#18 comes with the 9th highest standard deviation. Three top 10s here, but someone loses their #1 here – just the third we've seen so far.

This is by far my favorite song from Justin Bieber. When this came out, I was addicted to it. This has such a nice vibe going down. I'm a sucker for these kinda darker sounding pop songs. I've kinda softened on it over the years, but this is still great. Purpose had some solid songs on it, and this frontlined that album for me.

Purpose was a great pop album and "The Feeling" was definitely one of the highlights on it. I wish it had been a single. I always pegged it and/or "No Pressure" being released but after they whiffed on "Company," the era just abruptly ended. Tragic.

#17 sees a top 3 go out and almost another here. This got five bottom 10s, and two people are losing a bottom 3 here. This had a run of success. This spent some time inside the top 10, and this was always a player for a good run. It never left the top 20. Unfortunately for it, however, this finishes at its second lowest position.

TOTEM is awesome. I absolutely love his music. When I was picking songs for this rankdown, I knew that I was gonna showcase him, but I had like five songs I wanted to do. He's a good singer, and he's got a nice little R&B / pop sound to him. It's not entirely common knowledge, but TOTEM was on the eighth season of American Idol when Kris Allen won. His real name is Anoop Desai. My mind was blown when I discovered this was what he was doing. Sadly, he kinda just fell off the face of the earth in 2019 and barely has spoken. ETA: oh, I guess I haven't been keeping my tabs on him. He's doing a Broadway show now, lol.

While I haven't lost anything so far that I really, really got into, those mid-to-late 20s songs that are sticking around are starting to loom large. (Well, other than Wrabel. Song's fine.)
(Oh, and there's also my remaining bottom ten, but I'm pretty sure that's making the top ten.)

Five more top 10s leave at #16. Only two people let this in their bottom 10, but one person said they weren't a fan of this and put this in their bottom 3. This one had a slower start, but it started to lift itself and even spent some time in the top 10 before dropping back down to here.

"OctaHate" is usually the one that people from Pulse know Ryn for, but "Promises" was always the song that I really adored from her. I learned of Ryn through Pulse actually during my first year here. I really haven't even given her the time of day beyond this EP, and to be honest, I have no clue if she is even making music anymore lmao. She's someone I should probably re-check out at some point since I liked her first EP a decent bit.

Most of the highest songs in my ranking were discoveries, but this is the song that just missed my top ten that I kind of, sort of regret not putting in my top ten now.

We hit a new top 10 here at #15 (I believe?) with six people losing a top 10 here. Three of those are in the top 5, with one further being in the top 3. A bottom 3 leaves us here, but only one other person joins that bottom 10 ranking with something less egregious. Only one song left didn't spend time in the top 10, so I probably don't need to say this: but this song spent some time in the bottom 10. This spent the majority of its time in the top 20, however.

OH, this song reminded me Ryn Weaver existed. I loved OctaHate back in like 2015, *completely* forgot about that song. Glad this brought her back to my memory, I like this song too.

This song was one of my favorites of 2018. I'm a sucker for this kind of sound. I saw this on the New Music Weekly playlist on Apple Music, and I had heard previous Alex Aiono songs, so I decided to check this out and I fell in love. This is just super catchy.

This is fine, but this is the kind of song I expected to like a lot more. Instead, it just never got out of second gear. It probably has to do with the "YOU WERE MY, YOU WERE MY, YOU WERE MY" part. Couldn't get past it.

#14 sees us with a new high in top 10s with eight, and this one sees a solid four top 5s go out here, and one of those is in the top 3. Why does this land so low then? Well, being the fifth highest standard deviation this far into the rankdown doesn't entirely bode well for a song.

This one is a bop and a half. Marc is someone that Republic Records 100% failed to break when they should have. They did a half-assed promotion for "You & Me" to pop radio when it had a really good start and some momentum, and then they just let the project falter despite some stations picking up some album tracks from his debut. It also didn't help that they decided "Plot Twist" was a good lead single – this would have been perfect. If they had cared at all, this would have been a good follow-up to a smash of "You & Me", and then his album would have done better. Marc has released a lot of material since then too that I think could be hits.

Well, I expected this to be one of my remaining bottom halves that would make a push for, or even make the top ten. Shocked it's out now.
It would be higher, but if you know me, you know a good chunk of the reason why it's not higher.

Another eight top 10s are gone here at #13. But there's some craziness here. We lose a #1. Wait, scratch that. We lose multiple #1s.

This was kind of a little song that could for me. I liked it a decent bit when I first heard it, then it just kept growing and growing on me every time I heard it in my playlist. I think by the time I stopped doing my personal chart, this was finally top 10 after like half a year. This was one I was kinda surprised to see her label not even attempt a push. A lot of people that I showed this too IRL really liked this, and it seems like here on Pulse, things were about the same.

Here's one that I struggled hard with, because this is definitely a song I've liked before...but I just feel like I've heard it before?
Listening to it again, I could have ranked it a few spots higher.

Seven top 10s leave here at #12, with two of them falling inside the top 3. Just two people ranked this bottom 10, but they are both in the bottom 3. This one was a true little song that could. It spent lists in the bottom 10, but it just kept chugging along and reaches its peak here at #12.

I never really cared for "I Love It", but I always really liked this one. This falls under the careless pop umbrella that I can get into when it's right. This song is just a lot of carefree fun.

"Say it to My Face" is one of the few songs in this rankdown I know, I'm surprised it placed so high but I'm not complaining.

oh wow didn't expect a #1 and a #40! This is an inoffensive easy listen song. Also the video is kinda magic for me, I'm not into drag and those things but is an enjoyable watch.
