meant to do this a few weeks ago but i'm gonna bring in a YE update!!

-at the moment, under the projected point cutoff, 10 songs have clenched a 2021 YE top 40 position (700 points)
-songs #11-17 are right on the cusp of the top 40 (500 or 600 points). however, only two of these will be able to clench it next week.
-under the same point cutoff system, 7 songs have passed the projected top 30 cutoff (900 points). however, no song has passed the projected top 20 cutoff yet
-the #1 currently has 1250 points, and the entire top 5 has at least 1000 points. as stated earlier, the top 7 has at least 900 points (and 800 points too, for that matter), and the top 10 has at least 700 points

if we were to use the same YE thresholds as 2020's was, then only the top 7 would've locked a YE top 40 position, and only the current #1 would've clenched a top 30 position so far lmao

ok so the reasoning as to why this chart is so late will require a little bit of explaining

i'm gonna be 100% honest, i feel burned out. i've been making a chart every single week for the past 3 years with no breaks in between, going back to even my old deleted account (and yes in the interim between me leaving pulse in mid 2018 and rejoining in late 2019 i did continue to make these charts every week). and now that i have school + a blog i just started, most of my interest has gone into that, while my interest in making a chart every week has started to fade. it's way more time consuming for me than you think lol, it takes roughly an hour every week. with that, i want to announce what my plans are for this chart:

i will finish the 2021 chart year and put out the year-end list, and after that i'm putting this on indefinite hiatus. i may come back if i ever get a renewed interest in making a personal chart, but if i do, it'll be a fresh start, with a fresh chart history, fresh records, etc (mainly bc when i started this i kinda just made up a random ass chart history and i was too lazy to go back and make it accurate so it kinda just stuck like that lmao). at the same time, i might never do this again after i go on indefinite hiatus. i'm sorry if this is disappointing, but i'm really starting to get sick of doing this lol.
