That's right, this was a hint! The first of two collabs--and the current third single--leaves us at #3. "Does To Me" saw a myriad of #2s and #7s as well as a #17 and two #1s. That goes to show you that not only is this album VERY strong overall, but it also has something for everyone!

I do like that with Eric Church being featured on this, it's almost like a passing of the torch kind of moment. But this just doesn't do too much else for me. (No pun intended.) I'll listen to it if it's on the radio and I definitely won't skip it during a spin of the album, but I otherwise don't seek this out.

This song is currently at #12 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart..and it was literally released two months ago

Even Though I'm Leaving should be #1 but honestly if 1,2 Many pulled an upset I would not mind.

“Does To Me” continues to grow on me the more I hear it and I’d for sure rank this a bit higher at this point now. That said, i was quite surprised this was released as the third single because it wasn’t on my radar at all as being a potential song considered for release to country radio. It’s quite possible it came at the right time as Eric seems to be in-between album eras and given its fast climb up the charts it’ll likely give both of them another number one record.

"Does to Me" is literally a weaker version of "Refrigerator Door." This is disappointing.

I hope "1, 2 Many" can pull off a surprise upset, but I imagine that ETIL will win. It's so overplayed now that I've become largely unenthused with it.

And there you have it! To literally nobody's surprise, "Even Though I'm Leaving" takes home the gold and wins this rankdown. SEVEN people placed it at #1 and literally ALL BUT ONE PERSON placed it in their Top 10! An ass-whooping for sure, as ETIL won by 47 points! Overplay didn't factor in for me...if it weren't for "Moon Over Mexico" I would've made eight #1 ranks. This song is beautiful in every aspect and I cry every time I hear it because I associate it with the loss of my aunt in 2017 from cancer.

Thanks for participating y'all; I had a lot of fun! I might do an Extras rankdown--he doesn't have too many extras (a couple one-offs and his two EPs from before making it big out of nowhere) so it'd be short but it's up to y'all! (I will be waiting QUITE a while before doing the Extras tho...)

I only put it at #11 because it's been around a bit too long and because there are just so many great songs on this album. Still, if ETIL makes the 2020 Year-End List, it's a shoe-in for my Top 10, possibly Top 5.

I came close to putting “Even Though I’m Leaving” as my #1 song for the 2019 year-end country rankdown (that of course ended up being reserved for The King), so I actually would’ve been a bit disappointed to see it not win the album rankdown. I’m a sucker for these kind of songs as they always make me think of the short time I got to spend on this earth with my own father...other songs that come to mind are George’s “Love Without End, Amen”, Ricky Van Shelton’s “Keep It Between the Lines”, and “Watching You” by Rodney Atkins.

Same except for the fact that I put Dierks at #1 (The King's better song was my #4)! I would've been super disappointed too if anything besides "Even Though I'm Leaving" had taken the #1. I love the storytelling in the song and how it switches from "even though I'm leaving" to "even though you're leaving" in the second verse then back to "even though I'm leaving" but as in passing away - I think the song is extremely well-written and combine that with a killer melody and you have one of the best songs of the year!

I finished hosting the Faith Hill rankdown... Last time we were doing the top 5 of our rankdowns at the same time, I sneakily let you finish first so that I could have the 200th rankdown. Now this time, you took your time until I was forced to finish first ;)

Girl that's not revenge when the Faith Hill album is 10 tracks vs. Luke's 17 and you did her entire album over a grand total of like four hours 

If I had forced you to give me the title of 250th rankdown finished or something like that it'd be a different story  :kii:

I feel the lyrics of Refrigerator Door can be easily applied to photobooks and thus lose their uniqueness to me.

Just realize we may be ranking Upchurch's song in Extras rankdown. Interesting.
