Max always gives Abel his best Material, they have such good chemistry together. Interesting how he dropped Circkut, he was all over Starboy & My Dear Melancholy. + I miss Daft punk being in this album tbh Yep, I definitely expected Kavinsky and Daft Punk to show up on the producer list. Less than 2 days folks

I was gonna say I'll stick to the original but...I ordered it and Amazon says they don't know when they will ship it (they pretty much have a ban on shipping non-essentials, including physical versions of albums) so I will check with Target to see if they receive it on Friday. Wouldn't surprise me if labels aren't shipping physical copies to stores right now either.

His streaming numbers should be strong though.

Does Scared to Live use an Elton John song? Yes. "Scared To Live" interpolates "Your Song" by Elton John, hence the reason why he and Bernie Taupin are getting writing credits in that song.

Can't wait to listen on Friday. "Blinding Lights" and "After Hours" are great records.

i wonder if there will be hidden features Apparently there might be a Tame Impala (pretty sure it's who it was) feature on Save Your Tears. No clue if that's true or not though.

I had such high hopes for this album, Blinding Lights and the song he performed on SNL are the only ones that I'll come back to. I am extremely disappointed, just so y'all know this sounds sonically like Heartless for most of the album...

Starboy had 4 (Rockin’, Love to lay, A lonely night , Ordinary Life) correct me if i’m wrong though True, I missed Ordinary life because Max isn't credited as a producer, but he IS indeed credited as a writer.

Ok I heard a snippet of “Save your tears” and “Too late” They both follow the 80s sound, but while the first is more poppy (reminded me of Words by FR David), the second one is more Heartless-ish but with synths and other 80s throwback elements.

The description on Apple Music is everything
"You can find love, fear, friends, enemies, violence, dancing, sex, demons, angels, loneliness, and togetherness all in the After Hours of the night.” —The Weeknd Ever since The Weeknd emerged in 2011 with the mysterious and mesmerizing House of Balloons, the Toronto native has kept us on our toes: There was a trio of druggy, lo-fi R&B mixtapes, the Top 40 cake-topper “Can’t Feel My Face,” and the glossy, Daft Punk-assisted rebirth that came with 2016’s Starboy. On After Hours, his fourth studio album, the singer returns to early-era Abel Tesfaye—the fragile falsetto, the smoky atmospheres, the whispered confessions. But here, they’re bolstered by some seriously brilliant beatmaking: muted, shuffling drum ’n’ bass (“Hardest to Love”), whistling sirens and staccato trap textures (“Escape From LA"), and flickers of French touch, warped dubstep, and Chicago drill that have been stretched and bent into abstractions. It’s as if Tesfaye spent the past four years scouring underground warehouse parties for rhythms that could make his low-lit R&B balladry feel hedonistic, thrilling, and alive. When the album does lift into moments of brightness, they’re downright radiant: “Scared to Live” is sweeping and sentimental, fit for the final scene in a romantic comedy, and “Blinding Lights”—a Max Martin-produced megahit boosted by a Mercedes-Benz commercial—is about as glitzy, glamorous, and gloriously ’80s as it gets.

I'm personally most anticipating "Escape From LA", that title is so bad@$$ and its length is near that of "After Hours"', which has been my favorite of the tracks released so far. The description for it also helps get me hyped up for it. I can't wait for this album!

Yeah I'm very excited for this album. I would be happy if he took it in the direction of any of the 3 songs that have been released, all are fantastic.

Blinding Lights was so instant, Heartless grew on me and I like After Hours was very interesting Hopefully this is more BBTM than Starboy/my dear melancholy

Anticipation is killing me especially if it's like old Weeknd. I guess I'm going to have to try to see if Target has this, since Amazon has no word on delivery.

Target has already been prepping their CD displays for 'After Hours' (at least where I live), it should be in their stores for customers to buy tommorow.

Things are changing on a day by day basis, if not quicker. There are times when Target doesn't get shipments of new CDs until the morning of (you would think they would have them in the night before at the VERY latest, but...) Additionally, I found out that Target stores are run like franchises. How, you ask? When I went to a local Target on a Friday AFTERNOON for a CD that came out that day (I believe the last time, it was Changes by Bieber), I was told, "Sorry, we don't get new releases until Tuesday or the following week at some point." I didn't even know this was possible, LOL.

What does this mean for consumption units? Weird that AM shares these numbers but never the actual streaming data.
