Hey guys, I think I'd like to start doing some reviews here and I'm gonna start with a YE list
I used to do reviews on blogger but that kind of got boring/time-consuming and I like the format here on pulse better to be honest
So here are the years I'm considering since im familiar with most/all of the music, just to start off I picked some pretty recent years
You can vote up to 3 times for a year you'd be interested in seeing my ranked list with thoughts on every song for
lmk if you're interested in this and want to be tagged

Matt's Top 100 Hits Of The Decade
Hello, all!
I've wanted to do some reviews here for some time, and I decided I wanted to compile a list of what I consider to be some of the best mainstream offerings of the decade.
I was considering doing a no holds barred, any song eligible list, but there are so many songs I loved this decade it would be difficult to pick just a few.
So yeah, rules are pretty simple. The song had to be on a Hot 100 Year-End List from 2010-2019, and that's pretty much it.
I'll give some Honorable mentions here first:
HM #1: Khalid - Location (2017)
HM #2: Sheck Wes - Mo Bamba (2019)
HM #3: Tove Lo - Habits (Stay High) (2014/15)
HM #4: The Weeknd - Earned It (2015) HM #5: Trey Songz - Slow Motion (2015)
HM #6: OneRepublic - Love Runs Out (2014)
HM #7: PSY - Gangnam Style (2012/13)
HM #8: Lil Wayne - How To Love (2011)
HM #9: Young Money/Lloyd - BedRock (2010)
HM #10: DJ Snake/AlunaGeorga - You Know You Like It (2015)

HM #11: Calvin Harris/Ellie Goulding - I Need Your Love (2013)
HM #12: Elle King - Ex's And Oh's (2015/16)
HM #13: Fun. - Some Nights (2012/13)
HM #14: Post Malone/Young Thug - Goodbyes (2019)
HM #15: Lil Baby/Drake - Yes Indeed (2018)
HM #16: Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out (2016)
HM #17: Usher/Pitbull - DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love (2010/11)

Here we are: The actual list! I will reveal 5 songs per post, giving short thoughts on each one until the top 20 or so, where I will elaborate a bit more.
100. YG/Jeezy/Rich Homie Quan - My Gravey (2014)
The DJ Mustard era is hated on entirely too much. While I wouldn't call this an amazing song, it's a simple, west coast banger with great production. Rich Homie Quan's hook is iconic to be honest, and Jeezy's verse over the pounding beat is one of the closest we got to gangster rap with this decade's hits.
99. Rich Homie Quan - Flex (Ooh, Ooh Ooh) (2015)
I'm not calling this a phenomenal song or anything, but like the last song, this one also gets far too much hate. This song is just so much fun, the beat is simple but perfectly exciting, and Quan's style of sing-rapping really works for this song. I often play this song when I want to get hyped because honest to god, this song simply makes me happy. I don't have any critical analysis or anything for this or the last song, as these are mainly included because they are fun bangers, not amazing musically. So yeah songs can make this list on both criteria, whether I think it's a fantastic song or it's just one of my favorites.
98. Thomas Rhett - Marry Me (2018)
Lower that I thought I would put this. While I don't love this as much as I once did, I still must acknowledge that this is a beautiful song. The corny dumbass Thomas Rhett actually made himself likable and even pitiable, as we all know, he spits a heartbreaking tune about the pain of seeing his love marry someone else. Musically this is simple but effective. Good tune.
97. Mike Posner - Cooler Than Me (2010)
This is a banger and the beat is insane and I will not hear anything against this song, it's awesome! Mike Posner is loaded with a fun personality and charm and this really shows it, definitely overhated.
96. Meek Mill/Drake - Going Bad (2019)
Was once my favorite song like last year. Don't love it as much now, but I can acknowledge the crazy good beat and the hype I got from these two squashing their beef was unreal. Banger through and through.

Continuing! Here we go...
95. Kesha - Tik Tok (2010)
This is a jam that is mostly here for nostalgic effect. It's not amazing, and while I prefer a couple other Kesha songs from this era, this is the most replayable for me. A ton of fun.
94. Coldplay - Adventure of A Lifetime (2016)
Mostly here for the sick guitar lick, but the ambient atmosphere created by this song is out of this world. One of my favorites at the time when this was popular.
93. Ariana Grande/The Weeknd - Love Me Harder (2015)
Well s**t, an Ariana Grande song showed up here. I don't usually like her very much but this is easily her best hit imo, fantastic vocals in the verses paired with a bombastic chorus that is an earworm to this day. The Weeknd also has a very solid verse here, I'm glad this helped put him on the map.
92. Tory Lanez - LUV (2016)
I enjoy Tory Lanez as a singer as well as a rapper, and this is a great example of an r&b/hip-hop fusion that was popular around 2016. I love this song's beautiful production and relatable lyrics about young love, Tory really hit the mark this time. And yes his other hit will make an appearance on this list.
91. Waka Flocka Flame/Roscoe Dash/Wale - No Hands (2011)
This song is f**king banger, a shame that Hard in the Paint wasn't bigger but I will absolutely take this one. My favorite element is probably the horn based production, but Roscoe Dash really delivers here with a hook for the ages and a solid verse here. Waka is great as always, yes Wale is here but that doesn't detract from this too much. Still a stupid fun club banger.

Guess who's back, back again Let's do another set of 5, shall we?
90. Drake - 0 To 100/Catch Up (2014)
Back To Back is probably the more popular Drake trap banger pick for a list such as this one, but I must say, I prefer this one and here it is up at #90. It's over 6 minutes long with two parts to it and yet it manages to be compelling through and through, with the hypnotic beat and energetic rapping on "0 to 100" and the more low key "Catch Up" where Drake raps about his fame and people hating him at the top, pretty standard content for them. The transition from the hype first half to the relaxing and introspective second half is spectacular and one of the best things Drake has done in a while; solid track.
89. Portugal. The Man - Feel It Still (2017/18)
The 2010s was certainly light on alternative crossovers that....were actually good, but this one stands out as one of my favorites. The appeal is obvious from the start: the bass is pounding and irresistibly catchy, the falsetto is used perfectly on this track, it's groovy as hell; it's nothing special lyrically, it can be annoying at times, but it earns a spot here simply because it is catchy as hell, despite being pretty dumb.
88. Bryson Tiller - Don't (2016)
Obviously the lesser Bryson Tiller song on this list, but still a super chill r&b/trap mashup that Tiller is known for with a great instrumental and fantastic vocals. Lyrically it may be a bit questionable, but when a song just sounds this good it is easy to ignore: one of the best vibe tracks of the decade and an easy go-to hit.
87. Sia - Elastic Heart (2015)
Fantastic pop tune with a bombastic chorus from Sia, a catchy instrumental, whatever those vocal samples/chants are in the beginning hype up the track even more, nothing but praise for this one. Just not one I return to all the time.
86. Lil Nas X/Billy Ray Cyrus - Old Town Road (2019)
This one is easy to love: one of the most interesting hits of the year and a country-trap fusion that was broken into the mainstream big-time this year. The track is catchy as hell, Lil Nas X's rapping is simple but perfect for a stupid fun song like this one, Billy Ray's inclusion is honestly fantastic and unexpected; but most of all, this song was a huge event, was inescapably everywhere, and was something that everyone could enjoy. It used to annoy me but I am glad this got so popular this year.

85. Luke Combs - One Number Away (2018)
This is a cool song; strong songwriting, a really catchy hook, nice vocals, overall a strong country track. Very little to say about this one, simply a sweet song.
84. Miguel - Adorn (2012/13)
Vibezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
83. N.E.R.D/Rihanna - Lemon (2018)
This is off the walls bonkers, the vocal sample is hype af, Rihanna and Pharrell spit incredible verses, the production is great, a fun as hell song that I'm glad was a hit.
82. Justin Timberlake/Jay-Z - Suit and Tie (2013)
Man, it's a shame that this song doesn't get more love. The horn lines in the production are super catchy, Justin sounds slick and groovy as hell, the chorus is memorable and fun, Jay-Z has a good verse, total package for a catchy dance tune.
81. Offset/Metro Boomin - Ric Flair Drip (2018)
One of Metro Boomin's best beats period on a great trap album, which mostly carries the entire song. Offset does have some of his best flows of the entire project on this track; a great trap banger through and through. A shame Ghostface Killers wasn't the bigger hit however.

Hey nice thread Matt! Just saw this, also was thinking of the same thing for my decade end list being based on hot 100 YE as well, so it's cool to see someone doing it, especially with more urban taste than me lol.
Please tag me in the future, I'm interested in seeing your list!

80. Rich Gang/Young Thug/Rich Homie Quan - Lifestyle (2014)
I respect this song for starting off the career of Young Thug, as many others do, but this song still gets far too much hate. The beat is great and Thug raps well, the chorus is memorable and irresistibly catchy, Quan provides a good verse, the track is fun to rap along to, etc. While it may not be the most polished of trap songs, the most upbeat or accessible, it still remains as one of my favorites.
79. Gavin DeGraw - Not Over You (2012)
This one is difficult to write because it's hard to justify why I like this song as much as I do, especially since it's not the type of music I usually enjoy/listen to. Gavin DeGraw usually brings his brand of adult alternative pop music to the table, and I did enjoy his previous hits, but I was taken aback by this one. It has a pretty by-the-numbers piano line, but DeGraw sounds fantastic over it. I find to actually be one of this song's main strengths, as it blends really well with the vocals on both the verses and the bombastic, exciting chorus. I love how the songs just explodes into the hook, I really like the writing and the somber, heartbreaking tone, honestly one of my favorite pop tunes in this spectacular year.
78. Lady Gaga - The Edge of Glory (2011)
Actually, this is probably my favorite Lady Gaga song. An amazing chorus is the main strength, but it's overall just a really good pop song. I can see why everyone and their mother loves this one.
77. Billie Eilish - Bad Guy (2019)
What's not to love here? Pounding bass, eerie synth line after the drop, creepy vocals that perfectly fit the vibe of the track and the song, and an insane breakdown at the end that is disturbing yet ridiculously hard all together. F**king banger.
76. J. Cole/Miguel - Power Trip (2013)
Off of one of J.Cole's best projects came his best hit song (although it's a shame Crooked Smile didn't make one of these lists). Miguel's vocals are beautiful, J.Cole's sung and rap portions of the track are very smooth and vibey, the whole song creates a very relaxing atmosphere and a great love song to boot. A shame J.Cole has pretty much turned to s**t.

75. Kesha - Die Young (2012/13)
This is here for pretty much the same reason as Tik Tok: I always enjoyed Kesha's early 2010's brand of trashy club music and this is the perfect example of that, and one of my favorite songs from her. The song continually builds up to the bumping chorus and the wild drop and instrumental, and while the verses may be supbar, it's to be expected from a song like this. People are here for a fun chorus and a danceable beat, and this delivers. From this era of music which I mostly didn't like, this was a clear standout.
74. Calvin Harris/Frank Ocean/Migos - Slide (2017)
While I may not love this song as much as I did in the summer when it was popular, returning to it for my amazing race judging made me realize that this song still f**king goes....everyone knows why this song is loved. Frank Ocean's smooth vocals work well with Calvin's summer-instrumental, Offset has a great verse, even Quavo doesn't f**k it up and enhances the track with his slick auto-tuned vocals. Great summer jam.
73. Drake - Over (2010)
This beat is fantastic, Drake delivers some of his best verses on this track, his vocals on the sung portions are great, it's the total package and what more of Thank Me Later should have been like.
72. Tyga/Offset - Taste (2018)
Not a popular pick, but no song will take me back to the summer of 2018 like this one (and another song that is yet to be revealed). The beat is infectious as hell, Tyga's flow is simple yet irresistibly catchy, Offset also has a good verse; the main appeal of this is to be a catchy, even low-key summer jam and it totally works for me.
71. The Weeknd - Call Out My Name (2018)
While I definitely prefer The Hills, this track off of Abel's recent EP shows where he thrives best: under dark, heavy production with haunting yet beautiful vocals with, like the Hills, a spectacular and powerful chorus that defines the track. This song also has powerful lyrics about one of his past relationships, and really allows you to take a trip inside his mind. Great tune.

Hi all, I'm back with a set of 10 songs this time. Here we go..... 70. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis/Eric Nally - Downtown (2015)
While this may have shrunk on me a bit, and while yes, this is Macklemore and a pretty corny song about buying a f**king moped of all things, still a pretty dope track. The safety dance piano line carries the track, the chorus is powerful, the verses are fun yet cheesy which i guess is a lot of Macklemore's brand; this whole track feels larger than life and was one of my favorites upon its release.
69. Juice WRLD - Lucid Dreams (2018/19)
Emo sad boi vibes This song is actually not that good lyrically but I listened to it a lot when it was popular and that sweet guitar line (although it is sampled) can hit at certain times. Cool tune.
68. Ed Sheeran - The A Team (2013)
Beautiful track with a really sincere performance from Ed Sheeran of all people (I did like this project as a whole, just not his current music), the songwriting is some of his best. What else can I say about this one, it's really sweet.
67. Fetty Wap - Trap Queen (2015)
One of the first rap songs I ever liked of course had to make a spot on this list. From the moment the beat kicks in and Fetty begins ad-libbing, we're definitely in for a hype track: despite his short shelf life he did perfect his sound over his few hits and this is a good example of that: a simple trap banger filled with catchy melody lines with his unique delivery.
66. Desiigner - Panda (2016)
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrroh
65. Miguel/Travis Scott - Sky Walker (2018)
Vibezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
64. DJ Khaled/Ludacris/T-Pain/Snoop Dogg/Rick Ross - All I Do Is Win (2010)
Hypeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
63. Taylor Swift - Style (2015)
Ok i'm sorry I'll actually talk about this song though. One of Taylor's consensus best for a reason: this has a super catchy chorus, the verses are really fun, she sounds great blah blah blah you've heard it before. Quintessential pop sound, super charismatic, well-written, the whole package.
62. Tinashe/ScHoolboy Q - 2 On (2014)
f**king banger, tHis one is. THe beat goes super Hard, easily one of Mustard's best, and TinasHe's vocals are incredibly smootH. SHe totally works on tHis type of song, altHougH I did enjoy some of Her songs submitted for WTM recently as well. Q also Has a cool verse (tHougH it's a sHame that His appearances on tHese lists are features and not like, Collard Greens or tHat part)
61. Walk The Moon - Shut Up And Dance (2015)
A whole lot of fun, bombastic chorus paired with a trippy beat moving through the whole track that really contributes to the mood of this song. Super catchy tune.

Have not updated this in a while, so let's do another set of 5. Here we go.... 60. Benny Blanco/Halsey/Khalid - eastside (2018/19)
I don't love this song nearly as much as I used to, but it gets a spot here for just being a sweet, relatable song about young love with a nice instrumental. Not very much to it, but this connected with me a lot at one point and I had to put it on here.
59. Mike Posner/SeeB - I Took A Pill In Ibiza (2016)
A pretty obvious pick. This was also one of my favorites at the time of its popularity: the story of Posner's struggles with fame (or lack thereof) and addiction, the solid instrumental, and a bunch of super quotable lines make this a track that appeals in all aspects. Cool tune and Mike Posner's new album has some bangers too.
58. Travis Scott/Kendrick Lamar - goosebumps (2017)
I would rather put pick up the phone on this list but apparently it never showed up on a list like this. This is still fire asf: it has that cloudy atmosphere that mixes perfectly with the pounding beat and Travis's wavy vocals. This whole track is a vibe and a half and Kenny's verse is entertaining as well. Still a great track that definitely fits the mood of birds in the trap sing mcknight.
57. DJ Khaled/Drake/Lil Wayne/Rick Ross - I'm On One (2011)
I didn't really want to put DJ Khaled on here twice, but he was less annoying earlier in his career, and anyways this is effectively a Drake song, as he carries the super catchy hook and has a great verse to boot. Rick Ross and Lil Wayne deliver solid verses but the real killer here is the amazing beat: it's absolutely perfect for the song and carries the whole track. Kind of a shame Dj Khaled's newer tracks all sound manufactured and plasticky with tacked on features: this one shows how his style of supergroup collabs could actually work.
56. Cardi B - Bodak Yellow (Money Moves) (2017/18)
Man, this took a long time to click with me but when it did, man it fucking clicked with me. Holy shit, Cardi goes off on this one I've given her and her often shitty music in the past but this one shows that she can really spit. This beat is on fire and feels like it's evolving as Cardi gives one of her best performances yet. Banger
