That Your Song interpolation on Scared to Live is SO CLICHÉ and unnecessary, I don't get it at all.

Scared to live, Hardest to love, In your eyes and Faith. The rest blends very well alltogether but nothing stands out for me

This is definitely most cohesive album. It's just so well-curated. He has a great ear for music and he's great at branding himself. He gets it. I really can't think of another artist that has grown on me so much over the years.

They are 100% going with Save your tears & Scared to live as the singles after In your eyes. They are the ones that are performing the best on itunes

This is really good, though it does get boring at some points.
The production is phenomenal and the lyrics are great though!
I'm completely ignoring Snowchild though lmao.

This must mean with pre-album consumption of the singles added? No way this will stream more than Uzi did with 18 tracks, he'll have whopping 300k worth of bundles or sth if pre-album consumption is not included.

Coukd have been a solid 10 track album. It's good but it blends together a lot for better or worse.

"save your tears" is the clear standout track for me. Other favorites include "too late" because of that instrumental outro which is absolutely amazing, "hardest to love", "faith", "in your eyes" and of course "after hours".

Coukd have been a solid 10 track album. Agreed. Cutting out the tracks I won't be using ("Escape from LA," "Heartless," "Faith," "After Hours") this makes for a great listen with zero skips. A good continuation of Starboy. He's amazing. Alongside Bruno, my favorite male artist to have debuted last decade.

"Escape From L.A." is so underrated. Where is the love for it ? I listened to it when I was drunk and it takes you on a journey.

Singles must go like this: 3rd- “In your eyes” to pop // “too late” for urban & rhythmic 4th- “Hardest to love” to all formats 5th-“Save your tears” to pop // “Faith” for urban & rhythmic 6th- “Scared to live” to all formats I'm not sure what songs can work at Urban honestly. "Heartless" was the most Urban leaning and it couldn't even go top 10 there. I don't see anything else on the album performing better on that format except maybe "Faith." I never considered "Scared to Live" a song that would be played on Urban, but I guess there's no harm in trying.

Love the album. My boy always repping Scarborough well. It's def a good blend of his moodier early work before his pop makeover and the synth pop sound he explored on his last album. "Save Your Tears" is that bitch. "Hardest to Love" too.

It's def a pop album, but I'm still digging it. He's been moving further and further away from urban with each album.

This album is interesting to me. Of all his mainstream albums, it has the most legitimate ties to his mixtape era. That said, I may prefer Starboy to this. The first 8 songs are flawless. The last two are self-indulgent and unnecessary. VERY well produced but he is unintelligible for most of the album. B+
1. After Hours 2. In Your Eyes 3. Blinding Lights 4. Save Your Tears 5. Faith 6. Heartless 7. Scared To Live 8. Too Late 9. Escape From LA 10. Snowchild 11. Hardest To Love (the production is messy AF, like...what is going on?! But, the feeling is there and it gives me sadboi vibes that I love, so I use. Lauv does it better though) 12. Alone Again 13. Until I Bleed 14. Repeat After Me
Edit: Not so fun story. After thinking the Amazon delivery would be delayed forever, I got a notification that it was arriving Sunday. Then, they moved it up to today. So, I got really high and drunk in preparation. I opened the door to the delivery locker and there was the packaging, open, with no CD in it. I realized that the only Target in my area was a $17 Uber ride but my phone charging cable starting smoking earlier after having issues for a while, so I figured I could justify the trip because the AT&T store in my complex is closed and I knew Target would have the cables. Well, I wound up getting the wrong cable! Plus, it's a shitshow rainstorm outside so...yeah. At least I like the album though!

I really like this album a lot. Too Late and Until I Bleed Out are the only tracks which haven't clicked too much with me (yet).

The second half of the album is where it starts to shine. It's a cohesive body of work with some great production. I'm not sure where I would place it in comparison to the rest of his albums.
My Highlights
Alone Again Faith Blinding Lights In Your Eyes Save Your Tears Repeat After Me (why wasn't this a full song?!) After Hours
Until I Bleed Out

The album bores me a bit, but there are some solid tracks. I enjoy the second half more than the first.
Ordered by tracklisting sequence:
Too Late Hardest To Love Scared To Live Heartless Faith Blinding Lights In Your Eyes Save Your Tears After Hours
Beauty, Starboy, and his mixtapes remain my favs.

Really loving the album. It’s been the soundtrack to my second physical distancing weekend (trying to make the best of it!). I ordered the CD from his website and it should come this week.
Highlights for me (the first 5 are 10/10):
Blinding Lights In Your Eyes Save Your Tears Hardest To Love Scared To Live After Hours Heartless Too Late
”In Your Eyes” is quickly becoming my favourite of his singles, period.

I listened to this last night and I really enjoyed it. The 80s synth pop production is on point. It’s really cohesive sonically speaking. I liked or loved each and every one of the songs.
