I just realized Nightmare & now it seems Graveyard have never surpassed Without Me during their chart runs. Pushing her album release so far after WM's success is one of the biggest mistakes of any Pop star this decade. I don't see that album doing better than 200K SPS, with or without bundles. Every other single she's dropped after Without Me has done nothing and I hear she plans on dropping two more singles before the album drops. One of them, Clementine, has already dropped. It's worth noting that she isn't including Nightmare on the forthcoming album (a mistake because Nightmare, regardless of it's performance, is a great song). 200k SPS is very, very generous. I feel like she already squandered her Without Me hype by dropping such a bombastic, overtly political song as the follow up (and I agree it's a great song btw, but it totally isolated a lot of people). I see her doing like 120k-140k if she doesn't get another hit before her album drops.

Maroon 5's 'Memories' Debuts on Hot 100 as Group's 15th Consecutive Top 40 Single 9/30/2019 by Xander Zellner
The song launches at No. 22. Maroon 5 makes its 22nd visit to the Billboard Hot 100's top 40, as the group's new single "Memories" arrives at, fittingly, No. 22 on the chart dated Oct. 5.
The song is Maroon's first release since "Girls Like You," featuring Cardi B, which spent seven weeks atop the Hot 100 beginning last September. Including "Memories," Maroon 5's last 15 radio-promoted singles have reached the top 40, dating to "Moves Like Jagger" in 2011.
Following its release on Sept. 20, the new track debuts at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart with 27,000 downloads sold in the week ending Sept. 26, according to Nielsen Music. It also drew 9.7 million U.S. streams and 19.6 million in all-format radio reach (and bounds 20-14 on the Adult Pop Songs airplay chart and 37-25 on Pop Songs).
Maroon 5 now boasts five Digital Song Sales No. 1s, tying The Black Eyed Peas for the most among duos/groups. Taylor Swift leads all acts with 18 No. 1s.
Here's a look at all 22 of Maroon 5's top 40 Hot 100 hits, sorted by peak position:
Rank, Title, Peak Date No. 1, "Makes Me Wonder," May 12, 2007 No. 1, "Moves Like Jagger," feat. Christina Aguilera, Sept. 10, 2011 No. 1, "One More Night," Sept. 29, 2012 No. 1, "Girls Like You," feat. Cardi B, Sept. 29, 2018 No. 2, "Payphone," feat. Wiz Khalifa, May 26, 2012 No. 2, "Sugar," March 28, 2015 No. 3, "Animals," Nov. 22, 2014 No. 5, "This Love," April 24, 2004 No. 5, "She Will Be Loved," Sept. 25, 2004 No. 6, "Maps," Aug. 9, 2014 No. 6, "Don't Wanna Know," feat. Kendrick Lamar, Feb. 18, 2017 No. 7, "Daylight," Feb. 23, 2013 No. 9, "What Lovers Do," feat. SZA, Nov. 25, 2017 No. 10, "Love Somebody," Aug. 17, 2013 No. 14, "Misery," Oct. 9, 2010 No. 16, "Cold," feat. Future, April 1, 2017 No. 18, "Harder to Breathe," Nov. 1, 2003 No. 19, "Wake Up Call," Oct. 6, 2007 No. 22, "Memories," Oct. 5, 2019 No. 23, "This Summer's Gonna Hurt…," June 20, 2015 No. 24, "Wait," June 9, 2018 No. 31, "Sunday Morning," Feb. 26, 2005
"Memories" is Maroon 5's 30th total Hot 100 entry. The other acts with exactly 30? Christina Aguilera, Luke Bryan, Cardi B, Nat King Cole, Lady Gaga, The Jacksons, Roy Orbison, The Spinners, Neil Sedaka and Tyga. The Glee Cast leads with 207, followed by Drake with 205.
Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is credited as the sole producer of "Memories" and co-wrote it with Michael Pollock, Jon Bellion, Jordan K. Johnson, Stefan Johnson and JKash.

No matter what, whether you like them or not. Maroon 5's longevity is incredible, they will probably be doing substantial numbers well into the 2020's if soccer mom's keep buying. No other early 2000's artist is still doing this good, with the exception of P!nk, Beyonce and Eminem. But they don't get radio hits anymore compared to Maroon 5.

I think this could definitely debut at #1 since it'll probably have massive streams (especially with it featuring Lil Baby) and possibly decent sales thanks to physical copies being sold on his website.

So it's been 8 years, almost entirely propped up by radio.

And streaming was instrumental in making a multi-week #1 hit out of "Girls Like You". It was just Youtube instead of Spotify.

Come on now, anything that gets huge radio play does well on sales as sure as night follows day. Their only streaming prowess is through shitty gimmicky videos like sugar and girls like you. Fuck em.

Hello all - long time listener, first time caller...
Does anyone think Mariah might actually have a chance at hitting #1 on the Hot 100 this year (or maybe the first week of 2020) with "All I Want for Christmas is You"? Are we aware of any late December/early January possible competition?
EDIT: I'm brand new to these forums -- I started this post a few minutes ago as a new thread but it keeps automatically tacking itself to the the end of this unrelated one -- any ideas of why/how this is happening? Thanks!

And "Independent Woman Part I", from the previous Charlie's Angels film series. And even "Lady Marmalade", which was never a favorite of mine, but it at least showcased all ladies much better. "The Boy Is Mine" being covered today would be amazing I can't imagine what would happen if Rihanna and Beyonce covered that song in 2008

She virtually hit #1 in every European country for Christmas 2018 It will likely make the decade chart for 2020s if it continues racking up 3-4 weeks in the top 10 per year

I believe the ship date is close to the last tracking week this could peak at num.1. It sounds like the label and maybe MiMi are going for it. Oh and she's already promoting her Christmas stuff on her social media accounts.

+ Christmas is on a Wednesday this year, so she'll be getting streams for nearly the whole tracking week instead of her streams getting cut off mid week.

Don't get me wrong I like Truth Hurts, it's a jam, but its days at #1 are definitely numbered. All its metrics are relatively low now and it's just languishing there, vulnerable for anything to pounce on it.
Travis's new song could do it, he's huge obviously, but it depends on whether people like the song and if it's savilly-marketed (the plan to release it in different physical formats is a creative, old-school approach that people might buy into). Adele could also surely annihilate things right away. I'm also thinking Someone You Loved could eek a week or two up there if nothing else huge comes out - months ago I would've never thought it would reach #3, and it shot up there very quickly after entering the top 10.

Hell, if such a song was randomly released by them tomorrow it would SMASH. Nonetheless, yes, Lord knows the extent it would go if released ten years ago.

Sometimes I feel the way the Internet use Soccer Mom is so condescending but oh well I think dismissing Maroon Five's string of hits as something only appealing to the so-called soccer mom demographic is myopic. They definitely appeal to various generations (didn't they get some award at Teen's Choice a few years back) and had been the key for their longevity in pop music relevancy.

I'm gonna take a wait and see approach with Travis, regarding any chances to go #1. He obviously leveled up to the A-List with "SICKO MODE" and ASTROWORLD, but that's still his only massive single. I mean we all thought "Circles" and/or "Goodbyes" would be easy #1 hits on debut week and...
