So for just the second time in Hot AC history, AT40 goes to five Breakout/On The Verge songs while oddly enough, the CHR version has only three.

Another week where all extras are so great, I can't pick a favorite.

Wow at "Sucker" at 30 weeks on the chart, and only at #5 slowly dropping. I can't wait until it falls out of the Top 10.

I think it happened on here just a few weeks ago, however. The 1st time it happened was like half a year ago or something like that.

Also the title of the Halsey song as a breakout is "Graveyard" not "Grapeyard"

Also surprised "Someone You Loved" gets an extra week at #1. Not complaining though since it's among my favorite songs right now.

This week we say goodbye to "Close To Me" by Ellie Goulding & Diplo featuring Swae Lee, which spent 45 weeks on and spent two weeks at #1. This is only the 3rd former #1 this year to spend under 52 weeks on.

Post Malone has our only debut this week, with "Circles" entering at #38. Post Malone has two songs on this week, both back to back (the other being "Goodbyes" with Young Thug). His highest peaking song was "Better Now" at #13. Can these two songs give Post Malone his first top 10s? Find out in the weeks to come!

Kygo & Whitney Houston sing about a "Higher Love" while only going "higher" with the fastest rise of the week, jumping 8 spots to #31.

Khalid's "Talk" falls 6 spots to #20, our biggest fall this week.

Lizzo's two year old track "Truth Hurts" proves that the truth doesn't always hurt, giving Lizzo her first top 10!

Once again, the top 3 remains stagnant: "I Don't Care" by Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber at #3, "Senorita" by Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello at #2, and a third week at #1 for "Someone You Loved" by Lewis Capaldi!

The last time they had 5 Breakout/On The Verge songs on the Hot AC show is June 15, 2019.

Positions of the Breakout / On The Verge songs in the Mediabase October 6 chart (with recurrent rule) are as follows:
If We Never Met - #28
Graveyard - #29
The Hype - #30
Rescue - #34
10,000 Hours - #47

So, 4 songs other than 10,000 Hours will reasonably qualify.
"10,000 Hours" is a bit early. It may be selected either as it jumps into #29 in the October 13 chart, and/or some of the AT40 affiliate stations may play it heavily.
