Ever After is one of the best pop albums of the 2010s, quote me on it. I was actually expecting this one to do a lot better. The lyrics are a little in your face, but I think this has such a great sound to it. Josh Ramsay has such a great stage presence. Super underrated frontman. All three songs I've chosen from this album have kinda performed the same lmao. Nothing like using "Ever After" in my rock rankdown, only to use "Desperate Measures" in my pop rankdown.

You think you can placate me after what happened just before by getting rid of one of my last two bottom tens (a song that was fine, but I get the feeling that MT have better)? Get rid of the last one well before I expect it to fall, and then we'll talk.

My condolences wheat. The Cab is a band I wish did better on radio. Their Symphony Soldier album is great, and this album saw three different songs hit the top 50 on CHR, and this one came just short of it. Alexander has a super good voice for pop, and this album he utilized it super well. I was torn between choosing this and "Endlessly" where I was just listening to them back and forth, but I thought this song fit the feel of the rankdown more. Whatever, we'll rank "Endlessly" later.

There's parts I liked about this song, but I don't feel like everything came together. In a better song, those parts would have been even better.
Also, that album cover

#22 gets us to a lower standard deviation where we see no huge ranks or tanks. Though, there is a top 5 on this (our lone top 10). This has our lowest bottom 10 tally to be revealed thus far.

Labrinth is so underrated. I'm happy that LSD got him some US exposure (besides "Beneath Your Beautiful"), but his music is so great that deserves to be bigger than it is. This isn't really my favorite from him as "Earthquake" and "Jealous" would beat this, but I always really liked this one. I like the story for the song because I feel like being in a mental asylum is not something very common in pop music, lol.

This was one of the toughest songs to rank. I could have put it top half and not felt guilty about it. I don't think I would have ranked it much lower, but I MIGHT have underranked it. I want to listen to this one again.

#21 sees an even lower bottom 10 count, as just three people ranked it there. We also see five top 10s leave here, and it's kinda funny because all ten are in the exact same spot.

Whenever I say my top 10 artists of all-time, Backstreet Boys are usually the ones that stick out like a sore thumb. I used to love them when I was a little kid, and they're a band that today I can still enjoy listening to. I really wanted to do a BSB song for this rankdown, and I kinda just wanted to go down the route where it was a random album track that I enjoy instead of the normal big singles you see in personals. Never Gone wasn't my favorite album from them, but I always thought it had a few solid album tracks that I really enjoyed. This is one of them. I love this pop rock sound on them, and I think the full band sound on this one is great. Also, I'm a sucker for a key change after the bridge and this one successfully does that.

Can I just call this a Max Martin song and ignore that other guy? Is that okay?
I'm a sucker for a good BSB song. Always have been.

There is a song that's still in that I am quite glad it is still here. I hope it can beat the odds and go top 10.

Let's get back on track. I'll take you to the top 10 now, and we'll finish this up during the weekend. Four people lose a top 10 here at #20, but one person is losing that fresh top 3. This song looked destined for the bottom 10, even going to the bottom 3, before it started lifting itself up and making gains.

I love the songwriting on this one, and Wrabel's vocals are superb on this. Wrabel is someone I wish would breakout, but he really hasn't had much outside of "Ten Feet Tall" and "11 Blocks" being pretty minor hits. I had a huge list of songs to pick from, but I went with this one because I think this showcases best abilities: his vocals and his songwriting.

We watch five people lose top 10s at #19. Four people shed a bottom 10, and three of those are bottom 5. This one spent the majority of its time in the top 20, but it did spend some time inside the top 10.

I was obsessed with this song / album in 2012 or whenever this was out. This was the little song that could on pop radio. It was on the chart forever and barely missed the top 20 iirc. I was always a huge fan of this one. It's sad that he just kinda stopped doing music after this album and stuck to songwriting. His album was pretty solid and had some hits on it, but he was on an indie label (that later went bankrupt and caused him to lose a lot of royalties). For those that don't know, Chris was the lead singer for The White Tie Affair (most popular for "Candle (Sick and Tired)").
