I honestly don't have A favorite year per say, but one of my favs musically was 2005. We had Emancipation and Breakway domination (which were two pivotal albums for me), great albums from Gwen, Destiny's Child, Faith Hill, the list goes on. We also had a huge list of songs by various artists that are now iconic to me. It was a fun, exciting year to follow music for sure! I'd argue 96 and 97 are up there for me too. Yep, 2005 was THAT year

In terms of album releases, nothing beats 1994 for me. I'm not even a music critic, but I could easily make a top 30 albums list from that year. A small fraction of my choices: Green Day- Dookie OutKast- Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik Mary J. Blige- My Life Nas- Illmatic Pearl Jam- Vitalogy Aaliyah- Age Ain't Nothin But A Number Beastie Boys- Ill Communication Weezer- Blue Album Bad Religion- Stranger Than Fiction The Notorious B.I.G.- Ready To Die
And about 10 billion more.
