Has an artist ever had multiple sleeper hits go #1? Shaggy maybe? With “It Wasn’t Me” and “Angel”? How were those song sleeper hits?? They were everywhere and a lot of people knew they were by Shaggy and some were surprised he sang "Boombastic" that was out 4 years prior?? They also got to their peaks at Top 40 radio in 9 weeks?? "Angel" hitting the Top for multiple weeks. (I remember having conversations about him back in the day) lol |

Carly Rae Jepsen is like Robyn...some people only know them for their early pop chart hits and others know them more for their critically acclaimed later work. Cultivating that later fanbase is what will keep both of them from ever having to do oldies nostalgia tours playing their top ten hits. lol love your comparison 😂 |

Keeping my fingers crossed for Selena, imo it would be great if she got at least one week at #1. That would be another really strange thing happening in 2019. Also I wonder if she'll rise to #1 on Apple Music again - defeating Follow God definitely won't be easy but I think the song is able to make that happen, especially since it's still ahead of HIGHEST IN THE ROOM. It's not as if 2019 hasn't been full of other strange happenings, so this would be a very 2019 thing, yes. Yesssss go Selena!! |

RITMO is one of the worst track this year but not surprised it's a hit as sampling/using old tracks is pretty much what's in now (it has always been "in" to some extent but these days most of the big dance hits use old tracks).

RITMO is one of the worst track this year but not surprised it's a hit as sampling/using old tracks is pretty much what's in now (it has always been "in" to some extent but these days most of the big dance hits use old tracks). To each their own, but even though the vocalists leave much to be desired, the production is pretty great, honestly I do prefer Be Nice’s bass line, the lyrics are actually bad. So I’m kind of glad this is getting traction instead |

Follow God spent only 4 days at #1 on Spotify, by the way, LYTLM overtook it today.

Selena Gomez getting a number one isn’t that surprising, she has a very large loyal fan base and radio support, she just hasn’t been able to promote her songs due to health issues and this is the first song since Wolves to get any sort of promo from her

Follow God is probably gonna plummet by next week, same with the rest of JIK. It really appeals to no one outside of hardcore Kanye stans who will praise anything he puts out. If there isn't a major course correction by his next album, then Kanye might be finished. This album seems to have more cross appeal than any of his albums since My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, whilst I agree it'll fall off a bit I do not think that is the reason. Kanye just doesn't tend to promote songs/singles in the proper way to attain chart success. |

TIL that there are people who don't rely on charts to determine who is worthy of stanning and calling "queen." What a strange phenomenon! Did you know Carly Rae Jepsen has stans? Two hits from seven years ago and now she is a 'queen.' And to add insult to injury, several people liked his posts in agreement. As you can imagine diary, I was quite taken aback. Who are these people?! I thought this was a place of sensibility, but not only is that not the case, when I tried to make him understand he made fun of MY name and referred to himself as a legend. That is when I glanced at his profile and saw that he is a moderator. I- I am not sure where to go from here. I certainly can't go to the report button, that is for sure.
