Third most added song with 48 adds and 49 total stations for add week. Very impressive! "Getting Good" is also Lauren Alaina's most added song in her career (second highest was "Next Boyfriend" with 44 adds).
Very great start for this song and I am feeling optimistic about this songs chances out the gate. Excited to see how this song does, and hopefully "Getting Good" can at least make the Top 30.

Ooh, exciting! Hopefully it's not just another fluke.

The other two songs above this (Dan + Shay/JB and Carly Pearce/Lee Brice) both received radio deals -- I would say 48 adds is very impressive.

I've got a good feeling about this based on those first-week adds. Really rooting for her to get another hit again, and I definitely think going with a more downtempo song like this was a smart move for her.

Debuts on Hot Country Songs at #43 and Country Digital Song Sales at #5, both of her two highest debuts on those charts since "Like My Mother Does" (aided by some serious Idol promo). 7,000 first-week sales. Off to a great start.

Barefoot and Buckwild debuted at #34 on Hot Country Songs, and Next Boyfriend at #39. They only peaked at #25 and #22 respectively on the Country Digital Sales chart though, so that #5 is really impressive.

How is it that those other singles could debut so high on HCS yet rank so low on Digital Sales? I figure that airplay plays no factor in the HCS ranking at this point considering the singles are released digitally well before their add date.

I figure that airplay plays no factor in the HCS ranking at this point considering the singles are released digitally well before their add date. Actually, I think it's because in 2013 it was basically JUST radio and sales, so strong sales could lead to a big debut, but now we have streams in the mix, and sales keep getting lower. Now sales don't matter that much if you compare them to streams. Like, Barefoot and Buckwild was #25 on the digital with 18,000 sold, and now Getting Good is #5 but with 7,000. So the impact of sales on the chart was a lot bigger. So you can take the radio out of the equation, but even with Getting Good selling that well, streams probably hold it back.

Also with crossover or songs that are very loosely country songs on the chart ("The Git Up", "One Thing Right", "Heartless), it is naturally harder to make it high on the chart just based on sales

“The Other Side” is absolutely phenomenal. It’s like she wrote this for me.... instant tears upon the first listen, this girl is a fucking prodigy.

She used it in her Dancing With The Stars perfmance tonight which was just heartbreaking.
And to no one surprised, The Other aside is now flying up the iTunes Charts. It’s up nearly 100 spots in the last 20 minutes to the top 50 all genre

It’s up nearly 100 spots in the last 20 minutes to the top 50 all genre #10 all-genre and #4 Country on iTunes this morning. That combined with the Billboard debut two weeks after impact, she is sure doing alright.

Oh gosh, I hope not. I understand why people like it, but this song is not for me. I have liked almost every single she has released, but I really hope this is only a promo song.

I don’t know, it just gives me the same feelings as Carrie Underwood’s song “Kingdom”, and Scotty McCreery’s “Five More Minutes.” It hits you right in the feels. I know the odds of this becoming a single are slim, especially since Getting Good has just been sent to radio, but I’m glad Lauren recorded this song and shared her story with the world.

Getting Good is more than good, but The Other Side...simply incredible. Her best song imo. It's my favorite of hers, and that performance on DWTS was great and seems to have done the job on the charts. Well-deserved.

The Other Side is actually much better than this. I think that could have also been a single for her.

I am feeling really optimistic about this songs prospects.
There's a lot of songs ahead of Lauren Alaina that should be on their way out the charts in the next month at the latest especially on Billboard, (Dierks Bentley, Chris Lane, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks/Blake Shelton, Dylan Scott,King Calaway) and songs that I think have at least an 80% chance of not making it to the holiday freeze (all of the songs in the Top 5, Miranda Lambert, Jimmie Allen, Midland, Ryan Hurd, Travis Denning, Scotty McCreery, Trisha Yearwood, and LoCash).
Also at least this week "Getting Good" is one of only three current radio promoted singles to be in the Top 50 for the Spincrease on All Access despite the chart being so cluttered and not in the Mediabase Top 50 (the other two being Craig Morgan "The Father My Son and The Holy Ghost" and Chris Young "Drowning).
Things are definitely looking up for this song and I really hope the label isn't tempted by the great sales of "The Other Side" because I feel like this is a much safer radio single than that song (I like both songs just fyi).

The song's alright. But given her past chart failures (except Road Less Traveled) I don't see how this song stands a chance. She has had so much better.

Up to #55 on BB. Nice gains.
"The Other Side" also debuted at #8 on Country Digital Sales.

Hey y'all. Just wanted to ask for you to vote for Lauren at the Dancing With the Stars finale on Monday. She's working super hard and she deserves it. It can be nice to her career too (who knows?). She needs every help she can get.

So I'm seeing her in a concert in December, SUPER stoked.
"Getting Good" is another solid release from Lauren Alaina, hopefully it can become at least a minor hit - she's been shafted way too much by country radio.

Solid music video for the unbelievably low bar that she has set with her past ones. This is probably her 2nd best one after "Next Boyfriend."
