Chill worthy new song from Carly tonight on the Opry called Show You Around in honor of Busbee and him showing Carly around heaven in the future. The Opry uploaded a full version of Show You Around. 😭😭😭

New peak of #27 on the Hot 100. This one has definitely eclipsed "Every Little Thing" and replaced it as her 'definitive' hit (at least so far; who knows what the future holds). I think when this powers up to #1 on country radio it should come close to the top 20 on the Hot 100, too.

Had no idea the song was so popular and doing so well but I love to see it. Hoping it makes it to #1 and that an announcement of IWABLT as the next single follows shortly thereafter!

I'm ecstatic to see one of my favorite songs of the last year become such a smash hit. I've never been a very big fan of either artist, but both of them sound fantastic on this tune. Unpopular opinion, but I haven't really liked any of Carly's solo singles thus far (not a big fan of her voice), and Lee has always been hit or miss for me with a pretty average voice. But my goodness, they both sound fantastic here. This song really seems to suit Carly's voice, and Lee's vocals are mind-blowingly good on this one. The part where he comes in with "I'm a wreck, I'm a mess" gives me chills every time. You can just hear the heartbreak, anguish, and emotion in his voice on those lines.
I'm thinking this song could hold down the top spot for two weeks (especially if Big Machine and Curb go for it). It's so far ahead of Kenny and Scotty, and while Miranda, Sam, and especially Luke all have big hits on their hands, none of them are very close to Carly/Lee audience-wise yet.

I guess they really wanted the #1. The biggest spin increase in the top 50:

Looking back I wish the label would have opted for a mini double week push or maybe just let this hit #1 last week naturally and then push for #1 a second week.
It's a damn shame that country radio is so quick to drop this since it was such a big hit. Happy it hit #1 regardless but damn I wanted more.
As someone who doesn't really pay attention to the details of the Hot 100, does this song have a chance at the Year End All Genre Hot 100 on Billboard?

As someone who doesn't really pay attention to the details of the Hot 100, does this song have a chance at the Year End All Genre Hot 100 on Billboard? From what I’ve read in the chart discussions, it looks like this is comfortably locked for the year end Hot 100.

That would be a very odd move given how so few women get to release a second album, you’d think they’d want to support it more. Maybe they have something undeniable? I hope if they do move on it’s something fantastic because the album has some really strong single options. Also all her comments about Michael did nothing but make me more suspicious that there’s something going on between them. She had a lot of “I think”s haha

Oh nooooo. Moving on from this album so soon seems like a mistake. I got why they did it with the first album because she just didn't have the momentum for a third single there, but realistically, this was like the album's lead single since "Closer to You" whiffed, so this would be way too soon imo. In a time when some artists are slowing down their musical output because of COVID-19 and such, it would be odd for her to do the opposite and rush into a third era when the label could milk the current project for *at least* another year.
I really hope they aren't thinking about doing this because of that "Show You Around" song she recently debuted on the Opry. I'm sure the studio version would be much better, but I didn't really care for that one much based on her performance of it, and I'd rank at least half this album as being more radio-worthy than it. "It Won't Always Be Like This" has career hit written all over it, and I'll be so sad if they don't let it see the light of day, let alone not even releasing another single from the album at all.

I've missed a lot here...so glad to see this song hit #1!!! It was so well-deserved and it's about time Carly scored hit #2. As for a new project...Carly what the hell are you doing? You've got at least 2 career songs on this current record! "It Won't Always Be Like This," "Dashboard Jesus," and "Heart's Going Out of Its Mind" all deserve the light of day! The new song better be something Grammy-worthy if it's really worth cutting this era short. And as for Michael...I hope nothing happened between them; that would make "Finish Your Sentences" awkward to listen to.

I honestly think it’ll be a mistake to move on. It Won’t Always Be Like This has serious potential to be a career-defining hit.
If they do want to move on soon, I say to cut the era after three singles instead of four, and make sure to let IWABLT has its moment.

The album didn’t tank and there are some absolute hits on this. Maybe it’s just a deluxe version of the album? The world needs IWABLT. Come on Big Machine.

The lyrics don't mention the pandemic of course, it was written beforehand. But I think it'd be nice to hear a reminder that "hey, whatever hard times you're going through, as hard as the times we're all going through are, just remember that it won't always be like this." It'd be a drastic mistake to give this song the shaft.

I echo the sentiments that IWABLT not getting a proper release would be a huge disappointment but it sounds like she's mentally ready to move into the next phase of her career post-busbee which is also totally understandable.

Ugh. I get why she wants to move on. Sometimes after a breakup and death of someone close, you just need to have a fresh start. I would know, it happened to me in March, and I've been slowly healing. Ironically, IWABLT was one of the songs on my healing playlist and has helped me to get through so much in March and even now during the pandemic and the recent movement.
Either way, if she does choose to move on entirely from the era, I just hope that whatever's next is as strong and worthy as IWABLT. I've never felt so strongly about a song's chances in a very long time and still do think she should give it a shot before moving on entirely...

I think IWABLT still would be a perfect choice. I’m sure her heart is just breaking right now, and that song as you said could bring healing. But completely understanding wanting to move on.

I honestly haven't even gotten around to listening to her self titled yet! Feels way too soon, especially when she just had possibly the biggest hit of her career. And I was just pointing out to a friend yesterday all these successful country girls with lesser successful husband's. Guess Carly's off the list.
