Safe bet debuts:
Light’s Out - Harry Styles Kinfolks - Sam Hunt What You See Is What You Get - Luke Combs
Toss up:
Easy - Camilla Cabello (damn, she’s really over saturating herself isn’t she) Twisted - French Montana, A$AP Rocky, Juicy J, Logic All Dat - Moneybagg Yo, Megan Thee Stallion Something from Lil Tjay, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, or Waterparks albums
Unlikely but still possible:
Walking - 88rising, Jackson Wong, Joji, Major Lazer, Swae Lee How It’s Done - ALMA, Kash Doll, Kim Petras, Stefflon Don Big Stepper - Roddy Rich Something from YK Osiris or Wale
There are obviously some more, but I really doubt the rest will impact the charts in any sort of way if Original Me charts and I Think I’m Ok didn’t, I’ll definitely not be ok

With the amount of hype behind Lights Up on social media I'm expecting a pretty big debut on Spotify.

Lights Up is #1 on US itunes now. I wish we'd stop announcing this like a #1 on iTunes means anything these days. Especially with iTunes now being scrapped.

iTunes has traditionally - even this year - been a far greater barometer of what longterm commercial mainstream hits are (and will be) than many streaming services. So while the points are neglibible, it's still an important litmus test. Not like the Retail Sales chart post 2000.

*Insert obligatory post about how Rihanna and Adele haven't released anything*
Ok, with that out of the way, carry on.

So while the points are neglibible, it's still an important litmus test. Not like the Retail Sales chart post 2000. There are instances where an artist drops a new single which flies to #1 on iTunes for a few hours only to crash before the first 24 hours of it's release. I'm mostly saying iTunes #1's mean nothing because no one does massive figures in digital sales anymore and a song that stays at #1 on US iTunes for an entire tracking week might pull just 20-25K units. Even albums that reach #1 on US iTunes still pull really low figures at the end of a tracking week. I don't think it matters nearly as much as it used to.

Just last week that bts member track debuted around 80s even tho hitted itunes #1.

We’ll have to see how the new Adele single perform in an era where streaming is everything. When she released Hello, streaming was growing but sales did kinda matter too in 2015.

On Chill will probably reach a new peak this week thanks to Wale's album release. If it peaks in the top 20 while never reaching the top 200 on Spotify, I will be very impressed.

Um, iggyamo, you should correct the spelling of the thread title. It says "Hit" when it should be "Hot".

Yeah but even then she crushed it on streaming, Hello peaked with 2.7 million streams on Spotify in 2015, that's probably equivalent to 5 million today.

Adele's first day on Spotify is gonna be insane, she'll for sure do 10 million+ worldwide. I think she could pull good numbers in the US too, maybe 4.5 million. I don't expect her to have great longevity on streaming however.

Hello had the 1M sales which broke the single sales week record of Right Round by 400K lol Glad she was able to do that 1 million digital single sales before sales collapsed.
I dunno what to expect with her streaming this time around, so much has changed in 4 years! Taylor Swift ended her 1M+ album debut sales week this year so Adele is the only blockbuster star left we have yet to see how she could do with streaming as the main force and sales nearly dead. It's so different now but who knows maybe it could click. Someone You Loved is the last song I expected to be in the Spotify Top 10, so there's a chance an Adele ballad could connect in streaming

2 million Spotify debut for Harry Styles, very likely he's looking at a top 15 debut if it holds steady. Highest in the Room decreased by around 110k streams despite it being a Friday, and it likely won't reach 2 million again after the Saturday and Sunday decreases.

The drop for HITR is going to be pretty harsh whether it's from #1 or #2.
