweet But psycho was a great songs and Iβm glad pop can still cross over.
Whiskey Glasses and Beer Never Broke My Heart are on the better side of bro-country...but thatβs not saying much
The Git Up just is another horrible school dance/wedding song and his voice is horrible.
Me! is one of the best songs this year yet itβs on the weaker side of the album. Just shows how much I am a fan of Lover and Taylor
